Highlighters -Essence - Breaking Dawn Shimmer Powder - Bella’s Secret
MakeupAddict444 12/9/2012 2:10:00 PM
I am a fan of Twilight, so I was thrilled when this collection came out. I bought two pigments, a lipgloss, a nail polish, a glitter eye liner and the shimmer powder. I am satisfied with everything (except the glitter eyeliner, which I have to apply over another eye liner or an eyeshadow applied wet) but this product is really fantastic. It gives my cheekbones a nice, gold-shimmery-ish glow. It comes in a quite big compact, so I don't have to worry about using it up. (If that happens, I will probably cry since it's a LE and it's sooo amazingly beautiful) And it was dirt cheap. I also love the packaging. It has angular (Well, it's still a round compact, but I mean angular as in: not rounded) edges and a black font instead of silver. Those two things really make a difference, because, to be honest: I think Essence's regular packaging is C-R-A-P. But the LE packaging looks great most of the time. There's nothing more to say, right? Beautiful color, nice glow, amazing price. The only con about it is that it's a LE, so I won't be able to repurchase but if I could, I sure would!

Lip Gloss -Essence - Lip Gloss
MakeupAddict444 11/23/2012 12:43:00 PM
I have two Essence lipglosses: an XXXL Shine one in Bubble Babe (a light pink with pink/red shimmers) and a LE one from the Twilight Breaking Dawn part 2 LE in Renesmee Red. Let's start with the XXXL Shine one. The color is nice, but turns out to be no more than a glossy pink-ish layer with glitters. But, well, you can't expect a opaque color layer from a lipgloss. The color durability is good, after a drink and a snack there's still some gloss on my lips. The gloss is quite sticky, but I'm okay with that; I don't like thin, watery lipglosses. The applicator works surprisingly well; it's a slanted, rectangular applicator (I'm not good at describing this lol) which works well for the upper lip as well as for the bottom lip. The packaging looks a bit cheap, but well, you can't expect a fabulous packaging for €2,80 or so. Now let's move on to the LE gloss. It's smaller than the normal Essence glosses (it's the same size as the Stay with Me lipglosses) and its upper part (the thing the applicator is glued to) is black and the lower part is transparent with black details. The product information has a Twilight lettertype (which is adorably cute) except for the Essence brand mark. The color is red with red iridescent (hope I spelled it correctly. I think so) glitter. The color actually shows up on my lips, something I didn't expect at all. This gloss is also a bit sticky, but its durability is a bit worse than the XXXL shine gloss. The applicator is also the same as the Stay with Me lipglosses (an hourglass shape) which works well for my bottom lip, but not for my upper lip. Overal, this is also a super lipgloss for the price (€2,-)

Polishes -Essence - Nail Polish
MakeupAddict444 11/23/2012 11:56:00 AM
Essence nailpolish is amazing. I got a LE one, the Breaking Dawn Part 2 LE in 01 Jacob's protection. The color is great: a kind of black/dark blue with dark blue glitters. The bottle is as big as the Catrice bottles and holds 10ml of nail polish. The design is also the same as Catrice's polishes, except the text on the bottle of course. Now, let's move on to the durability of this nail polish. Which is also great. It held perfectly for 5 days or so. (With topcoat. I think without topcoat it'll hold 3 days or so) And it is dirt cheap. (€2,-, which is amazing for a small budget like mine) The only con is that it is a limited editon. I'll try some Colour & Go polishes which are non-LE. If they are as good as this one, I'm in heaven!

Blush -Essence - All Products

This was my first blush and I LOVE it! I have the color Babydoll, which looks like a dark pink in the packaging but is actually a soft pink. I just paid €2,49 for it. That's dirt cheap! The pigmentation is also good, I used the Catrice blush brush (which is SUPER soft. I didn't know there were such soft blush brushes for only €3,99) and I really had to keep out not to overdo it. Why I gave it 4 lippies and not 5? The fall-out. When you sweep your brush over it, you can see a whole cloud of blush dust in the air. That, and the packaging, made me give 4 lippies. But still a great blush for the price!

Mascara -Essence - get big lashes volume boost mascara
MakeupAddict444 6/27/2012 7:21:00 AM
I have the waterproof version and it's GREAT! Best mascara I ever seen for that price. It makes my lashes black, long, and separated. And it's really waterproof. Its price is also marvellous (I paid €2,- or something for it) but the packaging is, as usual with Essence products, a bit simple. It looks kind of cheap. But for that price that makes sense of course. Its brush is also really big, but after a few times you'll get used to it. It is also a bit hard to remove (my DeMake-Up remover wipes (which are developed for waterproof makeup!) have issues removing it) but with an oily make-up remover that's also no problem. If you're looking for a good waterproof mascara and you don't care about the cheap looking packaging: buy it!

Eye Shadow -Catrice - Never Let Me Go quattro
MakeupAddict444 2/14/2012 10:51:00 AM
This thing isn't good. Far away from good. The eyeshadows have horrible fall-out, and when I put them on my eyes (even with a base) the colours blend into one grey-ish, dark mess. I like the packaging though it isn't very solid: you'll have to drop it just one time to ruin the packaging. It isn't even worth its price of €3,99. Spend one euro more and buy a Miss Sporty Cat's Eyes palette.

Palettes -Sleek - Original
MakeupAddict444 1/25/2012 2:20:00 PM
This is an amazing palette. It has got a range of basic colours in it, perfect for starters. The pigmentation is also excellent, and with an eyeshadow base (I use one from John G) it is even better! I love the packaging too, just plain and simple black. I like that. I had my doubts about this palette when I saw the price, but I googled the palette and it turned out to be AMAZING! And that for a price of €7,25 (I bought it at the webshop Goldy Locks.nl (I am Dutch)) and I think it's about 8 or 9 dollars. I really, really want more palettes! On my wishlist: Storm, Bad Girl, Oh so Special, Bohemian and of course: the PPQ limited edition, which is special designed for the London Fashion Week! (I know these are almost all LE's but I know a webshop that offers them all) But only 1 con.. Where are my mattes? There's only 1 matte colour in this palette. Hmm, I'd chosen a matte white and didn't place 1 of the pink colours in the palette.
