UGH! This left my hair a sticky gummy mess with no shine. This was so bad after 3 tries I tossed it in the garbage, horrible stuff....save your money.

Liquid -Givenchy - Eclat Matissime Fluid Foundation

I tried this in Sephora as a sample and was amazed how much I loved it. I have combo skin which leans to the semi oily side, I was afraid this was going to be drying but it wasn't, it was perfect. It blends like a dream into my skin, it doesn't feel like a oil slick after a few hours in fact its so weightless you can not even feel your wearing it. The coverage is gorgeous, not to heavy, not to light. It wore like iron even on a hot, sticky humid day. I applied with a sponge and didn't like the results, then tried again with a brush and again didn't like it, I read the box and (DUH) it said to apply with fingers and after I did I couldn't believe how much I loved it. Its pricey at $51.00 but it delivers on its promise of a fabulous foundation. I would repurpose this again when I run out.

Styling Products -John Frieda - Frizz-Ease Sheer Solution
rated 5 of 5
Majuriel 6/13/2012 2:50:00 PM

I got this through a Bzz agent promo, I was pleasantly surprised that it really did eliminate the frizz yet didn't weigh my fine, long, color treated hair down. It's super humid now in NJ and my hair gets so frizzy all I can do is admit defeat and normally put it in a pony tail and give up the fight, after using this and roller setting my hair has wave, movement lots of shine and no frizz!

Shampoo -L'Oreal - EverCreme Cleansing Conditioner
rated 3 of 5
Majuriel 1/24/2012 3:53:00 AM

I've been using this for about 3 weeks now and while I loved it at first I find it's making my scalp very oily even after rinsing well. Also my hair seems coated and is limp, I did leave it on for 4 minutes hoping it would cut through the residue from the past use but sadly it didn't. I really am disappointed because I loved that there are no harsh chemicals in it to strip my color and also the scent is a soft vanilla but the after effects of my hair looking so limp and flat just aren't worth it.

Styling Products -Jonathan - Create Root Volume
rated 5 of 5
Majuriel 2/26/2011 2:06:00 PM

I found this at Marshalls for $5.99 and thought what the heck I'll give it a try, I'm surprised to say wow I really like this stuff. It doesn't leave my roots stiff or stickey and the volume does last. It doesn't give super big va va vooooom volume but it pumps up enough so your hair doesn't go flat after 20 minutes.

Crème -L'Oreal - magic smooth souffle
rated 4 of 5
Majuriel 1/29/2011 1:56:00 PM

I found a sample card of this in a magazine and normally just throw them away but thought what the heck I'll try it. I was surprised how much I really liked the finish (Though the sample is just barely enough to do half your face) and also the feel of this, its weightless on your skin. It really does cover all your pores without looking like a mask. My only gripe with it is the color range, I have olive toned skin (Armani 6.5 and in BE Golden medium Matte) and try to get rid of the redness in my face (My face has alot of pink/red and my neck is a true olive tone) so far I purchased the 516 Nude Beige but think I need something alittle darker with less red in it. I do find that all of the colors seem to look almost orange in the jar but I will keep searching for the right color since I love the finish and feel so much. I may even end up buying a darker color and mixing the Nude Beige with it since I purchased from Target and they won't let you return cosmetics. I didn't give it 5 stars because of the color range and also because of the heavy glass jar, I travel alot and find a heavy jar a pain to lug around. But as for the product itself it is amazing, the finish rivals that of expensive department store brands in fact it even beats 99% of them.

Skincare - Face -Ole Henriksen - Ultimate Lift Eye Gel
rated 4 of 5
Majuriel 1/1/2011 3:07:00 PM

I have bad allergies which cause under eye bags in the morning, I've tried just about everything to no avail, the puffies were still there. From super expensive to just plain old tea bags still nothing worked......till I found this! I would have given it 5 stars for effctiveness but I don't like that it stays so sticky after applying but since it works I will repurchase it again. Its priced in the $35 range which is worth it since the product really does work. I purchased mine from Skincarerx.com and used a 30% discount code (Search Google for codes as they change often) I really do like this! Update! I am in love with this stuff! If you have puffy eyes seek no further this product does work.

Shampoo -TiGi - Fashionista Color Safe Shampoo
rated 5 of 5
Majuriel 12/10/2010 7:13:00 PM

I color my hair a burgundy brown and have really hard water, as soon as water hits my hair the color begins to wash out down the drain. I was leary about trying this shampoo because of every shampoo stripping my hair and leaving it dry and fly away but my friend gave some of hers to me and I felt bad not trying it, I'm so pleased to say I love it! It leaves my hair super shiny, not weighed down or coated and it does not strip the color or dry my hair out. It lathers like Tide on steriods so I water it down before using (1/3 shampoo to 2/3 water) and its easy to rinse out. I like the smell, I know others have said its to strong but it reminds me of grape Kool aid. I will purchase this when my bottel runs out. Good stuff!

Treatments (Eye) -Bliss Labs - Baggage Handler
rated 4 of 5
Majuriel 4/21/2009 1:35:00 PM

I had a Sephora credit after returning a mascara that caused my eyes to swell like sea sponges (But thats a whole different review) and while wandering around looking for something to spend the credit on the m/a that always helps me came on to her shift, she said oh what happened to your eyes? I told her about the mascara and she said do you want something to help with the puffiness? I said yes, and that I had alreadly applied MAC's Fast Response and usually that helps alot but not today. She applied a tiny dot under one eye and said wait 10 minutes and see what you think. I looked in the mirror again after the 10 minutes and was amazed, the puffiness was gone under the eye she put it on. I like that its in a tube for easy traveling, and the price was only $28 (Like the MAC's FR) so far I am liking this and hope it keeps working if it does, I would repurchase again.

Mascara -Guerlain - Le 2 de Guerlain
rated 1 of 5
Majuriel 4/17/2009 6:53:00 PM

Today while I was in Sephora the m/a who was helping me had he longest lashes I had ever seen. I actually asked which brand she was wearing, she said your the 3rd one today who asked me that, I'm not wearing false lashes I'm wearing Le 2 de Guerlain. I was sold and had to have a tube. $38 later I applied it 3 times trying to get it right, it was gloppy and would not dry, no matter how much I wiped off the wand my lashes clumped and stuck together looking spikey. I also have to add it pulled the curl right out after using the Shu lash curler. It was a waste of $38.00

Shampoo -John Frieda - Radiant Red Anti-Fade Shampoo
rated 1 of 5
Majuriel 8/30/2008 8:35:00 PM

If I could have given this less than 1 lippie I would have. I had just recentley had my hair colored and after using this just once I had to buy a clarifying shampoo to get the gunk out it left behind and now my color is gone. It left a strong residue like coating on my hair so much so that my hair just hump limp and had no shine. This promptly went into the garbage. The WORST shampoo I have ever used.

Treatments -Nick Chavez - Cello-Gloss
rated 5 of 5
Majuriel 8/21/2007 8:39:00 AM

This is the best of Nick Chavez's products. Its messy to work with, and a pain to have to sit under a dryer but this product does everything it says it will. It leaves your hair super shiny and with tons of volume. The only problem with this is its hard to find, QVC doesn't seem to carry it anymore so the only way for me to get it is through Ebay. If you can find it, try it, it really works.

Powder -Laura Geller - Balance-n-Brighten
rated 5 of 5
Majuriel 2/24/2007 12:38:00 PM

I am very impressed with this line, so much so that after trying the Balance and Brighten I went back to Sephora and bought the Bronze and Brighten and the Blush and Brighten. I was at Sephora and began to talk to a m/a and had to ask her what foundation she was wearing since her skin looked so flawless and natural, she told me she had used Dr Brandt Pores no More as a primer, Vincent Longo Water Canvas foundation and a quick dusting of the Balance and Brighten. I normally would run from using 3 steps since I hate the feeling of makeup on my skin, but she used all 3 on me and I was sold. This gives your skin the extra finish to achieve that flawless look and also adds a healthy glow, when she said it gave a healthy glow I had bad flashbacks to the tin man look that BE's mineral makeup gives me ( Not to mention the reaction from using BE ), she assured me this would not do that, and she was right, I just looked like I had perfect, pore free skin that had a healthy glow. This stuff is a winner.

Treatments -Dr. Brandt - Pores No More
rated 4 of 5
Majuriel 2/24/2007 12:29:00 PM

I was searching for a primer and after trying Smashbox and a few others and having breakouts I thought I would never find anything that would work for me, a Sephora m/a gave me a sample of this to try, after 2 uses I was hooked and went back to buy it. Its pricey at $45. a bottel but I was told it lasts a long time. I liked that you can use it on its own, or under or even over makeup. Its a primer and a mattifier, its also meant for problem skin ( So I am told by Sephora ) It has a slight tint to it so using it on its own makes it great for those no makeup days when you want your skin to still look perfect. I hate a primer that makes my skin feel like its covered in wax, this is just the opposite, my skin still felt like skin and best yet was smooth without a waxy silicone feel to it. The down side to this is if you have dry skin, it may not be the best product for you since its a mattifier it also combats the skins oil, but if you have normal to oily skin you will love this. I would have liked to see this in a different bottel, I feel for $45 the pump bottel when it hits almost bottom is a waste of product, you know there is more in there, you just can't get it out. I do understand though why they did use this type of dispenser the product is on the liquid/cream side so putting it in a squeeze tube could cause you to lose alot of it. Over all I do really like this and would repurchase it again.
