Scrubs -Skinfood - Black Sugar Mask

It's great, but it's no different than making your own sugar scrub at home! Nice citrus smell though! Although all you have to do is just throw a lemon in your concoction and you have a dupe :)

Bronzers -Rimmel - Natural Bronzer- 21 Sun Light
rated 4 of 5
MajorasMask 1/1/2012 6:09:00 AM

This is a pigmented bronzer that is matte yet will not make you look dirty! Only one lippie off because of crappy packaging but the product itself is lovely. Even though I'm super pale, it doesn't matter too much if I use Rimmel's "sunlight" because this adds so much dimension to my extremely pale/blank face! A great bronzer from the drugstore! And just to note, I actually favor this bronzer versus the famous ELF blusher bronzer duo!!

Lipstick -NYX - Round Lipstick Frappucino 632
rated 4 of 5
MajorasMask 1/1/2012 5:59:00 AM

WOW! MLBB Shade Alert! This goes great with my fair yellow toned Asian skin. My jaw seriously dropped when I looked at myself after applying this. My lip color hardly changed at all, but my lips stood out somehow! Ive never felt "naturally beautiful" until I put this on. It really does wonders finding the right lipstick. Another great thing about Frappucino is that it's so effortless to apply. But I did take off one lippie for the heavy sweet floral smell. I didn't notice it until later, but when I did it was pretty strong. If you can't handle scented things, I would not recommend this! But if you can tolerate that kind of thing, or would risk it to wear this absolutely Gorgeous lipcolor then I recommend it definitely. I mean it isn't expensive at all either. You've got to try this.

Eye Shadow -NYX - Barely There
rated 3 of 5
MajorasMask 1/1/2012 5:45:00 AM

I love yellow based colors, and I love natural highlighters. So for me picking this up was a no-brainer. Buuuuut! When I finally tried it out I found the texture to be very chalky! Dont get me wrong - Its a beautiful yellow golden sheen that I adore- but it's called "barely there" for a reason... I can hardly see it without a heavier hand! I think if I ever hit pan, I would let this particular shadow go. It's too bad too! Oh well!

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
rated 4 of 5
MajorasMask 1/1/2012 5:30:00 AM

I think most of the problems people have with Revlon Colorstay is in the application. Read the reviews around here long enough, and you'll probably notice a pattern! There are some important points to remember prior to purchasing Colorstay, at least in my opinion and from what I've gathered here on the Colorstay review page: always moisturize before application Concentrate on on section at a time, rather than slathering on your face A little truly does go a long way Wash off thoroughly, as this foundation is harder to take off completely Blend blend blend blend - be it a sponge, a flat top brush, kabuki, or the warmth of your fingers - whatever method applies most flattering on you As with any MU product you must experiment with it before throwing in the towel! For me, the heavy coverage is just what is needed and the best part is that it wouldn't budge! Initially, that makes it difficult to figure out application and removal. But IMO, it is well worth it!! Here's another tip for the winter (where most of our skin tends to dry out!): try wearing the slightest bit of Bio Oil underneath!! Much smoother for putting on in the morning/ taking off at night!

Mascara -Rimmel - Lash Flirt Volume & Lift Mascara
rated 3 of 5
MajorasMask 1/1/2012 5:06:00 AM

I have mixed feeling about this mascara. Unfortunately the negatives outweigh the positives. I originally bought this mascara because I had seen emilynoel83 wear it in one of her videos. Her lashes looked stunning - perfectly separated, pigminted, and volumized, and lifted. I didn't take into consideration how much of it was her false lashes though, since she does wear them regularly. I don't know about you all, but I do not wear falsies on a day to day basis. On my regular lashes this mascara did not give me the results I was expecting. They were separated of course and lengthened, but there wasn't any volume. On falsies I'm guessing this mascara would work well to enhance them. But for everyday it's not the best option out there. Also one more thing, perhaps the most important thing- this mascara FLAKES. BIG TIME. As in, flakes of crusty black falling on your cheeks and around your eye area by the end of the day. Not pretty!

Eye Shadow -NYX - Vanilla Sky
rated 5 of 5
MajorasMask 1/1/2012 4:51:00 AM

I absolutely love yellow toned eyeshadows lately, and this is no exception. I agree with a previous poster, this very much is the color of french vanilla. The formula is smooth, buttery and much better than a different yellow toned shimmer I purchased from nyx called "barely there". If you're trying to choose between the two, definitely go with this one. Better texture and color payoff. And as another poster noted, it's even more like a satin finish rather than a shimmer. It's beautiful. Try it!

Palettes -Unlisted Brand - profusion Trendsetter Colorbook
rated 4 of 5
MajorasMask 12/21/2010 7:53:00 PM

The profusion trendsetter colorbook can be found at Ross. Of course, alot of products sold there tend to be on the shady side, but I was so drawn by the around $5 price tag that I couldn't resist. The colorbook contains 40 eyeshadows under a nice rectangular mirror. The other side of the "book" holds 4 bases, 4 blushes, 20 lipglosses, and 4 highlighters. Under this, there are your run-of-the-mill eye and lip applicators housed in four spaces. I'll take time to review each: - 40 pallet eyeshadows: These shadows are surprisingly well pigmented and come in a decent range of colors. They are all shimmery, so if you are looking for a matte look you won't find it here. That said, the shimmer isn't bad at all, its very pretty. The staying power on the shadows lacks a bit and can rub off, but a primer may help. 7/10. -20 lipgloss: Lovely colors. Great range of shiny shimmers, pigmented solids, and glossy transluscents! The downside however, is that sticky feeling after wearing these. If you aren't a big fan of that (which I am definitely not), it makes up for that with how pretty these are. 7/10 -4 Bases: There are two lighter colors which are meant to be foundation, and two darker colors for contouring. However the lighter colors are far too orange hued for me to use on my fair Asian skin. The texture is also very fake powder-like. Not much use out of these, unless you want to use them as an eyeshadow base I suppose. The two darker colors have red undertones and aren't particularly flattering to me, but they can get the job done. Altogether the bases get 5/10. -4 highlighters: Light shimmery colors that can be used to highlight the high points or your face. Even the brown color has highlighting qualities. All of them can be also doubled as eyeshadows. These are bigger than the shadows but smaller than the bases/blushes but is a pretty large amount. I'd be very surprised if I ever hit pan. 8/10. - 4 Blushes: WOW. These are the absolute sell point for me. I would buy this again if/when I hit pan. These are AMAZINGLY pigmented with a BEAUTIFUL range of colors. They are so pigmented that a light brush over them could be too much color! I have to be careful, because I grew a habit of packing on the color from all those cheap blushes I used to have. Not only is it super pigmented (I can't emphasize this enough!), but the colors are really flattering (also can't emphasize this enough lol). There is a peachy pink, a brick rose color, a cool pink, and a coral-colored pink. Each one lasts very long even after rubbing, has a very subtle shimmer, and looks natural. 11/10 :D - Presentation, packaging, and overall rating: The profusion trendsetter colorbook packaging is very compact and clean, with different covers available. The previous poster and I bought the fake black alligator skin one (the sleekest looking one IMO), but there are other colors and patterns that are fun and cute. The thing that may throw people off from buying this is the strong perfume smell. The old lady rose perfume smell. It does not disappear like other products do once applied, so take a whiff of it if you can to see if you can live with it. That is the only downer for me really. I should also mention that the applicators and thier holders are absolute crap! But if you don't use those anyways (like me) because you have actual brushes, then that doesn't matter too much. Overall, this is a really great buy for what you pay! It's dirt-cheap and has everything you need for playing around with different colors :) I recommend! 8.5/10 and 4 lippies.

Eyeliner -Jane - Be Pure Mineral Gel Eyeliner-Dark Brown 01
rated 4 of 5
MajorasMask 12/20/2010 1:12:00 AM

Okay, the packaging for this product is AMAZING. The glass jar is really high Quality, with a nice screw on cap! The product itself has a dry texture to it for being a gel but I really love how it goes on smoothly :)I didnt even mention the lovely brush that comes with it. I would definitely buy again even just for that brush.

Worst eyeliner ever. I love Jane products, but this was a complete waste of money. It "glides" all right... It "glides" right off!
