Fragrances -Calgon - tropical dream body mist
Mahal_Princesa 7/9/2008 10:18:00 PM
Nice body mist. I picked this up on a whim at SDM on sale for $3.99. This is the perfect body mist to wear during the summertime. I usually wear perfumes to work but switch to light mists for the warmer weathers. Not to citrusy/fruity. Just the right combo of citrus and musk. Took a lippie off b/c the lasting power could be better.

Styling Products -TRESemme - Volume-Volumizing Mousse Mega Hold (Replaces Volume & Body Thickening Mousse)
Mahal_Princesa 7/7/2008 1:44:00 AM
This is a great DS mousse. I have long fine hair and this adds some body and volume to my hair. I apply to my damp hair at night, sleep on it and wake up with a nice bed head look. Does not dry out my hair at all. Will purchase again.

Styling Products -Garnier - Fructis Style Surf Hair
Mahal_Princesa 7/2/2008 1:00:00 AM
I had this for years but forgot about this with all the hair styling products i currently own as it was hidden in the bottom of my stash. WOW I forgot how great this product is. This adds TONS of volume and beachy texture to my long (past shoulders), layered, fine and slighty wavey hair. I applied a nickel size amount to my wet hair and then scrunched my hair to enhance my natural waves. I also applied some JF brillant brunette shine shock before hand to help reduce friziness and add some shine. I clipped up my wet hair in and then let it air dry. The result was beachy waves with tons of texture. Did not leave my hair greasy at all as previous reviewers mentioned. A great product for the summertime and so easy to use. Will purchase again.

Scrubs -LUSH - Running To the Embassy
Mahal_Princesa 6/30/2008 4:56:00 PM
IMO this is a useless product. It's not very moisturizing for a feet scrub/bar...plus you can hardly feel the pumice and sea salt in it. I was expecting a much grainer scrub that can really help get rid of calluses and cracked heels (just as the product claims on their website). This also melted too fast compared to other Lush bars (i.e. Buffy). The only thing I like about this is the minty scent. Will use this as all over scrub but will definetly not repurchase once its done. There are more effective products out there for callusses and cracked heels like the ped egg.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - Ped Egg
Mahal_Princesa 6/29/2008 10:58:00 PM
This is an awesome product. I purchased this @ Home Outfitters (for $14.99 CDN) after reading all the rave reviews and used it for the 1st time today. My heels are noticeably soft and smooth. This was very easy to use and the best part is that you don't need water to work into your heels. All other graters/filers/scrubs I've used in the past to get rid of calluses require my feet getting wet which was sometimes a pain to find the extra time in the shower to do. (Plus the results did not compare to the Ped Egg). Because you use this on dry feets you can watch TV while working this into your heels for about 10-15 minutes. Afterwards I file using the emery board and then slather on foot cream. And don't be scared of the "cheese grater" looking device. It does not hurt at all.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Lineworks Waterproof Liquid EyeLiner in Black
Mahal_Princesa 6/29/2008 1:21:00 AM
I've owned this liquid eyeliner for years. This is so fool proof and easy to use. I don't have a steady hand at all and application was a breeze! Love the felt tip applicator. Does not smudge and lasts all day on my lids.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Revlon Super Lustrous in Nude Peach LE
Mahal_Princesa 6/27/2008 2:47:00 PM
Love this! When I first purchased this I was planning to swap this away but after reading all the rave reviews I just had to try this. I'm glad I did :) It's the perfect nude peach color with a hint of gold shimmer. Not orangey at all. It's also very glossy and shiney. Looks awesome with a tan. Too bad it's LE.

Styling Products -John Frieda - Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock Leave-on Perfecting Glosser
Mahal_Princesa 6/26/2008 3:18:00 PM
This product defintely lives up to it's rave reviews. My hair is naturally burnette but I currently have blonde highlights. It's long and fine and can get really dry due to heat styling so I was looking for a product to add shine and luster to my dull hair. This did the trick. After the 1st use I noticed a difference in my hair. I applied about a pea size amount to my hands, rubbed them between my palms and applied to my soaking wet hair --- avoiding the root area.. I then combed the product thru my hair with a wide-tooth comb and blew dry my hair (after i let it air dry for a bit). My hair was so shiny that my highlights were sparkling (if you can describe it like that). No dryness or frizness and it didn't weigh down my hair. Excellent product --- decent price. I think I paid $8.99 CDN at walmart

Loose Powders -Revlon - Skinlights Face Illuminator [DISCONTINUED]
Mahal_Princesa 6/24/2008 2:46:00 AM
This is a review for the powder version which I purchased over 7 years ago. To date I probably used less than 1/4 of the container. This will last me for ages....a little goes a long way. The shade i have is Natural Light. I take a tiny amount and mix the powder with my face moisturizer for daytime. During nights out I apply the highlighter to my arms, clevage and legs. I also have the lotion version which I use more often since it's eaiser to apply. The powder version gets very messy --- I end up with powder all the bathroom counter. However for qty you receive the powder lasts way much longer.

Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Eye Enhancers - Mink
Mahal_Princesa 6/24/2008 2:29:00 AM
Love this e/s. It's a great shimmery, peachy/beige shade that works perfect on my skintone. It's a nice netural shade to wear daily to work. I wear it has an all over wash on my lid or as a highlight underneath my brow bones. Excellent price for drugstore e/s.

Lip Gloss -Rimmel - Vinyl Lip - Snog
Mahal_Princesa 6/23/2008 10:56:00 PM
Was disappointed in this as I did not like the color on me @ all. It was too mauvey and i'm not a big fan of mauvey lip colors on my pale olive skin tone. Will probably try other shades as I did like the texture and staying power of these LG.

One of my fav lip glosses. I picked up prr after reading about it a magazine. A great peachy/pinky color for my olive skin tone. A verstile color that you can wear both day and night. Great staying power as well. A winner for me.

Masks -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Masque
Mahal_Princesa 6/23/2008 10:34:00 PM
Bought this after reading all the rave reviews. I finally went to Sally's for the first time just to pick up this product. I have the tub version that will probably last me forever. I use this mask 3 times a week. Helps cleans up and reduces the size of my black heads/pores. Also use it as a spot treatment for my monthly pimples. I noticed a huge difference after 1 use. Previously I was using toothpaste...not anymore! Great mask. Kinda of difficult to apply as i'm not used to applying clay masks on my skin. Just takes some getting use to. I wish I had the squeeze tube version as it's more hygenic to apply. The clay always gets underneath my fingernails when dipping my fingers in the tub version. Other than that this product lives up to all the raves it has gotten. Also it's dirt cheap. I paid $3.99 CDN for a 3oz tub. Worth the try.
