I loved this foundation at first but after a few months it started to oxidise on my skin around miday and make me look orange. A collegue asked me if I was wearing make up beacuse my face looked different - he was so surprised when I told him I always wear it. I honestly dont know what happened, I stored it in the box away from heat and sunlight but something must have changed. Maybe its just because of the formulation of the palest shade or something. Such a shame bacuse prior to this it was an absolute revelation - full, long lasting coverage that was completely wightless. Felt like I wasnt wearing make up at all.

Polishes -Barry M - Red Glitter

Absolutely amazing. Makes my nails look like dorothy's slippers in three coats. Barry M's polishes are the best - highly pigmented, long lasting and cheap. I can't recommend them enough.

Eyeliner -Clinique - Brush-on cream liner in TRUE BLACK
rated 5 of 5

I love this eyeliner but the little flat brush it comes with is pointless. I apply it using an angled eyeliner brush and it glides on easily. If you are inexperienced at applying liquid eyeliner you may find this a little easier to apply due to the slightly thicker consistency. It dries quickly, lasts all day, and is easy to remove with waterbased eye make-up remover. A little goes a long way and there is a decent amount in the pot. One of the best value for money products clinique offer.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Vitamin E Hand and Nail Cream
rated 5 of 5

I'm in love! This hand cream has literally transformed my hands. Before I used it my nails would crack and peel, I was so self-concious of them because they were so weak and short. Within two weeks of using this every day my nails were strong and long and my hands perfectly moisturised. I'm never without this now, the difference when I dont use it is startling - my nails are weak and cracking within a week or two. It's a miracle in a tube!

Powder -Illamasqua - Powder Foundation
rated 4 of 5
Magpie13 8/18/2012 5:17:00 PM

I love this foundation. When you first apply it it looks a little cakey, but wait half an hour for it to blend with the natural oils in your skin and it looks flawless - lasts really long too. Its quite the multitasker too - I use a very light layer to set my liquid foundations (I vary my formula depending on my mood) or build it up in layers to get medium to heavy coverage for nights out. The only problem is that the packaging is awful - big and awkward looking, and don't even get me started on how easily the powder cake itself breaks. Forget being able to carry it round with you - it will shatter and spill everywhere. I've bought it four times and it has broken on four separate occasions. I only keep going back as it is so good!

Liquid -Illamasqua - Rich Liquid foundation
rated 3 of 5
Magpie13 8/18/2012 5:08:00 PM

This foundation offers seriously heavy coverage - a tiny amount goes a very long way. However I find that by lunchtime it is literally slipping off my face - and I dont have particularly oily skin. It sinks into every fine line and clings to dry patches and blemishes. Powder also tends to go cakey over the top of it. So best avoided if you have oily/combination skin. Also, as usual with Illamasqua, the packaging feels cheap - the label wore off within a week. It does have a small nozzle which makes it easy to squeeze out the right amount though so I guess that is one plus.

Brows -Illamasqua - Eye Brow Cake
rated 4 of 5
Magpie13 8/18/2012 4:56:00 PM

I have this in black and it does an excellent job of turning my barely visible blonde brows into statement gothic arches/scouse brows! I used it with a damp eyeliner brush for sharp bold lines but can be used dry for a softer look. Lasts all day so long as I dont touch my eyebrows (somthing that can be remedied with sealing gel). However, as with every illamasqua powder I have purchased it has crumbled and broken within amonth of purchase. I do not carry it round in a make-up bag, it is stored flat on a shelf out of direct sunlight and it has still crumbled. This is something illamasqua seriously need to sort out as it is very frustrating - I would buy again if this problem was fixed.

Primer/ Corrector -Bourjois - Flower Perfection translucent smoothing primer
rated 4 of 5
Magpie13 8/18/2012 4:48:00 PM

This primer is quite good - smoothes out any fine lines and disguised the few small acne scars I have on my forehead. Plus it did minimise my pores a little. It didnt reduce shine but did make my make up last a bit longer. However, it is far too expensive for how much you get. The pot is tiny, I used it sparingly on my t-zone every day and it lasted a month. At £10 a pot thats rediculous. Definately not value for money.

Pressed Powders -Clinique - Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder
rated 5 of 5
Magpie13 8/18/2012 4:33:00 PM

This is by far the BEST powder I have ever used. It removes shine keeps it away for 4-5 hours without any cakiness or build up. I have seriously pale skin - Illamasqua shade 105/ Dainty Doll very fair. I bought 101 invisible matte which looks kind of dark beige in the compact but blends in flawlessly without adding any colour. A little goes a long way too so will last for ages. Definately worth every penny!
