Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Summer Vanillas Berry
MagicFROST 4/12/2011 2:52:00 AM
I just found out today, while in BBW, that this line is going to be discontinued! As of April 18th, stores are to be pulling all the Vanilla Berry off the shelves to hold back to the semi-annual sale (in June for those who dont track) where this line will be CLEARANCED OUT then and gone forever! Cherry Vanilla is taking its place, and even in that line they didnt launch a body cream. The whole signature vanillas line may soon be in line for dismissal, who knows with corporate BBW? So, ladies if you love the wonderful scent of this like I do, take note!
Treatments (Eye) -Dove - Energy Glow Eye Brightening Cream

I really love this eye cream. But, I think I am the right face for this eye cream. This doesnt promise to remove under eye darkness or circles nor does it claim to help wrinkles. If it was purchased for that, youre not going to get results because its not meant for that. But it does claim to brighten, and it delivers! I'm not thirty yet, and while I have no wrinkles, I'm forever on the lookout! This cream contains SPF which is probably one of the most important things in a wrinkle protector. It has micro-shimmer (not at all the chunks of glitter one reviewer claimed) that isnt enough to make you look like a disco ball but enough to highlight and make you look awake. I apply it to my under eye and my lids, but on my browbone it does wonders to highlight. This product goes on smoothly and doesnt cause millia, and when worn alone its enough to enable me to have MU free weekends. I will re-purchase.
I purchased the body cream in this scent. This comes in a classic flip-top tube. Purchase price is around $5 which is great for this thick rich cream, and you get a good amount of product. This formula can be drying though, so if you do have problem skin please keep that in mind. But, this is a good big-box store buy for a thick cream. Pick the scent you like, they have lots.
I purchased this smell in Midnight Garden or something of the like. What I got was a tried for knockoff of BBW Moonlight Path, and an epic fail in my book. The fail isnt for missing the mark on trying to replicate a huge best seller of BBW, the fail is for the cheap crappy packaging combined with lackluster performance as a bath gel. The product has a viscosity of that between a gel and a liquid and although it does indeed foam- it leaves huge nasty tub rings and soap scum beasties galore. The top of the bottle broke almost as soon as I used it, and I can confidently rate this as crappy! Dont use this as a bath foam, no matter what the bottle says. You can use it in the shower with pouf to scrub with, but if you have glass shower doors I advise against it.
Skincare - Body -Bath and Body Works - Moonlight Path Bubble Bath

Its a no-brainer that if you dont like the smell of Moonlight Path, then you wont like any of the products in this line. The scent does not change from one item to the next, eg the wallflower smells just like the body butter. However, if you do like MP, you'll be pleased to know that this scent is part of BBWs signature collection line and will be around for a long time. Back to the bubble bath.... This product comes in the standard (what ever that is at the time) packaging that their lotions come in, at the moment (2011) that means a clear plastic bottle with a push-pop lid that has a shiny chrome type metal band encasing. The bubble bath is a rich consistency and and has a beautiful shimmer that does not really transfer to your skin, but also does not transfer to a ring in your tub either. Makes a nice foam bubble, and produces fabulous scent that can be smelled throughout the house. Priced the same as most of the signature collection, you can often find sales like buy 2 items get one free.
Eye Shadow -Hard Candy - Foiled Again Metallic Shadow Stick - Celestine

I purchased this eyeshadow stick for one purpose: to highlight the inner corner of my eyes. It works great for this purpose. This shade provides enough brightening power without making look like a sparkly vampire, so it will stay in my drawer. However, I agree 100% with the previous reviews concerning using this stick for a foiled all over lid look, its just not going to happen with this product. So, if you want that look, this isnt for you. But to highlight, yes, this works beautifully and at under $10 you cant go wrong. For reference, I use this stick 2-3 times a week, and even after 6 months I have barely used a quarter inch of product. Extremely long lasting for this purpose.
