Polishes -Sally Hansen - Complete Salon Manicure Nail Polish
Maggieyso 6/5/2012 9:11:00 PM
I have this product in 4 or 5 shades, and I really like it, but I don't love it. A couple of the shades I have are prone to streaking, but if I'm careful w/ application it's not too bad. The staying power is amazing, even better than OPI. I'm wearing Fired Up now. I applied it 5 days ago and have only had mild chipping on a couple of nails. It does take a while to dry, but the results are worth it.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
Maggieyso 4/15/2011 12:30:00 AM
The good news? This primer turns eye shadow into cement. The bad news? This primer turns eye shadow into cement. Yes, it keeps my makeup in place, but it is a BITCH to get off. The packaging sucks, as everyone knows. Next time I'm just going to order the xl size online, since that comes in a regular squeeze tube. This is the first primer I've used, and it works well enough that I don't feel the need to use any others.

Polishes -OPI - Black Shatter
Maggieyso 4/14/2011 11:47:00 PM
This is the best $8 I've spent in quite a while. I normally consider higher end nail polishes a rip off. I've been perfectly happy sticking with my Sally Hansen, but after seeing so many pictures of this shatter polish, I just had to buy it. I have it on right now over a white polish, and it looks amazing! I do recommend wearing it over light or bright colors. I tried it out over a sort of dark gold/pewter color and it didn't look very good. Other than that, I highly recommend this!

Blush -NYX - Taupe
Maggieyso 4/10/2011 1:08:00 PM
I like this shadow because not only is it a great neutral color for the lids, but it is one of the best shades i've found for contouring my cheeks (i'm not sure what shade i am in MAC, but in most foundations i wear either the lightest or 2nd lightest shade.) I feel like I'm getting more than one good use out of this product, which makes it seem like an even better deal.

Lip Liners -MAC - Lipliner in Cherry
Maggieyso 3/8/2011 7:40:00 PM
I bought this for use with my MAC Russian Red lipstick. I really like how smooth the liner is, and I also like that I can get more than one use out of it. I can use with with Russian Red, or i can fill in my lips with it and put a clear gloss over it. Since the color is slightly different than the lipstick, it does end up being two different looks. I'm very happy with this purchase, but I'm hoping that I don't have to repurchase again for a while, because it's pretty expensive.

If compliments were currency, this lipstick would've paid for itself in a matter of days. The PERFECT red for me :)

Polishes -Revlon - Minted #85
Maggieyso 3/8/2011 7:35:00 PM
i bought this on a whim. i love the color, it's a nice sea-foam green, a very unique color for a nail polish. i've had problems with revlon's nail polish in the past, it does tend to streak. i used two coats with this one and it looks pretty opaque. while i'm not dissatisfied with the purchase, i doubt i'd buy it again.

Lip Gloss -Sally Hansen - Lip Inflation
Maggieyso 1/12/2011 11:56:00 PM
This isn't my favorite plumping lip gloss, but it's pretty good. I got it in the shade ''temptress'', which is a really nice rosy pink. It has this strange smell, like a cross between cinnamon and bubble gum, but I like it. It definitely tingles when I put it on, and it does plump slightly, but the tingle goes away in a few minutes. I really like the texture of the gloss, its soft but not too sticky, and it has decent staying power. I may try this in other shades.

Tinted Moisturizer -Wet 'n' Wild - Ultimate Sheer Tinted Moisturizer - Natural
Maggieyso 1/12/2011 6:15:00 PM
I got this in the shade beige, which is the lightest shade they make. It looked ok when i tried it out in the store, but as soon as i got outside in the sunlight it looked way too dark and very orange. Even though it is supposedly a moisturizer, it doesn't feel like it, it just feels like foundation. But I got it for %50 off, so I'm only out a couple bucks. If wnw eventually reformulates this and releases it in lighter shades, I may try it again, but for now it's just way too dark.

Powder -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Talc-Free Illuminating Powder Duo
Maggieyso 1/4/2011 8:49:00 PM
I've never had much luck with mineral foundations, they always seem to emphasize my dry skin. A friend of mine had some physicans formula foundation at her house and let me try it out. I really liked the smoothness of it, so I bought some of my own. This particular kind was on sale for 75% off, so I couldn't beat the price. Ok, so I hate the packaging. It's pretty hard to get just one of the powders out. The brush it came with is awful, its so rough and scratchy, I tried it out and threw it away. Also, the powder has kind of a weird smell. As far as the product itself, I really like it. I don't love it though. It gives very little coverage, so I'll definitely need to use concealer if I'm only gonna wear that. I do really like the way it looks on my skin, when the two shades are used together it gives me a really nice subtle glow. Shade 1 by itself makes an amazing highlighter, noticeable but not unnatural looking. I'll have to wear it for a while before I can tell what it does to my skin. But for 75% off, I'm pretty happy with what I got.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Insta-Dri Nailpolish Colors
Maggieyso 1/3/2011 11:20:00 PM
I have this in quite a few shades, the latest of which being Mint Sprint. I like these polishes because they are very opaque, have decent staying power, and are pretty wallet-friendly. The only thing I don't like about them is the brush design, it brings out too much polish at once and tends to get everywhere. This causes cleanup to take a while, but if you're careful and let the excess polish drip off before you start using it, its not too bad. Insta Dri has a great variety of colors, and I'll be buying more of them.

Masks -Freeman - Facial Peel-Off Mask Cucumber
Maggieyso 1/3/2011 9:18:00 PM
This mask does not do a goddamn thing. I bought it after loving the Lemon Mint mask by the same brand. There's something in this mask that, when anywhere near my eyes, makes them burn and water. The mask is cooling, which I guess is nice, but it doesn't remove oil, doesn't remove dead skin, and after taking it off I can't even tell I had it on. It's hard to believe that two masks from the same company can be so different. I will not be repurchasing, I doubt I will even use what's left of this one. If you want a good mask, Freeman makes some nice ones, just NOT THIS.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
Maggieyso 1/3/2011 8:51:00 PM
I just bought this in 'buff'. I've been using covergirl trublend in the shade 410, and have been wanting something that'll give me smoother coverage and not emphasize my dry, flaky skin. Buff is just a hair too light for me, but it's so close that I could probably still wear it, at least at night. I bought the kind for normal/dry skin. The coverage is decent, but the formula is a bit thick, it's kind of hard to blend in. It doesn't do much of anything for my dry skin, but to be fair, I haven't exfoliated in several days, so maybe it'll look better after i do that. Overall it's a decent foundation, but really not any better than CG trublend, and since that's cheaper, that's what i'll continue using.

Masks -Freeman - Facial Clay Mask - Mint & Lemon
Maggieyso 1/3/2011 4:02:00 AM
I bought this on a whim the other day, and I'm very glad I did! I don't have too many skin problems, but I do have rather large pores. I used the mask last night. It smells amazing, leaves my skin in great condition, and it really does reduce the appearance of my pores. I caution against leaving it on too long though, since once the product gets too dry it can be pretty uncomfortable. My one complaint is that I have to use a pretty large amount of the stuff to cover my face, but since its pretty cheap, I guess that's not too much of an issue. The only thing I wish is that they gave some kind of recommendation on the back as to how often it should be used. Overall, it's a great mask and will DEFINITELY be repurchasing! :)

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Matte eyeshadow in Peach Sorbet
Maggieyso 12/28/2010 9:56:00 PM
This e/s doesn't do much as far as color payoff. it barely shows up on my lids. But on the plus side, it is a really nice highlight color, both for under the brow and on the cheek bone. I am getting use out of it, but I wouldn't buy it again.
