I was really nervous to try this stuff on my skin considering I am pretty acne-prone (and have combination skin.. how fun..) but i was basically out of options. I have tried expensive acne medications and emollient moisturizers for my cheeks with little to no results. The chapped skin around my cheeks was really bothering me so I began using Vaseline. While I love Vaseline for its other uses, it feels to greasy on my face and gets everywhere on my pillow. Fast forward to being introduced to this stuff. It is pink, smells good, and has a less-greasy consistency when compared to Vaseline. I wash my face, apply witch hazel, and rub a tiny bit of this on my face while it is still wet and sleep with it on. Just make sure to exfoliate with a scrub or clarisonic in the morning! Not only are my cheeks patch-free, my breakouts are few and far between. This is not some miraculous I-just-tried-this-once miracle, I have used an entire tube of this stuff over the past year and just repurchased. I do NOT know how it works, but it does. Give it a try.
Finding this product was a huge score for me. My good friend from college always had that beautiful, I-wish-I-looked-like-you skin. I used to eye her makeup bag when she would be getting ready with me to go out so I could see how she achieved the Dewey-but-not-greasy look. One day I finally just asked her and found out what it was. "Powder base?" I said. "You mean.. Old lady makeup?!" Apparently her mother and grandmother habe always used it and had beautiful skin. I had to have it. You can imagine my excitement when I picked up some powder base (ivory) and realized it was only $16.99. That is cheaper than any of their other foundations! i began to worry that it wouldnt work as well. My friend applies hers with a wet foundation brush, so I did the same. Sure enough, I was able to get that gorgeous Dewey skin. The real plus with this stuff is that, even though it is a very moisturizing foundation, it does NOT break me out. And believe me, my sensitive skin will find any and every reason to break out. This stuff has actually helped my acne due to the zinc oxide in it!!! Total score. I will repurchase again and again. :)
I just love Yardley soaps. I ESPECIALLY love the Lavender variety. I have lavender everything (Bronners, shampoo and conditioner, and deodorant) and I guess you could say I have come to know that a citrus-y lavender is my favorite. This is it. I wish they made this in perfume :(
Lotions/ Creams -Kiss My Face - Honey & Calendula Moisturizer

****Edit***** I wound up having to find something more emollient :( i still adore the smell!! I love this product. I love this product. and just incase you forgot... I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. I am a sucker for sweet smells, and the combination of honey and calendula is a sure-fire win for me. It moisturizes very well. I use it right out of the shower on moist skin and let it air dry before I put on my clothes and voila! Beautifully moisturized skin. It's simple and cheap.. and the healthier ingredients in Kiss My Face's products VS other drugstore products are enough to keep me repurchasing. LOVE.
I must say.. I was a bit confused as to why this got such great reviews. I purchased it thinking it was a sheer lipstick like Clinique's Black Honey. I'm a dork because its super opaque if applied straight from the tube. The trick is to use lip balm and then use your fingers to add the right amount of beautiful berry color! Love it!!
FINALLY!!!!! A blush that does not make me look like a complete hooker! I have pretty pale skin, and I am so glad to see that rimmel carries a blush that is light enough for those pale girls like myself. The texture and application is silky smoothe and pigmented. Makes me look so healthy and pretty! I will repurchase again as again!
Moisturizers -Merlot - Moonlight Radiance Natural Grape Seed Night Cream

Woohoo!!! I'm so glad I got to try this stuff! As a pretty cheap girl, I didn't want to spend the $20 on this moisturizer just to potentially hate it. Luckily, I won a Facebook contest and received this in my gift bag. An let me say... It's absolutely divine. I have VERY acne prone skin. My face can break out within minutes of putting something on my face.. But this stuff just soothes it and plumps it right up! I also find that it absorbs crazy fast, leaving me with a matte surface to start my foundation makeup. Try it. You'll thank me later.
Lotions/ Creams -Burt's Bees - Milk & Honey Body Lotion

I love the feel of my skin after using this lotion, but sadly the smell just isn't the same. Now it's like a plastic bottle with hints of vanilla and herbs. Not a fan. :/
Never would have thought I would have purchased what I told people was "glorified vaseline". Guess what? I WAS WRONG. I snagged a tube of this for only $7 at Marshals. Beats paying full price! The first week I only used it on my lips and cracked cuticles, which were super supple by the end of the week. I was hesitant to try on my face as it seems greasy-- but I did. And I'm glad I did. This stuff can heal my acne like a BOSS. I don't know how, but it does. The consistency looks like vaseline coming out of the tube, but as you rub it together it liquifies into an oil that is easily rubbed into any dry part of the skin. At first I thought the smell was pretty off putting, but now I have come to enjoy it!! On my 2nd tube now! I'm a total convert!
I'm so upset that this has such low reviews! I think people don't really know the secret to this mascara.. It's wet. Really wet. That's a good thing because, if used sparingly, it lasts me a good long while. Because the formula is so wet, it really coats every lash. If you are looking for voluminous, spider lashes, this is not for you. If you are looking for lashes that are defined but natural looking, try this. I have also found that this is a LOVELY base if used under your favorite mascara. I find it helps to separate the lashes and prevent clumping when you use other msscaras. So, for those of you that absolutely hate it and just have it laying in their makeup drawer, get it out and try it like this! I always keep one of these in my stash.
Ok, I have been using this soap on and off for years now. I never really thought to write a review on such a basic beauty staple. But alas, I have discovered another great use for this! I have never even thought of using a bar soap on my oily, acne-prone skin. It was only until 3 weeks ago that I read online that beauty bars are much different from other bar soaps, and they are effective at cleansing facial skin without drying it out/stripping it of its natural oils. I have just been lathering up my face with this and using my clarisonic.. Let me tell you... My face has never been so clear or soft. I really think that the more simple your routine, the happier your skin can be! Try it out! At like $1 a bar, it's worth it.
This was one of the best buys I have ever made. It comes in a small tube, and I was disappointed at first. But woah. The product is extremely creamy and a little goes a long way. If you blend it in with a stifling brush like I do,it covers so well and looks so natural. you literally can not see one trace of if on my skin (I use beige 1). I just repurchased. Try it! It works better than Bobbi brown!
Oh. My. Gosh. What a great mascara! I am quite the diva when it comes to my eyelashes. I want a formula that will hold my curl but still be flexible enough to not make my lashes look stiff or clumpy. I think the trick to this stuff is the brush! It's a rubber brush and I find it coats my lashes evenly and really helps lengthen and define them. I will be repurchasing! Score!
Simple. On trend. A real classic. I have never found a shade so beautiful! Most sheer shades get streaky after 1 coat. BB stayed smooth and even. I love it with three coats, it brings just enough color to my nail that it looks fresh and polished. I'll always have a bottle of this on my stand.
I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews. As someone with very dry, acne-prone skin, it's good for me to find an exfoliating scrub that is gentle yet powerful enough to remove any "buildup" that I have left on my skin. This stuff works wonderfully. No perfumes that sting my skin, no huge granules of random scrubby-material, just a great, gentle scrub that polishes my skin and makes me look so great. LOVE IT. ******EDIT 1/28/2013 ******** Sadly, this stuff smells like chemicals.. and the ingredients really *aren't* that simple. I am taking off 3 lippies for this. I have swapped this out for a good ol' clarisonic.
