Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Dr. Pepper lipsmackers
Maaya 12/4/2011 10:08:00 AM
I purchased this in the triple pack with the Squeezy Lip Smacker and the Liquid Lip Smacker, all in the Dr. Pepper scent/taste theme. This review pertains only to the original lip balm, however. I had contemplated buying this product years ago based on the reviews, but had never been a fan of the Dr. Pepper drink so I turned to other high-rated products instead. Lately, however, I've lost my taste for glassy, wet-looking lip glosses and have been on the lookout for moisturizing, slightly glossy lip glosses/balms, so I finally gave in and bought this product. I have to say that I'm really, really pleased with just about every aspect of this lip balm. It barely adds any color to my lips, which I could care less about, but it is extremely moisturizing and smells cherry-cinnamon-ish. I can see the smell being a bit overpowering on some days, but I do prefer there being a fairly pleasant smell over no smell at all or, even worse, a gross one. The lasting power is good in my book - I can get about an hour out of it before my lips stop feeling as soft against each other. But, really, considering this entire pack of 3 glosses cost a bit over $5, while the colour juice I was considering buying for nostalgia's sake cost $9, I'm completely in love. This is the first product I've used since I completely stopped using makeup years ago, and I am now interested in checking out other scents/flavors of Lip Smackers, for the option of change in what I wear. I'm really happy this is cheap and will definitely buy again. =)

Lip Gloss -C.O. Bigelow - Mentha Lip Shine
Maaya 9/2/2005 2:29:00 AM
I bought this because of the high ratings and love it just as much as most other MUAers =) It comes in a soft green tube with a slanted tip applicator. It smells just like peppermint and tastes good too. It leaves a nice cooling sensation after application which has been really nice these past weeks of summer. It's also moisturizing and verrry shiney. And it's only $7.50 here in NY. I'll repurchase =)

Lip Gloss -Sugar Cosmetics - hooked on sugar lip gloss
Maaya 7/12/2005 11:07:00 PM
I love this product from Sugar. It's double the size of the original Sugar Slicks and a dollar less =) In the tube is pink/peach shimmer, and on my lips it's just clear and shimmery. The scent is sooo good, like sugar. There seemed to be no sugary taste like my other Sugar Slicks, but that's ok. I purchased this with MAC's LipGelee and this turned out to be much better, because the texture was a bit thicker and lasted longer while be moisturizing at the same time. I'll happily repurchase =P

Lip Gloss -MAC - LipGelee - Saplicious
Maaya 7/12/2005 11:00:00 PM
Ehh, this was just ok. I picked this color after trying a few because it looked really pretty on, a nice very sheer and shimmery beige. More pigment would've been nice. What is really annoying, though, is the formula. It does squeeze out of the tube really fast and has a thin gel formula that lasts about an hour. It also dried my lips on the first application and the shine wasn't very attractive, somewhat greasy. The vanilla scent is nice, but it can be found in the other cheaper MAC lip products as well. I will not repurchase.

Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Shiny-Licious in Berry
Maaya 7/7/2005 11:36:00 PM
This is my fourth Shiny-Licious and second favorite of the four I own. It's a fuchsia in the tube, but on it becomes a deep pink that is very flattering. The gloss is very shiny and has a candy-like scent to it. It feels moisturizing after being applied and, like my Shiny-Licious in Caramella, it has good staying power. I will probably repurchase =)

Lipstick -Hard Candy - Lip Velour in Fluff
Maaya 5/30/2005 5:46:00 PM
I purchased this thinking it would be creamy and moisturizing. Instead, it's extremely thing and feels as though it has evaporated off my lips in about five minutes. The color, however, is very pretty and natural. Sort of pinky-brown, not sure how to describe it though. If you want color that lasts long, you should try this lip product immediately. Otherwise, pass on...because it's just too dry and is formulated for lasting color only, not shine or moisturization. Still pretty...I'll use it but I won't repurchase.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Ice Creamies in Cookie Dough
Maaya 5/30/2005 5:30:00 PM
OMG this smells JUST like cookie dough. It's a tan color in the tube but applies thin and clear. Nothing special, but the scent is so true that this is definitely worth having. I'm not sure what the taste is though. Anyway, buy this if you find it because it smells sooooooooooooooo good :P

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Lites- Sugar Cube
Maaya 5/30/2005 5:25:00 PM
Sugar Cube was one of the LE Lip Lites for the holidays. It looks like a clear gloss with little sparkles in it and applies clear. It smells like sugar/marshmallow, very similar to the Lip D'votion in in Sugar Kiss. The formula is thinner than that of the regular Lip Lites but moisturizing. The shine is also nice--not blinding but still pretty. I would repurchase but they've probably been discontinued already.

Lip Gloss -Dessert Beauty - Dessert Treats Deliciously Kissable Plumping Lip Candy in Bubble Gum
Maaya 5/22/2005
Of the three I've tried so far, I must say that I like Bubble Gum the least. The bright pink color in the tube goes on a clear pink. Because I don't expect much color from these glosses anyway, I tend to base most of my review on the scent. To me, the scent of bubble gum is ordinary and yes, somehow it manages to taste like chewed gum, so it doesn't even taste real. Same cooling sensation as the other "lip candies". Won't repurchase.

Lip Gloss -Dessert Beauty - Dessert Treats Deliciously Kissable Plumping Lip Candy in Banana Split
Maaya 5/18/2005 5:31:00 PM
Sigh another 4 _-_ By the low ratings these l/g's have been getting, I thought I'd hate them. But so far I've tried two and really don't mind wearing them. They are sheer, coz banana split comes out clear with gold shimmer. But to me it smells like banana bread and tastes good too. Sigh...it is thin and only lasts about 30 mins to an hr if you're lucky. The price well...they come out to be about $3.50 each so I don't really care. I got this in the sweet talk set and have only tried this one and creamsicle so far. I don't mind either of them. They're more sparkly than shiny. The glitter isn't too gritty and there is a cool feeling after application though I haven't noticed any plumping. I could care less if my lips got plumped up though, so yea 4 l/s's but so far I think if I repurchase it'll only be only one out of the set, and as of now I've only tried 2/6 so I won't be repurchasing the banana split.

Lip Gloss -Dessert Beauty - Dessert Treats Deliciously Kissable Plumping Lip Candy in Creamsicle
Maaya 5/14/2005 9:27:00 PM
Aaah...I guess I'm weird rating this a four. O well. I just bought the Sweet Talk set and the only one I've tried so far is the Creamsicle coz its supposed to suck the most looking at the ratings... Anyway, I agree that this gloss is very very thin and probably lasts about 30 minutes to an hour tops. It is grainy too but not as bad as some other glosses I've tried. It gives barely a hint of color and doesn't look as glittery as it feels, which is good for me. Ok the scent...idky but to me it does smell like orange cream or something. And it tastes sweet too. After application it provides a cooling sensation as mentioned but I don't see any plumping and I'm glad about that coz I don't want any lip gloss that plumps lips anyway. Will I repurchase? No. Unless I buy the whole set again but I haven't tried the rest of the colors/flavors so yea idk.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Colorjuice in Shimmy Pop
Maaya 5/14/2005 9:20:00 PM
I find myself back to buying these. I was interested in the new colors because they're supposed to be pigmented. I was going to buy Butterscotch drop but bought Shimmy Pop instead because I don't own any purple l/g's nd it seemed to be both pink nd purple in the tube. I ended up buying butterscotch today anyway... Shimmy Pop *is* as nice as its been described. It doesn't go on purple, but it makes my lips pinker with pink and purple shimmer. Very pretty. And, idk if this goes for all the new colourjuices, but Shimmy Pop was shinier than the other colourjuices I have tried, like Watermelon Crush and Strawberry Smoothie. I'm glad I purchased this color now because it looks so nice and unique on. I might repurchase.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Smackers Ice Creamies
Maaya 2/19/2005 1:39:00 AM
I purchased the vanilla and the cookie dough flavored ones but I only tried the vanilla. The packaging is almost identical to that of the Liquid Lip Smackers, so I was excited to see these new ice cream flavors and thought they would have the same formula. The scent of the vanilla is very sweet and creamy. But the texture, as another reviewer stated, is very thing in greasy therefore causing the product to lack staying power. If these had been made in the same formula as the Liquid Lip Smackers, I would love them. But, unfortunately, they aren't and because of this I don't think I'll repurchase.

Lip Gloss -Sally Hansen - Diamond Lip Treatment - Diamond
Maaya 2/13/2005 12:45:00 AM
I purchased this with Always Ascher and Royal Romance and I have to agree with everyone else on this. This gloss is just perfect. It's just like my Lustreglass in texture--thick and somewhat sticky. It moisturizes my lips and is very shiney and shimmery. The glitter isn't annoying in any way and wears of with the gloss rather than staying on the lips.l The smell is kind of strong but bearable nonetheless-a mix between vanilla and coconut. Overall I really love this product and will definitely check out the other colors.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - VitaGloss O2 A Splash of Color
Maaya 1/27/2005 1:49:00 AM
I found this while looking for the Diamond Lip Treatments lol. So they got a VitaGloss liquid lip gloss with the wand, the VitaGloss lip balm, and now the tube form with "a splash of color". As I've been looking for a natural plum color, I picked this up in Sheer Plum. The only other one there was Sheer Cherry or something like that, a orange-red tinted gloss. Sheer Plum is basically purple gloss in the tube. So I purchased it (it was on display with some other new glosses called Ice Creamies :P mm). First thing I noticed after opening the package is the SWEET SWEET jelly/jello scent. It was like the Daiquiri JT only 10xs stronger. Made me sick...but I don't let any products go to waste loll so I tried it on today. The scent didn't seem as bad anymore but sickening nonetheless. The look and feel however are really nice. Surprisingly, the purple in the tube made my lips somewhat redder/pinker. It said on the packaging "enhances the color of lips" so I guess it wasn't gonna go on purple :( But it looked nice and shiny too. Sort of slippery like gel but thick too. It moisturized nicely like the sponge-on VitaGloss. I can't really comment on the lip balm coz I never tried it. I highly recommend this for those who aren't sensitive to scents and really like berry scents in lip gloss. As for me, it's just too strong. I won't repurchase. P.S: I just noticed something strange...when it's on the scent turns into apple pie...?
