Pressed Powders -Almay - Clear Complexion Light & Perfect Pressed Powder

I've tried a lot of pressed powder to try to control my oily skin, I've been let down by quite a few. Almay is my favorite face makeup brand. I have their foundation and blush, absolutely adore them! I picked this up a few weeks ago and have been using it along with my Clear Complexion foundation. I get a really pretty complexion and a few strong hours of oil control. Summer will be the real test with this powder!

Mascara -Maybelline - Illegal Length Fiber Extensions- Waterproof

This is a really great mascara! My friend tried it out before me and complained that it clumped and weighed down her lashes. I gave in to my urge and bought it; absolutely amazing results on me! I have medium length, straight eyelashes - that definitely need a volume and length boost that HOLDS. This mascara gives me long, lush lashes without that spidery look. After I curl my eyelashes, the curl really holds with this. Length+volume! I love the idea of fiber mascara's, I like to pick out the fibers, I'm just amazed by them haha. This is by far a staple in my makeup drawer. Maybelline, you're wonderful :)

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Colossal Waterproof

I really like this mascara. I've tried so many in the past, and I refuse to spend big bucks on something that I can find compareable in the drug stores. In my opinion, Maybelline is the best drug store brand, they know how to pump out a good quality macara. Right now, I have three Maybelline mascaras I'm working with. I have this in Classic Black and I love my results. I get good, lasting volume and even some length. My eyelashes are medium length, but they like to stick straight out and lay flat. After curling and applying a few light coats of this; I'm left with well-defined, volumized lashes that get themselves noticed. I don't have a problem with this clumping for me, no matter what mascara I use I always use my eyelash comb just to get some good separation. (I think the comb adds some length too.) I've cried with this on and I don't get the dreaded raccoon eyes or any flakes. The brush is a little awkward to work with, I always end up with the smears on my eyelids, but I can live with that. I definitely think this has become a staple in my makeup bag.

Cleansers -Cetaphil - Dermacontrol OIl Control Foam Wash

I'm on my second bottle of this product, and I'm pretty happy with my results. I've been on acne medication from my dermatologist and she advised me to stick with this brand. I have pretty oily skin and this wash helps me be able to get through the day without looking like an oil-slick. It doesn't dry my skin out or irritate it. I use this twice a day along with the matching moisturizer in the morning. I can't really say if it completely clears acne, it more controls the things that can cause acne. I have some scarring on my cheeks from a bad breakout and they are starting to fade, but I noticed the biggest difference using my prescribed medication. (Atralin and Acanya). I adore the smell of this stuff, it's so refreshing. I get a nice lather and just real clean feeling skin. :)

Liquid -Almay - Clear Complexion Blemish Healing Makeup

With the shade 300 Naked, I have found a great match to my skin tone. I've been using this for a few months and I'm loving it. I've been working on trying to clear up my stubborn acne with help from my dermatologist. I'm on two topical creams, oral anti-biotics and birth control. (Hormones) I've noticed an extreme difference in my skin and I thank this foundation for not breaking me out! I have real oily skin with a mind of it's own and this foundation tames down my shine and oils, giving me that pretty, smooth look. I do follow application with pressed powder. I really like how Almay switched this product to a pump dispenser - it's so much more sanitary and convenient verus shaking a bottle and putting your finger in there. The foundation itself is very light and blendable. I normally go for medium coverage, I never end up looking cakey with this. The color is fresh and there is no chemical smell. I do tend to get some product build-up around dry areas, but I blame my derm routine for that. I would say that this helps with my breakouts, I haven't had any new ones since I've started on my medication and have been using this. This is just overall a great buy. I hate the idea of spending a lot of money for a department store brand when you can find something resonable in the drug store. Almay has won me as a devoted customer!
