This colour is from the Xmas 2009 collection - Holiday Wishes 2009 I have to say I was pleased with the whole Xmas collection from OPI this year. There were all sorts of colours and some stunning reds. This happens to be my fav red from the collection and makes a perfect Xmas mani or just a perfect Pedi for all seasons. This polish is just stunning. In the bottle it looks like an orange based jelly red packed full of gold glitter. This is a jelly but applies quite opaque for the first coat, was pleasantly surprised. You still require 2 coats and the finish is amazing… It is a hot fire engine red with a real sparkly bang to it. The glitter is fine but shows up amazingly on the nail and is eye blinding in the sun. You really need a top coat on this one to bring out the shine and the dazzle of the glitter The wear of this is pretty good, 4 days with no chips but some tip wear… awesome! Would I buy this one again…. Oh baby I am getting a back up this week!

Polishes -OPI - Visions of Sugarplum
rated 5 of 5
MICROMIN 12/7/2009 2:12:00 PM

This color is from the exclusive Christmas release from Ulta 2009. The other colors to this collection are Dreaming of red and Dazzled by gold. This is a lovely dark plumy purple packed full of purple and pinkish glitter throughout. In the bottle the glitter shows heavily and I am happy to report it looks the same on the nail too. The application of this one is lovely, the first coat was streaky (which is normal for dark colors) the second coat fixed up all the streaks. After adding a topcoat the polish just gleams purple sparkle… I could not stop looking at my nails. The polish was the perfect consistency not too runny or too gloopy. Wear on this polish was good… one nail slightly chipped after 4 days. To keep this polish gleaming its lovely sparkle you will need to re apply a topcoat at around 3 days otherwise it tends to dull down. I wish this one was not a limited edition its such a good color for the nails and toes! Love it!

Polishes -OPI - Festive Fuchsia
rated 5 of 5
MICROMIN 12/3/2009 7:30:00 PM

Trade secret Christmas exclusive for 2009. This polish totally reminds me of China Glaze Strawberry fields but a darker version. It is a lovely deep fuchsia with gold and fuchsia glitter throughout it. In the bottle the glitter looks highly noticeable. I bought this purely by seeing a bottle picture, it was so amazing to look at a fuchsia packed full of glitter….. OMG I was NOT disappointed when I put it on…. It is absolutely stunning!!!! The application of the polish is wonderful. Not too thick and not too thin. The first coat goes on well but a little streaky however the second coat fixes it all up. The final look on the nail is a lovely shimmer glossy fuchsia. I have to say the glitter doesn’t seem as apparent on the nail as it does in the bottle…. However I am still in love with this colour! The wear and tear of this polish is great. I went a whole week without a chip and the colour still looked lovely and glossy. Overall I love this colour, would I buy it again… you bet… I just bought a back up bottle!

Polishes -OPI - La Paz-itively Hot Matte
rated 1 of 5
MICROMIN 7/19/2009 8:22:00 PM

La Paz-itively Hot Matte isone of 6 colours that were released in the OPI Matte collection for 2009. I have been wanting to try a matte polish for a while and once I heard OPI were releasing a collection… I knew I had to try their colours. I was excited when I finally got this and tried it on immediately. I just adore this original colour from OPI, so I thought that this one would be another great version of the colour. By looking at the bottle side by side with the original it doesn’t seem to match up. This new one seems to be a little lighter. The application: The colour is lovely and it dried relatively quick, however don't be fooled when it turns matte..... you still need to wait for the polish to dry thoroughly…. Which seemed to take a while! Personally I did not like the way it applied. It applied streaky and uneven… even with a second coat it looked streaky and kinda lumpy. I didn't apply a base coat... as OPI suggest NO base coat. Wear: UM HORRIBLE! I have to tell you that the wear of this polish was hideous. I chipped the same day..... and when I say chipped a whole chunk came off my thumb and pinky. Utterly disgusted by the wear of this polish. Overall thoughts: I would not wear this one again, the lasting ability of this polish is just not good enough and chipping so quickly makes your nails look tacky… so buy again? No thank you

Polishes -OPI - ChicaGo Get A Manicure
rated 4 of 5
MICROMIN 5/29/2008 9:57:00 PM

ChicaGo Get a Manicure is from Fall/Winter 2005, OPI Chicago collection. Product code NL W43 “And be sure to ask for this deep mauve.” I bought this colour in summer but never felt like wearing it. Now that the weather is getting cooler I reached out to give this cool deep rose toned polish a try. This is a creamy polish and applies extremely well. I only used 2 coats to get the lovely creamy rose colour. I have to say tho this colour isn’t really a WOW colour, its classy and is non offensive but it is not a colour that people “talk” about. I have had this colour on for over a week now and NO chips. This polish has OUTSTANDING lasting abilities. I think this will be one of those colours I will tend to reach for in winter if I want something that’s simple and not out there. Would I buy this again. YES as I think this colour is a good for everyday wear

Polishes -OPI - Kinky in Helsinki
rated 5 of 5
MICROMIN 5/14/2008 10:08:00 PM

Kinky in Helsinki if from the European Collection for Fall/Winter 2002. This colour is a yummy Cool toned Fuchsia/Magenta looks exactly like it does in the bottle. It seems to have a very fine micro shimmer throughout the polish. As this is one of the old OPI colours it has the old formula which I just luuurve! The application of this polish was fantastic, it wasn’t streaky and after 2 coats it was looking perfect. The lasting quality was just as good I had this polish on for a week and only removed it as it was time to change colours. This polish is a little hard to get but totally worth searching for it. If I see another bottle at a good price I am going to grab it…. Its one u just don’t want to run out of anytime soon. I can see myself reaching for this colour all through winter! Its sooo yummy!

Polishes -OPI - Red Dazzle
rated 4 of 5
MICROMIN 5/13/2008 9:23:00 PM

OPI Red Dazzle was from the Rockettes Collection Limited Edition. Red Dazzle is a bright bright red with an orange/yellow base; it is full with fine gold glitter that makes the polish really have a punch. Its not one of those polishes that have glitter in it to give it a shimmer, this really goes with its name… the polish dazzles! The application of this polish was excellent it went on like a dream. I found 2 coats seemed to give a lovely constancy. I could only just see my nail tips, but that was fine with me as this polish is such a strong colour. I found the lasting ability of this polish excellent too. I have been lazy and just left this colour on for 2 weeks and it still looks decent. I am thrilled with this polish and if it were still around I would buy it again. It’s a perfect colour for the winter to brighten up those hands and feet

Polishes -OPI - Merry Merry
rated 2 of 5
MICROMIN 4/23/2008 7:07:00 PM

Merry Merry is an Ulta holiday Exclusive for 2007 When I saw this one I just HAD to have it, I haven't seen a magenta fuchsia like this one in a LONG time, so when I saw it I just had to grab it. In the bottle it looks really magenta with HEAPS of glitter, however when applied the glitter is not so predominant, you can still see it, but in no way does it look like a reflection of the bottle. I found that the polish needed 2 thick coats and could possibly done with 1 more coat to get its true colour. The polish has a lovely consistency and is not gloopy even for the amount of glitter it contains. I was VERY disappointed with its lasting ability. The first time I wore this polish it chipped the same day I applied it. I tried it again with a different top coat as I thought maybe it’s the top coat that’s the prob, but no :-( it chipped the second day. As for wearing it again… no I just cant stand polish that chips so quickly. Sorry guys a big thumbs down for this one

Polishes -OPI - Dating a Royal
rated 3 of 5
MICROMIN 4/23/2008 6:58:00 PM

This colour is from the 2008 OPI Brights Collection. I bought this as I thought it looked like a fun colour. The whole collection from 2008 bights are lovely and this one is my fav from the entire collection. I found the application was great but it took 3 coats to get the true colour which was disappointing… after 3 coats you could still slightly see the nail tip. I am disappointed with the consistency of this polish and I doubt I will be using it very often. I have to say the lasting quality of this one is excellent. I had it on my hands for over a week and it only needed a little dab of top coat to gloss it up again. I have given it 3 lips, The reason for this is its too transparent, for such a lovely colour I would expect the consistency to be better. I would not buy this one again sorry guys.

Polishes -OPI - Hip Hop Holly
rated 4 of 5
MICROMIN 4/7/2008 6:00:00 PM

This colour came from the ULTA Xmas 2007 range. I have to say it’s an amazing red. I was a little unsure when I saw the bottle as I though oh no not another copy of im not really a waitress… but I have to say this one is quite unique. It’s a very shimmery/metallic classy red but seems to have a magenta undertone. As the pervious review stated… its like the colour or a candy apple. The application of this polish was fantastic… like a dream. You really need the recommended 2 coats to get the desired effect. And a top coat to bring up the shine. I was however disappointed with the lasting ability of this polish… on the first day it chipped…. That was a sad day heheh. I have had it on now for a week and that tiny chip ruined my love for this colour. Would I buy it again… yes but I would restrict the wear for a special occasion or xmas due to the fact it seems chiptastic! Great colour tho!!!

Polishes -OPI - Plugged-In Plum
rated 3 of 5
MICROMIN 3/25/2008 10:22:00 PM

This is one of the colours I would say looks better in the bottle. In the bottle this colour looks like a hot purple with a hint of shimmer. However on the nail it seems to have more plum in it… so it looks more muted on the nails. Collection: from OPI's 2006 Brighter by the Dozen summer collection Application: I found it took 3 coats to get the desired look. Durability: lasted ages.. I had it on for over a week and only removed it to change colour. Didn’t seem to crack or chip, however as all polishes it needed a top up with top coat to bring back its shine. Final thoughts, I would buy this again, I got lots of compliments on this colour. I would not say this is a brights/hot colour so if that’s what ur after I wouldn’t go for this one. Would I buy it again…. Um maybe

Polishes -OPI - Hollywood and Wine
rated 4 of 5
MICROMIN 3/22/2008 10:37:00 PM

Will try and keep this simple for you. Colour: blackened deep red/burgundy creme, there is no shimmer and it reminds me of Lincoln park after dark without a purple base. It seems to have more of a brown case to it. Application: smooth and creamy, took 2 coats to get the full effect. Wear: Crap, this polish chipped after 1 day. I had to put another coat of polish on and another coat of top coat and now it is seeming to last, have had it on for 4 days now. Buy again: I would say yes because i loved the colour, however i would not look forward to the chiptastic experiance Expensive: yes because its discontinued and to get it... u have to pay big bucks for it... but the colour is worth it!

Polishes -OPI - My Throne For A Cranberry Scone
rated 5 of 5
MICROMIN 3/10/2008 8:42:00 PM

This Colour is from the OPI British collection and is sadly discontinued. This is a pinky blue based light plummy colour. It’s non-offensive and has a nice clean look to it. I have to say that I preferred it on my nails in winter when I was not so tanned. Application: This has the only application brush but went on really well. It only took 2 coats to get the true beauty of the colour. After I applied a topcoat this polish was just gleaming at me. I have had the polish on for 3 days now and still no dulling! I would however tend to go for this colour in autumn or winter... its not really a summer colour unless u wear it on your toes. Colour: This is a pinky blue based light plummy colour. It’s non-offensive and has a nice clean look to it. It just looks neat as a pink and is something you can wear in a corporate environment without offending people. Wear and tear: has now been on my nails for 5 days and NO chips!, the colour is starting to dull, but another bit of topcoat with bring out the shine again Overall I give it a 5 star rating, it has great lasting ability and is a colour that u could use often…. I normally reach out for this polish all through winter!… OPI keeps me warm heheh

Polishes -OPI - Koala Bear-y
rated 5 of 5
MICROMIN 2/24/2008 3:52:00 PM

Where is this polish from? Koala Bear-y (NL A46) is a creme polish that was released with OPI's Spring/Summer 2007 Australia collection. Other: This comes with the new PRO wide brush and contains no Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, or Formaldehyde Now down to the nitty gritty, This is a lovely creamy berry hot pink, no shimmer but is very glossy. I found this polish to have a really nice constancy and it only took 2 coats to get the desired effect of an opaque look. As I said previously it’s a lovely creamy pink, reminds me of OPI’s discontinued Grenada and bare it, however this seems to have a deeper red base to it. Wear and tear: Happy to say this has lasted me over a week and if I wasn’t such a nail polish freak and changed my colour all the time… I would say this would last another week. There was no signs of chipping at ALL .. the only thing is the polish seemed to look a little dull after 4 days. I have no idea why I have waited till 2008 to wear this polish, I should have gotten onto the bandwagon with this one as soon as it was released… it’s a awesome colour !!! Would I buy this one again YOU BET!!

Polishes -OPI - Keys to my Karma
rated 2 of 5
MICROMIN 2/19/2008 10:26:00 PM

This color is from the 2008 Indian Collection. This color looks fab in the bottle like a bright red with hot pink tone through it. However on the hands it looks red, It reminds me of a darker big apple red. I was disappointed with the following 1- Too sheer took 3 coats to get a dark enough effect (seems to we watery) 2- too chiptastic 3- looks dull after 1-2 days of wear and even topping it with a top coat after it goes dull doesn’t seem to help The application however was not thick and went on well, however I was not impressed with this colour and would not re buy it nor wear it, such a shame as it looked promising in the bottle. *Cries*
