Skincare - Body -Jason Natural Cosmetics - Vitamin E Oil 5000 IU
MES 5/14/2013 5:50:00 PM
I am a skin oil addict, I currently have three different oils specifically for my skin. I love the scent of this, it smells like sweet almonds, so yummy. It also has a nice viscosity, I had previously used a store brand vitamin e oil and it was too thick to be practical. I rub a few drops into my skin after a shower and i feel so soft. This is a pretty mild product and has not caused me to have an allergic reaction like mineral/baby oil does. Like most oils it is super versatile, and the price is great.

Blush -Tarte - Cheek Stain in Dollface
MES 4/2/2013 8:37:00 PM
I never met a Tarte Cheek Stain I didn't like. Dollface is one of three shades I own, and is also the lightest. It's a very light pink shade. I'm pretty fair, and Dollface is almost too light for me. I never thought I would say that about blush, because most blushes are just too bright or too dark for my skin. I occasionally layer a powder blush over this, but I have never had any issue with it not wearing well either way. I have noticed on super humid days this can migrate. Pricey, but justified because one stick will last the rest of my life, and cheek stains are one of only two blushes that I can actually wear.

Moisturizers -Boots - Facial Oil
MES 3/30/2013 11:14:00 PM
Oil? For your face? You betcha. Adverts have convinced at least two generations that oil is the enemy, and that oil causes acne. Harsh cleaners strip ones face and only make acne worse, and can causes those of us with dry skin to get irritated flaky skin. The right oils, like this one are good for your face. I have dry skin, when I get really dry and parched my face just sucks up any moisturizer I put on it, and its often a tough spell to break. This is a wonderful product, its made with natural botanicals and is organic. Made with Sweet Almond Oil, Argan, Oil, Rose Hips, and Bergamont. This feels like such a luxury product, even the bottle and applicator and nice. Surprise tough, it's super affordable, less than $10 at Target. I had over exfoliated and my skin got irritated and flaky. Nothing helped, until I picked up this. Prior to using this my skin was so dry I couldn;t even put on foundation. two or three days of applying this twice a day and I was back to my normal healthy skin. I love this product, and I love the price. A must try for those with dry skin

Lips -L'Oreal - Colour Riche Balm
MES 3/30/2013 12:36:00 AM
I bought this and Maybellines Baby Lips a few days apart, this was the later as I wasn't really in love with Baby Lips. Color payoff is better, but I feel like this has little to no moisterization properties. I still like the product, and continue to use it, but only as a semi-sheer lipstick. I also like the packaging on this better.

Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips in Peach Kiss
MES 3/30/2013 12:29:00 AM
Had this for months and never reviewed it because I tend to write reviews of things only if its a love or hate situation. It's not quite as moisturizing as a tradition stand alone lip balm. The color is very sherry and just gives an ever so slight tint to the lips. More of a nude shade, than a peach shade. I usually pair this with BB cream when I dont want to look made up. If you want more color, go for a sheer lippie, or you want more moisture go for an actual balm. This is a sufficient product, but not spectacular.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Whisper in Pin Up Peach
MES 3/28/2013 11:55:00 PM
Very nice peachy-soft orange shade. definitely very wearable, nice a sheer, but still has a good pop of color. I did find this to be a tad drying, and I had to reapply frequently. I've been in a lipstick rut for ages, either not wearing any, or sticking with nice safe pinks and mauve, or the occasional plum shade if i feel brazen. I'm pretty fair skinned, and I found this didn't over power me. I've tried several other orange, peach, and coral lipsticks, from mid end to drug store cheapies, and this is the first one I have found that I liked.

Gels/Soaps -Eucerin - Calming Body Wash Daily Shower Oil
MES 3/27/2013 12:06:00 AM
Another one of my HG products that I simply can not live without in the winter. I have very dry, eczema prone skin I swore off bar soap all together years ago, but even some body washes can be drying. This is a great product for people with allergies and sensitive skin. It cleans and moisturizes in one step, better than Dove, Purpose, or Nuetorgena. There is no added scent, but it definitely has a scent of its own. It's no strong though. I used this when I shave my legs, and on occasion as a face wash. It can be tricky t find in stores as its not with the other body washes, but usually by the Eucerin lotion.

Scrubs -Tree Hut - Almond & Honey Scrub
MES 3/26/2013 11:59:00 PM
Love this, the scent is intoxicating. I have tried all the other Tree Hut Scrubs and this is by far my favorite. Nice sweet almond scent, reminiscent of amaretto. Pretty coarse and gritty, I would never dream of using this on my face, but make a great exfoliant for everything from the shoulders down. Scrub down with this, rinse off, dry, and moisturizer, then prepare to be amazed.

BB Cream -Urban Decay - Naked Skin Beauty Balm
MES 3/24/2013 10:46:00 PM
Not sure what exactly this is supposed to be. Definitely not a foundation as the instruction directed to apply under foundation. Can't really say it's a BB cream either, there's one yep one shade and one shade only. I suppose that may be fine since this provide zero coverage at all. I'm used to BB's covering a little but this crap is pointless. Maybe it's a primer, or at least thats what I used it as since it seems to be intended to apply under foundation, though the description on the package makes it also sound like a moisturizer or anti age cream. It's felt really weird and dry when I applied it to my face, almost chalky. Te scent was unpleasant as well. After the success of the Naked Palette UD seems to feel the need to slap the Naked label on anything and thinks it will sell. Total garbage, if I could give zero lippies I would. Don't waste your money on this.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Sin
MES 3/23/2013 6:30:00 PM
Another product that I have been lusting after forever, and finally decided to buy. I've used the original before, but was really drawn to this because it's pigmentation. I feel like my eyelids are a weird color, and I feel like this gives me an extra layer of coverage. I several shadows in this color family of taupe and champagne, and this is the perfect base for those. I also like that the color allows me to see where and how much primer I have on. I'm loving the squeeze tube as well. Always hated the doe foot applicator, just seemed unsanitary and wasteful. Being a liquid/cream in a tube also mean this product wont dry out like potted primers. Last by not least my pretty shimmery shadow looks just as good after 10 hours as it did when I applied in the morning. UDPP in Sin is an all around winner.

Lotions/ Creams -Nivea - Essentially Enriched Daily Lotion for Very Dry, Rough Skin
MES 3/23/2013 1:18:00 AM
I have skin that is naturally dry and I am prone to eczema in the winter months. Regular lotion just wont do it. I had a derm recommended Eucerin, but i found that it made my eczema worse. This has a similar formulation and consistency, though not quite has greasy. It does a wonderful job of moisturizing my skin, and keeping is moisturized. I'm not a huge fan of the scent, but am willing to overlook that because it does a great job on my skin.

Skincare - Body -Earth Therapeutics - Reflexology Foot massage Cream
MES 3/23/2013 1:09:00 AM
The scent is predominately mint, whatever lavender may be in this is totally overpowered by the mint and tea tree oil. It's a bit thin, and does a so-so job of moisturizing. Definitely give feet a nice cool tingle. My current bottle has lasted me several months, so it's worth the $8 or so I paid for it.

Skincare - Face -Soap and Glory - Face Soap & Clarity 3-in-1 Daily Facial Wash
MES 3/22/2013 11:56:00 PM
Also received this as a sample from Sephora. I love the scent, and while those few little beads may not look like they would do much to exfoliate, all I say is wow. This left my skin super soft. Being an exfoliate I would alternate this to every other day with my regular cleanser. It is a bit pricey, I believe the 3oz tube is like $20. Make sure to steer clear of your lips when using this. while it's gentle enough for the face I got a little wild while washing my face and ended up with a partially chapped upper lip.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Barely Branded Color Tattoo
MES 3/18/2013 3:37:00 PM
I had spotted the new color tattoo metallic shades at my local store, and this one really caught my eye for being the most neutral, wearable shade. This is a very versatile product, it makes a great highlighter, all over shadow, and primer for light to medium skin tones. It's very soft, creamy, blendable, and buildable. I have two other color tattoo shades and the consistency varies wildly by shade. These are super cheap, and comparable to similar mid end brands.

Gels/Soaps -Dr. Bronner's - lavender castile bar soap
MES 3/8/2013 5:19:00 PM
I love the smell of lavender and the scent was the main reason I purchased this soap. There are plenty of products that claim to smell like lavender but don't. It's costs more than typical mass market bar soap but it's a better made, all natural product. I found this a tad drying on my body, and super drying on my face, but I need all the moisture I can get. This would be great for someone with oily or acne prone skin. I also used this to wash my brushes and it did a wonderful job. I've had a difficult time finding a product that will not only remove the dirt and oils from from my skin on the brushes, but the pigments for the make up as well.
