Treatments -Alpha Hydrox - Retinol Night ResQ
rated 5 of 5

I use this in tandem with AHA Souffle and I love it. My skin has this glow to it that no other product EVER produced, no matter what I paid for it. On my fourth tube and will continue to purchase, I save money on fancy night creams because just a basic one over this will do the trick. My skin is doing quite well with this program I put it on, so why change. Unless some miracle product comes along that makes me look younger than my 32 year old daughter, I plan on staying with this cream!

Treatments -Alpha Hydrox - AHA Souffle 12 percent Glycolic AHA

Well reaching a milestone birthday in Feb,(60-how did THAT happen!) I decieded that I had to find something that would work and never mind the hype, fancy packaging and above all, ridiculous prices. I found this dandy little cream by reading what Paula Begoun had to say about it in her news letter. Sooo, 3 jars later and I am loving it. It works, just as simple as that. My skin is really good for my age and I want to keep it that way till I'm way too old to care. It may sting alittle bit sometimes, depends on how hard I scrubbed. The smoothness is nothing I have experienced with any fancier creams and you can use it daily if your skin isn't too sensitive. My skin responds to it very well, I use it at night with a basic night cream over it. Keep away from the eyes, they mean it when they say that. I thought I would try just a dab, boy was I ever sorry. I had a week of flaky skin to contend with and using eye cream a couple times a day to relieve it. I alternate it with the Night ResQ and I couldn't be more pleased. The Neoteric website is always having specials of somesort so you can save money too.

Treatments (Eye) -Olay - Regenerist Eye Derma-Pod
rated 1 of 5
MARY48 8/21/2008 2:45:00 PM

This is supposed to do what??? I have used it numerous times and not noticed an iota of difference. I am just $28.00 poorer and feeling very let down by the "promise" of more youthful looking under eyes and dark circles banished...yadda, yadda, yadda. Another do nothing product by Olay. I will use the scratchy little so &so's up and will not be repurchasing to be sure!

Cleansers -St. Ives - Olive Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
MARY48 4/12/2008 6:10:00 PM

I have been using this as my morning cleanser for about 10 days now. I love it. My dry skin is very happy with this cleanser. Leaves my skin feeling clean and soft, not at all dry and tight. The price is great, the packaging is simple, and I will be repurchasing to be sure.

Cleansers -Dove - Dove Pro Age Foaming Facial Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
MARY48 4/12/2008 6:03:00 PM

I have been using this since Jan of this year. I am very happy with it. Cleanses well, and doesn't leave my dry skin stripped. Foams up nicely and rinses clean. I use it at night to prep my skin for the night treatments. Hasn't disappointed yet. Big generous tube for the price( paid $6.99 at Wal Mart) and I love the smell.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - insta-brite nail whitener
rated 4 of 5
MARY48 4/12/2008 5:57:00 PM

I tried this because of the price. ProStrong makes a brightener too, and it's pretty expensive as all their products are. This doesn't make your nails pink, in fact there is no color at all. I tried it with regular polish and with my HG Age Correct Nail Treatment, both times it made my nails look more "finished" in appearance. It does diminish the yellowish cast, if you wear pale colors the sun is what discolors the nails. This does the trick, as opposed to using Bubble White which just about killed my nails, very, very harsh stuff. In short, it's nothing miraculous but not anything harmful either.

Lip Treatments -Sally Hansen - peptide lip line treatment
rated 5 of 5
MARY48 4/12/2008 5:47:00 PM

A neat little product, seems to be helping too. I noticed there is a reduction in those little lines around my lip line, makes lips smoother too in preparation for lip color. Alittle goes a long way, I like the pump bottle and I will be repurchasing again. Also it doesn't seem to fight with any other product, for example if I want to apply a lip plumper over it, it just is compatible with everything I have treated. I am getting more and more impressed with Sally Hansen as I try the new products that I see coming almost weekly at my supermarket.

Lipstick -Revlon - Color Stay Sheer lipcolor
rated 5 of 5
MARY48 4/12/2008 3:02:00 PM

I bought this in Sheer Blossom, the color is really pretty. Shiny, but not overly glossy. Nice neutral color, not too warm or orangy. I thought I couldn't wear this because of m "winter" coloring but this is really a nice natural looking color. The packaging however is really tacky, cheap. They could have come up with a nicer tube. Otherwise it's a nice line of lipcolor from Revlon.

Mascara -Revlon - 3D Extreme Mascara - Blackest Black
rated 1 of 5
MARY48 4/12/2008 2:57:00 PM

I was so disappointed in this mascara. I usually love Revlon mascara, and have been using different formulas over the years. I guess I was dazzled by the beautiful expensive looking tube. Well that's where it ends. It's clumpy and a general mess. This must be my year for discovering craptacular mascaras. First the L'Oreal one that was a total let down, now this one. I have tried to wipe the brush first, but this doesn't help that much. I will not be repurchasing this, the price isn't bad, but if you consider the waste of throwing out a nearly new tube, it's pretty much a waste of money, should have gotten a refund!

Treatments (Eye) -Olay - Definity Eye Illuminator
rated 2 of 5
MARY48 4/11/2008 12:41:00 AM

I agree with the reviewer who said this product balled up when applying under eye concealer. I hate that! You have to hurry and do some damage control and before you know it, you have to start over. This is supposed to get rid of dark circles, does ANYTHING work? I don't see a difference UNDER the eye, but the brow bone is certainly lighter. Proof it works, just not in the right place. I feel like it does tighten the area slightly. I don't see any miracles, not really sure if I will purchase again. Don't get me started on the pretentious, absurdly wasteful packaging.

Moisturizers -Olay - Definity Deep Nourishing Anti-Aging Night Cream
rated 2 of 5
MARY48 4/11/2008 12:27:00 AM

I wanted to like this product since it was supposedly suited to my age. Well, little mica sparklies do not make a good night cream. After nearly 6 weeks, I cannot tell that anything is different. I have really good skin for my age to begin with, very few lines and tiny wrinkles visible in a magnafying mirror. But you want something that is still going to improve things, right? I will use it up and won't purchase again. The packaging drove me mad, just way too much of it. How wasteful, a simple box with a cellophane window would have been better. This was waaay over the top. Nothing could be recyled either. Still searching for that magic elixer night cream, I will in the meantime go back to my Alpha Hydrox night routine.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Telescopic
rated 1 of 5
MARY48 1/17/2008 2:02:00 PM

This mascara is not what I expected it to be, and that's being kind. The brush is just plain lousy. You put on the mascara and it's a gloppy mess. You really have to work with your little Lashcomb tool to make it look descent. There is no volume, just these long spiky lashes. Ugh, just like a cheap dollar store doll! I am very disappointed in this mascara, won't be purchasing again, and doubt that I will finish using it. It shouldn't be this much work to have your lashes look good. L'Oreal bombed with this one.

Mascara -E.L.F. - Wet Gloss Lash and Brow Clear Mascara
rated 4 of 5
MARY48 7/15/2007 5:16:00 PM

It's a brow tamer and nothing more, does the trick for just a buck, and that's all I wanted it to do. I will be purchasing again, at this price, oh yeah!

Mascara -E.L.F. - Earth and Water Mascara Duo
rated 1 of 5
MARY48 7/15/2007 5:12:00 PM

I never liked paying too much for mascara, as one of the reviewers said, it's pretty much all the same, except for the brush. However there is a problem with going too cheap. I have been buying Revlon mascaras and then Rimmel ones for years and liking them quite well. So when the chance arose to buy this one, I thought "why not". Ugh! What a crappy mascara this turned out to be. Nothing like having it flake and smear after a couple of hours, and really not enhancing your lashes. Mine are already long and black, so I really need something that will curl and thicken. And not flake off! No I will not be repurchasing this one from ELF although I like the other dandy little products I have purchased.

Foundations -L'Oreal - Age Perfect Skin Supporting Hydrating Light Ivory 703
rated 1 of 5
MARY48 1/28/2007 4:20:00 PM

Well I hate to throw a spanner in the works here, but I did not like this foundation one bit. I wanted to, I really did. The 2 times I tried it, I just couldn't blend it in. I have skin that is on the dry side so blending was a chore. My skin is really good for my age (late 50's) little lines and no deep wrinkles. But this make up seems to magnify the flaws instead of what L'Oreal promised. One the postive side, when I called the company to express my disappointment the rep was very nice and offered me some gift certificates for the value of the make-up. I paid nearly $20! Also she recommended Visible Lift Line Minimizing Makeup for my skin type. I was impressed with the help I got and will try this other make up. In the meantime, I may put my jar of Age Perfect up for swap. It's Light Ivory So while I would not buy this again, I will stay with the favorites I have by L'Oreal. They do know how to treat their customers.
