Eye Shadow -NARS - Sugarland Duo

I really like this palette mainly because of the apricot colour. I love the small specks of glitter & usually layer this colour on top of a deeper bronze shadow to add more texture/light. I honestly wish they sold this colour separately & not just in a duo. I also don't mind the lavender pink side, it has a smooth texture & like all NARS shadows is very pigmented.

Lipstick -Tom Ford - Private Blend in True Coral

This colour is absolutely beautiful, "True Coral" is a bright rich red-coral colour & really compliments my NC40 tanned skin - I also think it could look just as lovely on any other skin tone. I love the creamy texture of this lipstick & because of this its not a hard colour to apply. I like to pair this lipstick with a shimmery bronze-gold shadow... perfect & wearable for both day/night. Its quite pricey but I'd say definitely worth the splurge!

Liquid -MAC - Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15
rated 3 of 5

I have combination-oily skin & have been wearing this foundation for 4 years now (I've been too lazy to explore new products) but I'm officially done with this! I've always worn this foundation with a primer underneath & then set it with powder but even so, I find myself blotting throughout the day. PROS: - Buildable full coverage foundation: you don't need to use any concealer, if you don't have really dark blemishes or under eye circles to conceal - Easy to blend - Non comedogenic (won't break you out) CONS: - Not long wearing at all: on oily skin, this will last around 2-3 hrs until it looks obviously greasy & you have to start blotting then re-powdering - Feels quite heavy on your face - Horrible in summer for combination-oily skin as it will "sweat" or "melt" off throughout the day no matter how many times you blot & re-powder - Will oxidise with oily skin & appear more orangey *For those who have normal skin, this might be the perfect foundation but you ..but for my fellow combination-oilies, don't waste your time or money & STAY AWAY!

Makeup Brushes -Sigma - F80 Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki (was SS197)
rated 5 of 5

Love love love this brush! I've been wanting to buy the F80 for months since I was continuously getting that streaky foundation look from my MAC 190. This brush is seriously AMAZING! I take half the time to get ready now that I use it to apply my foundation... you use less product (depending on how much coverage you want) as it blends in liquid foundation so well and evenly onto your face, giving you that flawless finish. It's really a great investment & it's not as pricey as MAC brushes. So if you don't already own it, you're missing out! The only thing I regret about this brush is not buying it sooner.

Primer/ Corrector -Laura Mercier - Foundation Primer Oil -Free
rated 4 of 5

I've been looking for a new primer for some time and I got this one in the 14.7ml sample, almost 4-5months ago and I still haven't finished it! I wear foundation every day/second day but with this primer you only need to use the smallest amount, probably a pea size or less - a little goes a long way! I would recommend this primer over the MAC prep + prime primer any day. I have normal-oily skin and although the MAC primer feels a lot smoother and nicer to put on your face, the Laura Mercier one actually leaves you with a matte and flawless looking face for much longer. It also does not break me out which is a bonus! I will definitely be purchasing the full sized primer soon.

Liquid -Maybelline - SuperStay Makeup - New Version
rated 2 of 5
MAC92 6/14/2011 8:24:00 AM

I purchased this foundation after the extensive advertising about on its micro-flex formula, only to realise that after a few months it'd become another disappointment. The foundation promises to be "Resisting: heat, humidity, sweat, dryness, motion, touch and life." staying flawless up to a total of 24 hours. Well I can tell you now that this product pretty much does none of that. I applied this product using a MAC 190 foundation brush and at times with my fingers. At first I was very impressed with this product, it appeared to have a matte finish without layering any powder on top. I like my foundation to appear matte and after a few weeks I noticed that 3 hrs into wearing it my t-zone became very oily and my cheeks appeared to be shiny. This may of just occurred because of my skin type but no matter how many times I blotted or repowdered my face, it would become oily once again. I chose "True Beige" as it seem to match my skin tone when first applied but after a few hrs, the colour would then become a more orange/red tint - being a golden undertone, this just made my make up look very unnatural as there was an obvious difference in the colour of my face and neck but this could of just been caused by the fact I may have chosen the wrong tint. In my opinion, the 24hr Super Stay foundation does not take heat or humidity very well. I felt as if I had to constantly avoid overexposure from the sun or the foundation would become oily and melt off. I wore this foundation during the summer holidays and after a long night out, I became too tired to remove my make up (I know, it's the worst thing I could of done for my face) and woke up to a pillow that was once perfectly white but had now been smeared with orange like make up - fyi. I was not wearing any sort of bronzer! So overall, I don't suggest this foundation for anyone and especially not ppl with combination - oily skin types.

Powder -MAC - Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation
rated 3 of 5
MAC92 5/30/2011 6:53:00 AM

I first purchased this product 3 years ago and have been continually using it since. I apply the Studio Fix Powder + Foundation on top of my foundation with a kabuki brush, it then gives me a matte finish and that complete full coverage I desire. This powder is versatile and can even be worn alone as a foundation for those who want a sheer-medium coverage. The texture is smooth and light weight but it can appear a little cakey if you re-apply more than 2 or 3 times throughout the day. The product claims to be long wearing and last up to 8 hrs, however I find that after 3-4 hrs my t-zone begins to get oily again - even when i'm wearing a foundation primer underneath. I think it would look great on most skin types and particularly those who have normal skin and I would definitely recommend the Studio Fix Powder + Foundation as i'm generally satisfied with the quality of it compared to other products i've used in the past.
