Treatments (Eye) -Yes To Carrots - Eye Can C Clearly Now Eye Contour Cream
Lynnma 3/18/2008 10:56:00 PM
Really excellent for a drugstore brand--luxurious and rich. Makes my skin smooth and glowy. Also got the day cream and body butter. All are incredibly moisturizing without making you greasy. I love the scent, but I guess some are bothered by it. Have already repurchased all three.

Lips -Burt's Bees - Lip Shimmer - Coffee
Lynnma 4/4/2007 9:39:00 PM
I am now on my third tube of this stuff. A gorgeous brick with very subtle dark pink shimmer that makes lips very lush. Goes on easily and is never overpowering in color--but don't expect a see-through sheer wash of color even though it's marketed as a lipbalm. Nicely pigmented and wears off beautifully. I think this is a must have for fair toned skin.

Sunscreen -Coppertone - Ultra Sheer Faces with Pro-Retinol SPF 30
Lynnma 8/6/2006 9:51:00 PM
I can't believe the bad reviews on this product! This is the BEST sunblock I have ever tried--it has antioxidants, retinol, and high SPF. Good sized bottle too for the price. I have never experienced any staining that other reviewers complain about. I've always felt a greasy face was a necessary evil of heavy duty sunblock (hell, I'd rather be greasy than wrinkled from the sun), but once this stuff absorbs, it feels like high end skincare & not greasy AT ALL. Love this stuff and I hope they never discontinue it.

Primer/ Corrector -Smashbox - Photo Finish Primer
Lynnma 5/14/2006 11:17:00 AM
This is hands down the best stuff if you find that your skin has lost its ability to "hang on" to makeup. I, too, used to belong to the belief that makeup primers were an extra, useless step. Then I turned 29! Let me repeat, if your skin is young enough to not need a primer, then don't use one! You don't need it, it won't do a thing for you and you will just end up giving it a bad review. This stuff makes foundation go on smoothly, fills in fine lines around the eye & mouth, and doesn't feel any heavier than moisturizer. The real reason I use this stuff is when I look in the mirror at 9pm and all my makeup, blush, & concealer is still on. It makes touch-ups unnecessary. It's so expensive, but very worth it.

Self Tanners -Neutrogena - MicroMist Tanning (Medium 2 shades darker)
Lynnma 4/23/2006 10:42:00 PM
I really like this stuff, but I won't be repurchasing it. Yes, you do have to rub it in to avoid streaks, but if you want a totally hands-free tan, get it professionally done. I have been using this for over a week and I haven't turned orange or streaky. I like that I can do my back no problem and that it seems to last longer than other self-tanners. If you're darker skinned or medium complexion to begin with, I think you should get Dark MicroMist and not Medium. However, I won't be repurchasing this since the mist is so micro it's very easy to breathe in and I'm sure it's not doing anything good for my lungs. I would recommend you spray it with the windows open and I wouldn't recommend using it if you have asthma or if you smoke.

Eye Shadow -Neutrogena - Mineral Sheers for Eyes-ALL
Lynnma 4/17/2006 10:01:00 PM
Love this shadow! Shimmery, super easy to blend, natural, neutral & flattering. I've been searching for a shadow of this color and consistency for years and have been let down by MAC, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, and BE. I love the sliding compact--no more chipping manicures trying to pry open eyeshadow. I wouldn't recommend it if you're in the market for bold or notice-me shadow, but if you like a nude, not overdone eye, this is it.

Treatments -John Frieda - Luminous Color Glaze
Lynnma 3/29/2006 10:23:00 PM
I've always wanted a salon glossing, but I'm way too cheap. I bought this instead thinking it would be a good substitute. It makes my hair quite oily at the roots, as if I hadn't even washed it (I have oily hair to begin with, so I skip the conditioner step of the directions). I haven't noticed any change in hair color after a week and a half (I do not color or highlight my hair). Imparts very high shine, which is nice, so I would probably recommend this to someone with dry hair. Guess if I want salon results, I'll just have to pony up the money! I will use the remainder of the bottle, but I will not be buying more.

Bath Treatments -Earthen Treasures - Dry Oil MIst
Lynnma 2/12/2006 12:27:00 PM
I got a sample of the Pink Sugar dry oil from a swap and was thrilled. I receive compliments on it everytime I wear it and I think it smells better than the real thing. I placed an order and got 4 dry oils (Beach, Pure Grace, Matin Calin, Beach Baby). All are amazing and the "dupes" are exact! Fast shipping, inexpensive, great service, LASTING scents (for anyone who's had the real Matin Calin, you know it lasts about 15 minutes--for $45 a bottle!), and the dry oil dries fast, which I love. I plan on ordering a lot more from Barbara & Earthen Treasures and giving it as gifts! Keep up the good work! In my opinion, I think the previous review was written by a competitor!

Treatments (Eye) -Philosophy - Hope in a Tube - High Density Eye and Lip Firming Cream
Lynnma 8/27/2005 10:50:00 PM
Simply the best eye cream. Rich, but not clogging. Very emoillient. Firms very nicely. I have found that it erased any slight wrinkles or crow's feet around my eyes perfectly (to be honest, I've used SPF 50 everyday for 5 years, so my eyes aren't really a problem area. Sunsceen is the world's best anti-wrinkle cream!!) I love all philosophy face products, but hope in a tube is really the best.

Lip Gloss -Rimmel - Volume Boost Liquid Lipcolour
Lynnma 8/27/2005 10:33:00 PM
This stuff is really nice. I didn't notice much of a "tingle," but I think that the light reflecting particles have more to do with the volume plumping. I purchased Bossy, which is a great dark strawberry pink. It looked darker in the tube, but when does the color in the package end up being the same color when its on your face? Color is very long lasting. Comes with a brush applicator, which I am never a fan of, I personally prefer a sponge tip. Since I have purchased it, I have been choosing it over all my other glosses (NARS, Sue Devitt, MAC, juicy tubes, some serious competition). I will absolutely repurchase.

Eyeliner -Sue Devitt - Gold Reef
Lynnma 7/26/2005 11:38:00 PM
Gorgeous color. Looks stunning on the outer corners of lids, but it's such a fat pencil that I can't get at inner corners--it makes me look like it's the first time I've used eyeliner! At first I felt it flaked a lot, but then realized it was my cheap mascara. I find myself using this pencil everyday. Great for when you want to look like you have gorgeous eyes, but not wear a ton of stuff (very work appropriate).

Mascara -Maybelline - Unstoppable Mascara [DISCONTINUED]
Lynnma 7/26/2005 11:30:00 PM
Not the worst mascara, but not very good either. Lashes stuck together and became very spikey and spidery. Very light formula as well--the first coat doesn't look like I've put anything on (it gets spikey with additional coats). I suppose one coat would be nice if you're wanting a natural, no-makeup look. The lengthening fibers really didn't do anything for me. But it doesn't smudge, just like they say.
