Lipstick -MAC - Brick-O-La

This is a stunning lip colour. Rich and highly pigmented yet creamy so gives a soft sheen look to the lips as opposed to a flat matt look which looks too drying. A really beautiful colour for Autumn and Winter, which adds warmth to the complexion. One of my favourites and I probably have 50 MAC lip shades!

Brows -Estee Lauder - Brow Setting Gel in Clear
LuluFaye 10/11/2011 6:39:00 AM
I am not keen on this. Don't take too much care as it can dry quickly leaving brows looking odd with an opaque, dubious looking substance on them! (think "There's something about Mary"...) Furthermore it dries hard which is uncomfortable for those of us who remain unbotoxed! Also, if you wipe fingers or hands over brows they feel like straw. Not for me at all, though fine if just for a dinner date. Sorry! :-(

Concealers -MAC - Studio Sculpt [DISCONTINUED]
LuluFaye 10/11/2011 6:05:00 AM
I love this concealer. It brightens eyes without leaving obvious creases and lasts all day assuming there are no tears! It is thick without being too cakey and suits my skin perfectly. My daughters also have pots and love it. Personally I apply with my fingertips rather than a brush (always ring fingers), for speed more than anything, which makes it awkward with fingernails getting in the way! That said, this is not a deterrent from me repurchasing when I need to and simply means I'll have to allow an extra couple of minutes to use a concealer brush! Good price too as a little goes a long way and the pot will outlast probably 5 clinique pen concealers. Great product, best concealer I've found.

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose Drama
LuluFaye 7/18/2011 10:16:00 AM
Oh Wow! I love love LOVE this mascara! Having previously used the Hypnose, with the Lancome lady herself saying some customers found the Drama brush tricky, upon replacing my Hypnose a few days ago I found myself biting the bullet and purchasing the Drama! And boy, I am so glad I did. My lashes are very fine, and okay, I cheat with Estee Lauder primer as a base coat, as I have to do with ALL mascaras to get the look I like, but this stuff is the cherry on the cake! At last, beautiful curled intense lashes. I can build with it, but probably best to be quick about it to avoid the clumping some reviewers have experienced! I love the brush too and its shape means that even the outer corners get coated and pulled out to widen the eye. This is a miracle mascara for my eyes! Brilliant!

Liquid -MAC - Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15
LuluFaye 7/18/2011 10:04:00 AM
I love this foundation. Okay, it's not the sweetest smelling stuff by any means, but once dry its fine, and you do get used to the somewhat paint-like smell. I have just finished my first bottle and am off to Selfridges tonight to replace it. I use NC20 in the liquid form, or NC25 in the powder compact. Personally I find the liquid is a tad darker than the compacts so I need to go down a shade. Smell aside, this stuff really does its job, I end up with a flawless complexion which blends with my neck perfectly and although matt, it retains a beautiful luminescence on my skin. I use two pumps for my face - pumps can be purchased for about £2 - and I apply with my fingers immediately after using Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. The effect is fantastic, a beautiful canvas for my makeup. Lasts a long time too, though I do find by the end of the day/evening I need to use my studio fix compact if I want to remain "flawless". I have had no problems with breakouts at all and love the good coverage this gives. My Mum used to complain the Studio Fix compact ended up looking 'cakey' but she really likes the liquid foundation on me. If its good enough for my Mum then its good enough, end of!
