Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Best Bath Store Acne Treatment Gel

I really wanted this to work for me, but it sadly didn't. I have moderate acne on my chin and forehead--most of the pimples are white heads, and I occasionally get one of those deep, hard pimples. I used this in conjunction with the acne bar and a toner sold from BBS, but this whole system only made my skin worse. First, the packaging is pretty good. It comes in a bottle with a lid you click open. However, make sure you slowly pour the product into your hand--the formula is quite thin and runny, so sometimes I poured way too much out. Secondly, the formula is light, smells nice (maybe a little medicinal), and it sinks into skin quickly. However, it is quite sticky, and I felt like it left a shiny film on my face for awhile after applying it. Before buying this, I had heard that this cleared up acne amazingly. Unfortunately, I had no luck with this--it did not even clear up one of my pimples. In fact, I feel like I broke out worse while using this. In my opinion, I feel like this product didn't work on me since I've been using high-end or prescription acne products with lots of ingredients and acne fighting chemicals. So, when I stopped using those and opted for natural BBS products, my skin flared up because it had become so accustomed to being treated with chemicals (which have always worked way better for me). After trying this, I moved onto the Peter Thomas Roth line and used glycolic face wash and treatment gel, and my skin has responded way better. On a positive note, I felt like my skin that doesn't break out (my cheeks and nose) looked very radiant and healthy. Also, this didn't dry out my face. Bottom line, I'd suggest this to somebody with minor acne or clear acne-prone skin, but I'd skip it if you have moderate to severe acne and/or have used skincare with chemicals for many years.

Powders -Guerlain - Meteorites powder for the face in Mythic 01
rated 1 of 5
LukkiChrm 2/2/2009 7:09:00 PM

I was so disappointed in the Mythic shade of meteorites. For a high price tag I wanted the product to pay off as a fabulous hilighter, but I saw not difference at all. I swirled my bursh around in the product, and I clearly saw the product on the brush. However, when I applied it to my face there was no difference. I have the Holiday 07 meteorites that resemble Beige Chic except they are smaller balls with more pigment--I can see a difference with those. For reference, I am an NC35, so maybe only pailer girls should try the Mythic shade, while tanner girls should try the beige or pink shade. I am very sad this didn't work because it has beautiful and secure packaging, and the balls are absolutely gorgeous. However, I could have done without the overwhelming scent. Overall, I would not purchase the Mythic shade again.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Red Shine Glossimer
rated 4 of 5
LukkiChrm 1/15/2009 9:57:00 AM

Red Shine was part of Chanel's 2008 Holiday collection, which is fitting since I would describe this color as the perfect bright Christmas red with some obvious silver shimmer to it. The color is not sheer--I use one coat to achieve my desired color. The glitter is definitely obvious and you can feel it when you apply, but it definitely does not look tacky. I think that this color would look amazing on most ladies (both cool and warm toned), and I can see this being my staple for Christmas parties. This is a definate repurchase for me!

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Magnifique Glossimer 83
rated 5 of 5
LukkiChrm 1/15/2009 9:48:00 AM

This is an absolutely gorgeous color. At first, I was nervous this color would be too cool for me, but It is a bright cool pink color with some gold shimmer in it, so I can see this color on both a warm toned or cool toned person. In fact, I often use this color to warm up colors that wash me out. The color shows up on the first application, but as a very sheer color, but you can keep layering it to get a more opaque look. I agree with the reviewer below, it can look innocent or polished. The texture is classic glossimer formula (hydrating and smooth), and it has no metallic finish to it like some do. The shimmer is noticeable, but it is no obvious nor does it feel gritty. I would definitely repurchase this color.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Spark Glossimer
rated 5 of 5
LukkiChrm 1/7/2009 8:25:00 PM

I love Spark so much--it is definitely one of my favorite glossimers. The color is mild, red berry to goes on smoothly with a good amount of color. It has low key gold sparkles, and it does not have the metallic finish that some glossimers like Volage has. The color is simple enough to be pulled of during the day, but it can also be layered to give a more dramatic effect. I'm an NC35, and paired with some bronzer and some mascara, it is the perfect classy and low maintenance look. The consistency of this glossimer is spectacular--it is smooth while still having glitter in it. It has the same texture as Giggle, not the rough glitter texture of Pin-Up. Overall, I urge every warm toned person to try Spark, and I will definitely repurchase.

Misc Beauty Tools -MAC - Full lash curler
rated 5 of 5
LukkiChrm 7/12/2008 9:31:00 PM

This is my HG eyelash curler. MAC claims that it gives a natural, rounded curl to lashes in an easy squeeze and release motion, and I believe it lives up to that claim. The curler opens wide and grabs every lash to give me the perfect curl in just one or two squeezes. I have never pinched myself with this curler, unlike the Shu and cheaper drugstore curlers. The product comes with an extra strip to use when the original wears out. I probably repurchase this product three times a year, which I have no problems with since the product is only $15.00. The last time I bought this product, it came in a basic MAC boox, but now it seems to come enclosed in a flat plastic box, which isn't a big deal, but I did like it better in the box because it took up less room. The reason I prefer this curler over the Shu is because it doesn't pinch, opens wide (In my opinion, MAC is better for bigger, rounder eyes and Shu is better for almond shaped eyes), and is less money. Will have no issue buying again and again!

Mascara -Guerlain - Le 2 de Guerlain
rated 3 of 5
LukkiChrm 3/25/2008 2:39:00 PM

I'm not sure if I just got a bad tube of this, but this mascara is such a pain. The long side's formula was clumpy, so I have to apply it after I wipe off all the excess formula off the wand. I do adore the smaller side, especially if you only that side on all your lashes. When only using that side, I get amazingly long lashes, so if you don't want thickness, it's great. But when using both, it takes me a long time to avoid the clumpy effect. However, when I take my time, wipe off long brush, and avoid clumping, I do get incredible lashes. But, nothing my trusty DiorShow cannot give me in half the time. Plus, the mascara is so long due to two tubes that it is a challenge to fit in my makeup bag.

Moisturizers -Shiseido - Pureness Moisturizing Gel-Cream
rated 5 of 5
LukkiChrm 3/24/2008 10:19:00 PM

I think that this moisturizer is perfect for oily/acne prone skin that occasionally gets some dry spots. It is so light, but it still has no problem getting rid of those stubborn flakes and dry spots. The gel consistency guarentees that it absorbs quickly, and best of all, it leave no sheen/greasy risidue. I cannot rave enough about the Pureness line's cleanser and toner as well--when I use these three product together, my skin never looks better!

Toners -Shiseido - Pureness Balancing Softener alcohol-free
rated 5 of 5
LukkiChrm 3/24/2008 10:15:00 PM

Another winner from Shiseido's Pureness line. This toner is so gentle on my skin, which has been dry, oily, sunburnt, irritated, etc. over the course of the time I have used this product. All the other toners I have used made my skin burn or sting, but I have never experienced that with this wonderful product. I have used the cleanser, moisturizer, and toner of the Pureness line for the last seven months, and my skin has never looked better! The only problem I have with it is I got through it wat faster than I expercted, about a bottle/month, which may be due to the packaging.

Cleansers -Shiseido - Pureness Deep Cleansing Foam
rated 5 of 5
LukkiChrm 3/24/2008 10:08:00 PM

I am so in love with this product! It is so gentle, which is perfect if you are using it in conjunction with a stronger product, such as Retin-A, etc. It lathers very well, so only a small drop is need to wash your face. The tiny beads don't expoliate, so I use a seperate product for that purpose. Shiseido definitely won me over with their Pureness line. For reference, I am caucasian with mild acne. I can't see this product doing much for acne alone, but it is the perfect mild cleanser to use.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Soft Brown
rated 5 of 5
LukkiChrm 12/12/2005 6:59:00 PM

Although the name doesn't sound so exciting and the color isn't exactly interesting in the pan, this e/s is amazing on. It has a matte texture, but if you look closely, there is small shimmer (not obnoxiously so). The color reminds me of a neautral, soft brown like the color of those Starbucks Frappaino dinks, though a bit brighter. I am a NC30-35 and this isn't so light that you can't see it, but just right for a nice, neautral, day e/s that really brings out my hazel eyes. This is defanitly a staple for me.

Eye Shadow -MAC - casino
rated 4 of 5
LukkiChrm 12/12/2005 6:52:00 PM

This lustre, LE MAC e/s is a true copper that also shines brown withgold and silver sparkles. The color is a little bit lighter and brighter than Honey Lust and a lot lighter than Urban Decay Chopper, but they are all very similar and in the same color family. I think think color would look amazing on PPP without over doing it, but for us MMMs (I'm NC30-35) it is a bit light and less obvious. The texture is just like any other lustre e/s, a bit flakey, though less than Honeylust and wears for a long time, though not as long as veluze pearls. Overall, I'd probably not buy again just because I'd prefer a step darker in the color scale and I have so many similar colors to this!

Cleansers -St. Ives - Apricot Radiance Deep Cleaning Cream Cleanser - oily and acne-prone skin
rated 4 of 5
LukkiChrm 11/21/2005 6:01:00 PM

This is a very nice prodcut brought to you by a wonderful company full of amazing products. I love this, it has really helped improve my skin. Before this, I was using maximum strength product that were harsh (ick, I'll never forget Neutrogena Deep Clean Toner-it felt like flames on the face!) and didn't seem to help improve the look or texture of my skin. I am very dry about the mouth and on my jaw line, but have major acne prone areas on my forehead and apples of my cheeks. I wanted the acne gone, so I used this (oily/acne prone) instead of the combonation cleanser. This only has a little sylacic acid that is gentle and doesn't make my face feel tight after washing it like other products used to. It is milky and seems to make my skin feel soft while still controling oil and flare ups of acne. I use this in conjunction with my prescribed mask and retin a micro, which have all help me drmatically. The only downside is, the beads. They don't seem to do much and they get everywhere (especially stuck in my white sink!). I would defanitly buy again, but St. Ives should make a version without the annoying little beads!

Mascara -Guerlain - DIVINORA Regard Intense-Noir Divin No.10 (Black)
rated 5 of 5
LukkiChrm 11/21/2005 5:53:00 PM

I think I am in love. I recently bought this was the FF code online at Sephora for the holidays, and it is so lovely. I was debating buying this or Fresh Supernova Mascara, and I defanitly made the right decision. First off, I love big lashes. Ever since I can remember, I have always loved the huge lashes with the doe eyed look. I was using Diorshow for that past two and a half years as my HG, but this defanitly has the potential to chnage that. Comparing it to Diorshow, it is much less clumpy and heavy. This has a smaller brush (don't let that foul you though!) that is way easier to control and can even get those tiny lashes in the corner. It kept my curl all day (still going strong after ten hours!) long without wilting, flaking, or smudging. As for as thickening, this won't do the job if you are looking for that, but as far as lengthening/seperating this is wonderful. Plus, you can use it on your tiny bottom lashes without clumps becoming a problem because of the light base formula. The packaging is glamorous without being cheesy or fake, plus it is skinnier and easier to unscrew that Diorshow. This is a definate repurchase for me!

Lotions/ Creams -Caswell-Massey - Dr. Hunter's Rosewater & Glycerine hand Creme
rated 5 of 5
LukkiChrm 6/17/2005 2:38:00 AM

A quick absorbing, and protective daily hand cream that really feels like it works. I think it would have been better suited in a pump than in the vintage metal tube because it gushes out if you are not careful, but overall it is a good value for the money to the ouce ratio ($11/2.5 oz)
