Great color coverage, without it feeling 'like lipstick'. I have had this tube for a few years (oh, the shame!) and keep returning to it. Decided to use in on a daily basis now, because BB at Macy's said 'she is bringing back the sheers'. I can only hope. If this is true, I will be picking up a few new colors for my stash.

Liquid -Merle Norman - Luxiva Lasting Foundation

Good foundation without looking like foundation. Covers my not-so-flawless face so well that I get compliments on what a nice complexion I have (if they only knew!). Stays put all day, doesn't smear or bleed onto clothing. Can be drying, but if you put MN moisturizer prior to applying, it doesn't feel or look drying . Best foundation I have found for Houston's high humidity. A bit on the expensive side, but lasts a while, so it is worth it. Have been using MN since I was a teen. It is a great brand, just misunderstood.

I purchase this in packet-form at Sally's. I actually look forward to putting it on my hair immediately after rinse/shampoo, following my home color routine, slathering it on thick and then patting it flat to my head. I leave it on for about 30-45 minutes, almost until it starts to dry (geez). But, in spite of my laziness,it completely rinses clean and my hair feels and looks healthier. It does not weigh down my hair. I believe it does hold the color in for a bit longer. Smell is nice, also. I cannot use normal conditioners on a daily basis, because they make my hair flat. Using this occasionally does wonders. A great buy.

Lip Treatments -Philosophy - Hope in a Tube

Really like this product. I put it on my lips before bedtime and in the early morning, before a shower. Seems to prep my lips for the rest of the day. ( I exfoliate my lips once or twice a week in the shower with a this product and a washcloth, which keeps lipstick from appearing 'cracked' on my lips). Wish it was a little less expensive.

Lotions/ Creams -Carmex - Healing Lotion

Bought this yesterday for around $6. Smells like the lip balm, but not as strong. It absorbs very quickly and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth, with no residue or sticky/tacky feeling....which is a plus.

Styling Products -Aveda - Confixor

Have been using Confixor for a very LONG time. It is one of my hair product staples. I don't mind the smell, because I blow dry my hair and the smell tends to fade. (the smell reminds me of a getting a really good haircut at the salon) I have short, thick(but fine) hair that tend to lay flat to my head if I don't put product in it before it dries (oh, I wish I had some our your frizz-laden hair, folks)....I crave a bit of 'poof' in the hair, just so it isn't laying smack- dab against my scalp all of the time...humidity seems to make the flatness worse, so Confixor does its' magic!. Two bottles of Confixor last me a year. It feels clean, isn't heavy or waxy, and doesn't flake at all. Worth the cost.

Believe it or not, I have been wearing this since I was 15. My sister- in- law gave me my first bottle and I have never looked back. Pretty classy perfume for a 15 year old who still wore Heaven Scent! (yah, it was the 60's) It is my 'go to' for special occasions in the summer (cuz I use DKCM daily on hot, humid days)....Chanel tends to be too heavy for hot weather, but when winter comes, it is back on top of the vanity! I just LOVE it , my husband loves it, and ladies at work usually ask me if I am wearing Chanel.(and they mean it as a compliment). It is my signature scent. I feel fortunate that I have been able to pull this off for so many years. Perfumes are so delicate and unpredictable from one person to another. During the past decade, I have discovered that the Body Lotion , alone, does the trick just fine. I treat myself to the #5 soap bar and the whole bathroom floats in Chanel. Wish they made it in a deodorant. It would be heaven, if they would.

Cleansers -Ponds - Chamomile & White Tea Cleansing Cloths

Am not a fan of regular Ponds, but just one of these towelettes gently removes all makeup, especially eyeliner, leaving face feeling clean and not greasy. A great price and will last a whole month, Keeps makeup residue off bathroom towels.

Deodorants -Donna Karan - Cashmere Mist Deodorant

LOVE this deodorant! During our hot/humid summer months, this is the only scent I wear. I sometimes layer it with the DKCM cream lotion, if the humidity is really high, causing makeup and clothing to feel 'damp'...just makes me feel more 'put together', in spite of the weather. Receive compliments that it smells 'fresh and clean' and I really don't think that is code for 'old lady scent'...but any fragrance depends on your own body chemistry, this just happens to blend nicely with mine. Believe me, at my age, my radar is extra-sensitive to anything that is close to being 'old lady' anything! It is expensive for deodorant, but last up to 3 months, so it is worth the price.
