I normally use Color Gloss (same brand), but the last 2 times I went to Sally's they were out of my color so I decided to use this instead. I did light ash brown like I normally do, knowing that these types of dyes usually end up 2 shades darker, and used Clairol Color Radiance developer like I do with my usual dye. I left it on for 10-12 min. as usual too, the bottle had very little in the way of instructions so i just did my normal routine. My hair turned out patchy colored: my usual golden brown in places, straight up PURPLE in other places, and a warm reddish brown (wtf, this is an ash shade?) in other places. I'm not sure if this just didn't apply evenly because it is so super thick or what, but it looks like crap. My hair also feels really dry and not happy. I am mad I wasted my money & damaged my hair for nothing.
Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Magic Lumi - Light Infusing Primer

This is great for adding an overall glow. It might not be the best for oily skinned people though. I like mixing it with my foundation to give lighter overall coverage and that glow. I'm not sure I'd classify this as a primer, really it's more like a shimmery lotion, and is way overpriced considering that. I'd give it a 5 otherwise.
This is a wonderful brightening under-eye concealer! It is on the thinner side, but builds up nicely. I apply it with the brush, then pat to blend. I HATE the packaging though, click pens are so wasteful and annoying! Were it not for that I'd rate this a 5.
This felt like super slippery silicone going on, and that should have been an instant red flag for my acne prone skin. Sure enough, within a week this was making me break out. This also his pretty sheer coverage compared to regular colorstay foundation. I ended up returning this.
Very nice in a generic fresh floral way (I mean that in a good way, actually lol). I can see this appealing to most people, and not being offensive unless it was piled on and you reeked of it. The smell reminds me of aquanet hairspray in a way.
Mascara -Jordana - Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara
LouiseHourihan 8/6/2012 9:44:00 PM
This is the closest I've ever come to the perfect mascara, HG status for sure! This mascara almost makes me look like I'm wearing falsies, and I have wimpy lashes, it really is incredible the difference this makes. My only complaints are that the formula is kind of wet, and you have to be careful how much you have on your brush or it will go on gloppy, and it's a little hard to wash off considering it's not supposed to be waterproof. That being said though, it doesn't flake, it holds a curl, and it wears like iron all while looking fantastic.
Treatments -Unlisted Brand - De La Cruz 10% Sulfur Ointment
LouiseHourihan 7/30/2012 3:45:00 PM
This is another one of those hidden gem products that I would have never known about were it not for MUA! I use this 2-3x a week, and I leave it on for half an hour to an hour depending on when I get around to washing it off. I would NOT recommend sleeping in this, it's pretty harsh for overnight use if your skin is at all sensitive, and the texture and consistency is like slightly gritty honey. Also it doesn't dry, so unless you sleep on your back the whole night through you're going to ruin your pillows. I like that it has a bit of scrubbiness to it, IMO it's enough for manual facial exfoliation so you could get rid of your other face scrubs. I use this in conjunction with sulfur face soap as part of my routine, and as long as I stay consistent in my use my face stays pretty clear. Another tip: Use this at night so you won't have a rotten egg smelling face all day (other people WILL smell it, even after washing off lol), by the time you wash your face again in the a.m. the smell will be gone :)
Loose Powders -Ben Nye - Neutral Set translucent powder
LouiseHourihan 5/30/2012 4:02:00 PM
I love this powder!! This is HG status for sure. I was using Coastal Scents Silica Spheres (MUFE HD powder knock off) for a couple of years, and was happy with it for the most part. I decided to try this on a whim and it blows SS out of the water! My main gripe with SS was that when I used concealer on a blemish, after buffing on the SS with my Mac 187 brush the concealer would be rubbed off and I had to reapply. This doesn't happen with Neutral Set at all! It also sets my undereye concealer perfectly and doesn't crease all day. Neutral set seems to control oil better than SS too, although I don't have a huge issue with that either way. This provides a nice matte finish while still allowing the slight shimmer of my blush to show through. For the amazing price, you can't beat this powder!
This was my HG concealer -and still would be- were it not for the fact that it makes me break out horribly :( I would use it to cover a pimple, only to have a few more spring up right in the same area. I switched to just using this as an under eye concealer, and then got pimples on the top of my cheeks/under eye area. I've never broken out there before in my life! Acne-prone users beware, I now have some horrible ice pick scars thanks to glamoflauge. The only reason I'm giving this a 2 instead of a 1 is that this concealer is awesome and will last forever for those who aren't sensitive to its ingredients.
*Matching review for the Big Body shampoo* My hair is long, a little wavy, and medium/fine. I have oily roots and dry ends, and I live in a dry climate so finding the right shampoo & conditioner is a struggle! I have been using this conditioner with the Big Body shampoo for a couple of weeks now, and I am not impressed. My hair seems frizzier since I've been using this, and I haven't noticed and extra body. My hair doesn't seem to stay clean as long, and gets all flat and gross pretty quickly. I don't really care for the scent (medicinal lavender) but it hardly lasts anyway. If I was a big environmental nut I could just deal with this stuff, but I'm not so I'm moving on to a different product

Totally gross. My sister and I (jokingly) call it "anus anus" because it smells so disgusting. What can I say, we're 12 y.o. boys at heart I guess :) Seriously though, stay away from this perfume if you don't want to smell like a stinky old lady.
Lipstick -New York Color - Ultra Moist Lipwear - Violet Shine
LouiseHourihan 2/7/2012 1:35:00 PM
What a great color for a dirt cheap price. On me this is a bright medium cool pink that leans fuchsia if I layer it on thick. My favorite way to wear it though is blotted down, so it looks softer and more natural. It really brightens up your face!
Hair Styling Tools -Unlisted Brand - Tangle Teezer
LouiseHourihan 8/10/2011 2:12:00 AM
Hmm....I bought this after reading all the stellar reviews, and I have to wonder what sort of brushes people were using before Tangle Teezer to warrant the raves. My hair is long, wavy, and medium to medium fine. I have no problem with distributing conditioner so I have only used this as a normal hair brush. I didn't notice it working any better than my usual brush (the Sonia Kashuk Mason Pearson knock off, which is really nice!), nor did I notice any less hair left in the brush once I was done. For what you get - cheap pressed plastic- this is incredibly overpriced. My SK brush has the same bristle pattern of medium length bristles combined with longer bristles, but the brush itself is far superior in quality, about the same price, looks 100x better, and will last a lot longer before needing to be replaced. I pick the SK brush over this one hands down.
Love this! It's MLBC - my lips but cooler. I was worried this would pull too lavender next to my neutral/warm skin, but I think it looks fantastic. I wish the coverage was a little less sheer, because I have pretty pigmented lips and it shows through the lipstick. I think the sheer semi-glossy finish of this lipstick makes it more comfortable to wear though (I'm usually a lip balm only girl) so I can't really complain.
