Bronzers -Bobbi Brown - Bronzing Powder in Medium
Lori_W 11/5/2008 2:43:00 PM
I have this bronzer in Natural, Medium and Dark. Yes, I use them all! lol My go to shade is Medium and one of the very few products I have hit pan on. I have dark hair, green eyes, medium to light complexion. I can use this shade with a bronzer brush and use it for contouring. When I do use the dark.. I use a softer blush brush with it. Now that Bobbi is doing the customizable palettes.. I so wish they would also make the bronzer available in both the large for home use and in a smaller palette size so it could be customized for travel!

Liquid -Bobbi Brown - Luminous Moisturizing Foundation
Lori_W 9/25/2007 2:48:00 PM
Overall, I have to say I prefer my Chanel Vitalumiere liquid with a pump. The SA used the oil free on me which I returned as it just didn't seem to set right.. I like this one much better but agree with the prior reviewer that I wish it had a pump. But as long as I can find it at the outlet, I will keep it in my make up bag.

Moisturizers -Bobbi Brown - Vitamin Enriched Face Base
Lori_W 9/25/2007 1:24:00 PM
I actually found the larger 3+ oz size jar at the CCO for $58 so if you like this and have a Cosmetic Company store near you, see if they have it. I like this for days when my skin is feeling dry and it doesn't cause breakouts for me like the smashbox primers do. I don't typically have sensitive skin either. Like everyone else, the lemon scent is very noticeable, if you're sensitive to lemon or scents.. think twice or get a sample first. I received a generous sample from the counter at Bloomies and have finished it, a little does go a long way. Since I have combination skin, I don't use this on really humid days or days when my skin is feeling normal to a bit oily. I do wish Bobbi would put this in a tube. Although I like the look of the jar, it's probably not the most sanitary option. Overall, I give it a 4, price I give a 3 since I found mine at an outlet.

Palettes -Bobbi Brown - Face Touch-Up Palette
Lori_W 9/25/2007 1:07:00 PM
I actually picked up two of these. One to keep at home in my cosmetics and one for my purse cosmetic bag. I love this concealer palette. Previously I had picked up the little jar concealer but reach for this so much more often as it's just such a handy format.

Palettes -Bobbi Brown - Stonewashed Nudes [DISCONTINUED]
Lori_W 9/25/2007 1:03:00 PM
I missed out on the Chocolate palette and jumped on this one as soon as it came out and boy am I glad I did. I reach for this one quite frequently. Typically, I am more apt to reach for shades that have a bit of a plum or deep green to them as I have green eyes... however, this range of taupe is so pretty it works with everything!

Palettes -Bobbi Brown - Pink Face Palette
Lori_W 9/25/2007 1:01:00 PM
I picked this palette up at the outlets and am just thrilled with it. This is the perfect palette for throwing into a travel bag with some tinted moisturizer and powder for a weekend get-a-way. I'm seriously tempted to go back and pick up a back up like the other reviewer suggested!

Fragrances -L'Artisan Fragrances - Dzing
Lori_W 4/15/2007 11:09:00 PM
I received this as a sample with an order. I also chose it based on the circus descriptions around the board. I thought, ok.. fun, musky.. maybe a little sweet. Well, not on me. It was kind of musky but smelled mostly like a combination of damp and dry hay freshly mucked into a stall. It did remind me of a farm. Not in an overly bad way, but just not something I need to wear.

Treatments -Oscar Blandi - Trattamento al Fango

Luckily I received this as a generous sized sample. The scent is a bit overpowering in my opinion. The conditioning treatment itself is average. I don't find anything outstanding about this. I'd much rather use Neutrogena's triple moisturizing conditioner or a cholesterol conditioner.

Fragrances -Hermes - Ambre Narguile (Hermesessence series)
Lori_W 3/5/2007 11:52:00 AM
I obtained a large sample of this scent on a recommendation and have to admit this suggestion was a home run hit for me! I love this scent! I pick up the cinnamon early on with a beautiful delicious warmth to it. It dries down to such a beautiful amber-y scent on me. I went to Hermes and purchased the 4pc set as it's easier to carry and would buy this one again in a heartbeat. No buyers remorse here.

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Black Currant and Vanilla
Lori_W 2/19/2007 1:26:00 AM
I really like this one. I've not been a huge fan of Bath and Body Works, but have to admit that I do like some of their recent additions. This is one that I really like. I find it warm, comforting and slightly sensual. I picked up this scent in the body wash and the lotion and later went back and picked up the sugar scrub which I love. For reference, the other items I like by BBW are the Breathe Romance line and their new Ile de Tahiti line in the coconut vanilla and fei banana scents.

Skincare - Face -Dr. Denese - RestorEyes night day eye cream
Lori_W 2/14/2007 1:09:00 AM
This isn't one of my favorite products in the line. I don't normally have sensitive skin but find this one too strong for the skin near the eyes. Even though I'm not putting it too close to the eye it still manages to sting and irritate. However, since I do already have the product I find that I can use it on the rest of my face, neck and ears with no issues. This came in a kit, so it's not a product I would purchase otherwise.

Skincare - Face -Dr. Denese - Dermaclean
Lori_W 2/14/2007 1:06:00 AM
I am really liking the Dr. Denese line being mixed into my skin care routine. She has two cleansers, Dermaclean and the Hydrating cleanser. My personal preference is for the Dermaclean paired with the Pore Refining Toner.

Skincare - Face -Dr. Denese - Exfoliating Facial Firming Pads
Lori_W 2/14/2007 1:00:00 AM
After using the Chanel line of skin care and Origins prior to that, I decided last year to try the Dr. Denese line as well. I've found that incorporating several of her items into my routine I am really liking the overall condition of my skin and have received compliments on my complexion. Admittedly, I do not have sensitive or acne prone skin. I am more likely to have hormonal breakouts periodically and find that those are clearing up much more quickly. I can see how the pads could be problematic for those with sensitive skin, but if you don't have sensitive skin and are looking for a non-abrasive type exfoliator, these are definitely worth trying.

Moisturizers -Dr. Denese - Wrinkle Defense Day Cream SPF 30
Lori_W 2/14/2007 12:51:00 AM
I do like the Dr. Denese line but this is one item in the lineup that does not work for me. I find the consistency too thick and it never seems to quite set. Even with a little powder it still tends to rub off on my clothes. For those that can use or need a thicker consistency it is probably a great tinted moisturizer. Since it is a bit too heavy for me, I'll only give it an average rating.
