BB Cream -MISSHA - M Signature Real Complete B.B. Cream SPF 25 PA++
LizzieVu 11/22/2012 9:28:00 AM
I have used quite a bit of BB Cream but this one is on my top list! First is the color, Missha is the only company that makes BB Cream in darker shades. I'm not exactly tanned but since most BB Cream are really really fair, I always have to mix with darker foundation before using. But Missha shade 23 fits perfectly for me and has that yellow undertone that makes it looks really natural on my skin. The coverage is really good too, I used to use this as a concealer for my acne and with a little bit u can cover a whole face. It feels very light and not cakey at all. I have lots of acne and this does not break me out, so that's the huge plus. The only minus point is the oil control, to be fair, if you have normal/combination skin, I think the oil control of this BB cream is good enough for you. But I'm super oily, so my face does get oily after few hours, that is I have already put powder on top. Still, it deserves the place of one of the most popular BB cream in the market. Highly recommended for 1st time users of BB cream!
Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Lineur Intense liquid liner - brush tip
LizzieVu 6/8/2011 11:07:00 AM
My everyday eyeliner! I bought this when I saw michelle phan using it, and I like the brush tip for thinner lines and I think u can draw a more define line with brush tip. But I would not recommend this for people that are not so good with eyeliner, this definitely require some skills and practice. It lasts a good time, and yeah, it does flake a little bit, but only sometimes... i always draw the line twice so I don't really have a problem with it. Plus I think using eyeshadow primer will help. The best thing is, this eyeliner LAST forever!!! I used mine quite a bit (over a year) and there're still a lot left and it does not dry out! Love it!
Lipstick -MAC - Sheen Supreme Lipstick - Bare Again

As a fan of nude colors and had a bunch of nude lipsticks, I have to say, this is best of the best, the perfect nude color, warm enough so you don't look like the corpse, moisturizing enough so it does not look too matte or drying on ur lips, pigmented enough to show up the color very well. Perfect perfect perfect. I swatched the color on my hand and I just have to buy it right away. I feel like this color can go with any, any kind of eye makeup, and definitely make a great everyday color lipstick. super recommended!
When I look at the swatches for this blush, I knew I have to had it. It's just that super duper cute cool pink, the one color worn by jpnese model that I always want to have. But honestly, when I swatch it by myself, I was a little bit disappointed, because it's sheerer than I thought. So I had to apply 2 times in order for the blush to show up. But I love love the color, it's such a sweet blush for young girls, instantly brighten your face. I'm not a big fan of creme blush though, they're still hard for me to apply and I feel unsanitize using it. Wish MAC will come up with the powder blush of same color...
Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder
LizzieVu 4/16/2011 11:50:00 AM
I SWEAR by this powder, I have been using this for 2 years ever since kimoko introduced it and said it's great for oily skin. I don't even consider buying any other powder aside from this. It's very light, control oil really good and conceal my pore. No matter how bad the foundation can look on my face, I put the powder on and it just look much better. But the thing really hooked me to this foundation is how good it is in oil-control. My skin is super oily, even with oil-free foundation, it will slide off after couple hours. With the powder on, my skin can look matte for 6 hours at least, and that's good enough for me. It's a must have for oily skin people!
I love the color, hate the texture. It's a true nude color, probably look the best on people with pigmented lips like myself. It looks very nice on the lip, since it has more brown so u won't look dead and I think u can wear it by itself, no lipgloss needed. On the down side, the texture is plain horrible, no wonder it's so cheap! It has a very filmsy feeling to it, it smears like crazy and it glides around my lips. I guess what u pay is what u get. If revlon come up with the same exact color, I'm soooo buying that lipstick. I bet these lipstick will melt like crazy in the summer too, haha
I gotta admit, I keep using this bcuz revlon goes on sale the most, but I think I really need to switch up... My eyelids are very oily, with primer, then this can stay for 5 hours max, and then it will fade away. Luckily it does not smear that much. Without primer, then it will fade after 2 hours (I'm serious) and smears like crazy. Plus, it keep breaking, and worse, drying out very fast... It goes on pretty smooth, nothing amazing though.
Lipstick -MAC - Mellow Mood - Electroflash Collection
LizzieVu 1/14/2011 10:14:00 PM
Like most people, I bought it with the tartan collection, and I was surprised by how good it looks on my lips! It kinda remind me of Viva Glam VI due to that nudy, brown-pink color, but it's definitely better with more pink, so it's a younger and very subtle color. You can wear it everyday with any kind of eye makeups. I suggest wearing anude lipstick 1st, and then this, if u have more pigmented lips like min. It's also moisturizing, not dry at all and last about 3 hours.
Treatments (Eye) -Burt's Bees - Radiance Eye Cream with Royal Jelly
LizzieVu 1/14/2011 10:08:00 PM
I need a basic, moisturizing eye cream for winter, and this works well. I love the smell of it, the texture is thick but it absorbs quite quickly. I used it for 3 months now and it's still almost full, so it lasts for a long time - I don't think it's expensive as a drugstore brand. It might be a little bit strong for sensitive skin, I guess that's why some people had reaction with it. Basically, a nice basic eye cream, probably suitable for young girls like me.
So like a lot of people, I was tempted by the price and the colorful eyeshadows + lipglosses, So I bought it last year during the holiday season. BIG BIG regret... I could have bought 3-4 drugstore eyeshadow with $50 and be so much happier... The quality is super crappy, the eyeshadow is very easy to fall out and crease like crazy, even with primer on, and the color is just... well... ugly... The lip gloss is in very weird colors and super tacky... Basically, this palette is a waste of money with 0 value... I hope no one would ever purchase this again!
Moisturizers -Shiseido - Pureness Moisturizing Gel-Cream
LizzieVu 1/24/2010 1:21:00 AM
I usually just use drugstore skincare, but since I really could not find any suitable moisturizer to use for oily skin in winter, I decided to give this a try after the recommendation by the MA. It serves the purpose of moisturizing I guess. My skin used to feel very tight and dry after I take a shower, but now it feels soft and nice. The cream is water-based, so it's super light and sink in very fast to my face. My face does not feel oily at all after applying this. The scent is very nice also. I do think it's a little bit pricey for a basic moisturizer, but again, it should last for at least 2 months (I put on quite a bit though), and it's pretty rare to find a good moisturizer for oily skin, so I would keep using it...
Lipstick -Revlon - Renewist Lipcolor in Perfect Pastel
LizzieVu 7/22/2009 10:03:00 PM
Really really nice color, look super natural on my lips. And bcuz it is a moisturizing lipstick so it does not feel so dry compare to the other lipsticks I usually wear. It is nicely pigemented also, suitable for my red lips. I think this is definitely a very good lipstick for people with any skin tone, it just a universal shade. It just almost looks like it's ur natural lip color! Highly recommended!
Treatments -Zapzyt - 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment Gel
LizzieVu 6/9/2009 11:41:00 PM
After reading quite a bit of good reviews about this, I decided to try on it. Like other acne patients, I have tried a lot of different type of benzoyl peroxide gels, but this is by far the best! I'm amazed by how well it works! Not only it shrinking the pimples, it also prevent the new ones, because I did not get a lot of new pimples since I started using it. Even the jaw area, which always break out like crazy earlier, cleared out after I used Zapzyt! My skin is not sensitive at all, so I don't have any drying effects, but if u have sensitive and drying skin, then definitely reconsider b4 repurchase it. Otherwise, great great acne treatment gel, definitely worth the try!
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Almond Oil Daily Hand & Nail Cream
LizzieVu 6/9/2009 11:35:00 PM
Totally worth the price! I have tried some drugstore hand cream b4, but this lotion totally beat all of them. I usually apply it b4 I go to bed, and wake up with very soft and smooth skin for all day. My hand is not rough to begin with, but it always dry out after a lot oh handwashing and dishwashing, so I count on this lotion to moisturize my hand. The best thing is, it also strengthen my nails! they used to be brittle and break all the time, but after using the lotion for a while, my nails become so much stronger! The smell is really good too. And yeah, this will last you for at least 2 months, because you only need a little bit, so not expensive at all! Very highly recommended.
Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Tea Tree Mattifying Moisture Gel
LizzieVu 5/28/2009 10:26:00 PM
I tried it bcuz I have enough with my super duper oily face, I really need sth to help the face produce less oil! This sounds perfect. I'm very easy with smell, so I have no problem with the tea tree smell, and I like the gel texture. WHen apply on face it leaves a very cool and matte feelings. However, the oil control is not that great. My face still gets super oily after 3-4 hours, which is better than normal but not good enough. When I have sunscreens and make up on, then I don't think this product help at all.... Sigh... Overall, I think it's still pretty Ok, if ur face is kinda oil, then it would work well. Oh, and it does help with acne, my face has less break out since using the gel.
