Treatments -Clean & Clear - Advantage Acne Spot Treatment
Lissielimelight 11/11/2012 12:43:00 PM
I have been using this for just 3 days, and I can say that this is the best spot treatment I've ever used!! To start off, my skin is combination but more on the dry side this time of the year (it's very cold in Sweden in the winters) and lots of pimples around my temples and mouth. I put this gel on the spots every night before I go to bed, and sometimes even on the day before putting on makeup, and it dries out the pimple completely! I used to have three big active pimples that was horrible, I put this on and now only a few days later they're gone. I am blown away! As someone below said, it does dry out the skin around the pimple and makes it a bit flakey, but with a good moisturizer that's nothing to worry about. This together with LUSH's Angels on bare skin and arctic aqua 24h deep hydration moisturizer from Lumene is slowly but surely changing my skin! I couldn't be happier :) EDIT: Noticed that the one I have is called Advantage spot treatment gel and says "Fast action" below.. Don't know if it's the same as the "acne spot treatment" this is referring to.
When I first bought this I didn't know what to expect, I've always used milk or gel-cleansers so this were something entierly new for me. I still don't really know how to get the right amount of this, so I've never really got the "cleansing-milk"-feel, more a softer scrub. Although I really like how my face feels afterwards. Since I am really sensitive to scrubs and such this is a good alternative since it is like a cleanser and a gentle scrub all in one. I have never tried this to take off make up since I don't think it would work at all concidering the consistency, I just use this after taking off my make up with make up remover cleansing cloths and my face feels soo soft afterwards! I haven't used this long enough to tell if it's done any difference on my skin, but I'll be sure to update you guys if I notice any changes :) All I can say now is that this is a good cleanser that softens the face immediatly!
Liquid -Max Factor - FaceFinity All Day Flawless 3 in 1

Okay, so I bought this thinking it would be awesome.. but oh so wrong I were. This is the absolute worst foundation I ever tried! It says on the packaging that it's supposed to be like a foundation, concealer and primer all in one.. but it is soo thin and offers no coverage at all. And also, it makes my face look really flakey, it's not suitable for dry skin or even anything near dehydrated, because it will show!! I believe this might be good for people with oily skin, but my acne prone dehydrated skin did not like this! I am so disappointed of this that I haven't even bothered to put on any make up lately, just because honestly..I'd rather go with a bare face than using this.
BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream

I'm actually surprised this got so many good reviews, because.. honestly... this was horrible on me! First of all, what you pay for this little amount of product is ridicilous... it's not much product in there at all, and I payed about 13 $ for this? Secondly, the colourrange is so bad. I believe it only comes in "Light" and "Medium", since I'm very pale, I chose the light one hoping it would fit me. But it was too dark and WAAY too pinkish, I looked like my entire face was blushing... Not a pretty sight. When it comes to coverege, it didn't do much.. Maybe I didn't care to think too much about it since the colour was so off, and I was shiny as never before.. I basicly looked like I'd smeared butter all over my face, and I don't even have oily skin to start with! This was a waste of money, so please do not make the same mistake as I did!
Cleansers -The Body Shop - Aloe Calming Facial Cleanser

I've been using this for some weeks now, and now I'm giving up. At first I tried using this with water, it didn't take any make up off. Then I tried using cottonpads, it worked pretty well.. but I had to use a lot of product to get it all off. Another thing that I don't like with this is that it does not make me feel clean at all, the cleanser leaves a film on my face that I can only get rid of by using a toner afterwards! I'm not sure but I also think that this is making me brake out, it can be the moisturiser I'm using (The body shop aloe day and night cream) but I think it's the combination of it. So, I can't really recommend anyone to try this.. it's a waste of money! Thank god I only bought the sample. If your looking for a cleanser that takes all your make up off then you should try the foam wash from the same range instead, it's amazing!!
Okay, so I've only tried this on ONCE. But I feel like sharing my first opinion anyways! I am very pale, so I chose the palest shade which is 110, and the color matches my face perfectly. But.. here's the thing. I am VERY dry in my forehead, and when I put this foundation on.. it looks terrible! I am sure it works wonders for you who have normal to combination skin, because my cheeks are not as dry, and there the foundation looks great. I normally have combination skin, but in the winter my face gets soo dry, I hate it! So just a warning if you are very dry like me, I suggest you use a good moisturiser before putting this on, or else it will look patchy and gross! I'm gonna give this another try when the spring arrives to sweden, maybe then it will look better :)
Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Vitamin E Moisture Cream
Lissielimelight 12/24/2011 7:14:00 PM
I've been using this moisturizer for almost a month now, and it has become my favourite of all the vitamin E products. I use this both as a day cream AND a night cream, and it works great! You don't really need much for your whole face, and it does not get sticky as a lot of other moisturizers tend to get. It absorbes into your skin in a second, and afterwards your skin feels like silk! This has really changed my skin (together with the cleansing cream and the hydrating toner) and I hope to see even more progress in a few weeks.
Cleansers -The Body Shop - Vitamin E Cleansing Cream

So, I've been using this cleanser together with the toner and the moisturiser from the vitamin e series for almost a month now. And I really like it! The only thing I don't like about this cleanser is that it doesn't really take off all of my make up, I have to use the toner to get rid of the residue. But that works fine for me! Other than that, this cleanser is great. It has a pleasant smell, and does not irritate my sensitive/dry/acne prone skin! After rinsing my face with this, my skin feels smooth and hydrated. But a moisturiser is a must for everyone, even though you don't think that you need one - you do! I highly reccomend the Vitamin E Moisture Cream. Going to do a review on that one shortly! :)
This blush is the perfect pale pink colour! I use it for my everyday make up, and it gives me lovely rosy cheeks. One thing that I don't like about it is that it crumbles... a lot. So when I dab my brush into the blush, it gets everywhere. That's really the only reason to why I didn't give it a 5. Although, it's still very creamy and easy to work with when you got it on your skin. In sweden where I live, NYX is really expensive.. This blush cost me about 14 $, and that was on SALE. So I'm guessing the regular price must have been about 23 $ , which is TOO much! Next time I want to buy something from NYX, I'm going to order it online :) All in all, this is a great blush. And I will definitely buy it again!
I won this palette in a blog-giveaway and I was SO excited to finally try something from too faced since I've head so good things about the brand! When it arrived I was litterally jumping up and down, the packaging was supercute and the colours were AMAZING! I love that I got a sample of the shadow incurance primer as well, cause it's really great! The eyeshadow stays on for at least 7-8 hours when using it, and makes the colours more vibrant :) Anyways, this palette is.... amazing. I can't even begin to explain! I've been using it almost every day since I got it. The colours are really natural, so you can use them on a daily basis and still look fab! I especially like the colour "satin sheets" which is like a pretty light pink with goldshimmer. It's perfect in combination with "like a virgin" which is a matte greyish-brown colour that I use in the crease! Even though it's quite expensive, it's soo worth it. Cause this lovely palette will last a loong time :)
Concealers -NYX - HD Photogenic Concealer Wand - Fair
Lissielimelight 1/29/2011 3:55:00 PM
Okay, so I bought this concealer for one reason only. I have really fair skin, and this concealer was the only one I found that actually matched. So I thought I would give this a try! The first thing I noticed was the scent, it's got this really strong perfume smell that I just don't stand. Luckaly the smell fades quickly after putting it on! Now to the acutal concealer. The consistency is quite thick, and is hard to blend into your skin. It also tend to look cakey if you take to much. But, it does cover up real good, pimples, dark cirkles, and scars almost disappears! I hate the packaging, and it's not really as much product as you think. I don't really think this concealer was worth the money! But if you don't mind that it's scented, thick, and expensive, maybe this is the product for you!
Cleansers -Nivea - Visage Young - Wash Off Cleansing Gel
Lissielimelight 1/29/2011 3:33:00 PM
I actually just bought this product because it was cheap, so I didn't really have any expectations. But now after using it for a while I really really like it! It removes all my make up, and leaves my skin smooth and clear. Before I tried this I had really bad skin, but now I nearly get any pimples, so it really does work for me! Even though my skin feels smooth afterwards I always use a moisturizer just because it tend to get dry if I don't. But yeah, this is a great budget cleansing gel that does what it says :)
