Skincare - Face -Liz Earle - Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

I thought I would try this product as one of my friends suggested it, and I'm so glad she did! It takes of all my makeup, and it's fine to rub into the eye area, without stinging. The cloth is beautiful, and really helps to give that fresh glow to the skin when removing the product. The best thing about this product is it cleared my skin! I had a really bad reaction to a foundation, I had a bad breakout for months, and the this product cleared my skin! So now my skin is back to normal, and liz Earle had gain another fan. If you not sure about it, go to a free standing store and get a sample with a cloth for £5.50 or something like that. Try it!

I love this product. I don't use eyeshadow without. It allows my eyeshadows to pop and they stay on for ages. It last for ages, and now urban decay have designed a squeeze tube so you can get every bit of product out of it.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #217 Blending
rated 5 of 5
LishWilliams 3/1/2013 7:57:00 AM

This brush deserves all the positive reviews it has earned, it's amazing! I finally got this brush after I thought I would get the real technique eyeshadow kit which has a poor mans 217, and thought it would do the same job. If your thinking of doing that....don't (I also notice that pixiwoo always use a 217, and not the base shadow base....i should have taken that as a sign....anyway) Save your money and get a 217. It blends my eyeshadows like a dream. I'm not the best at doing eyeshadows looks, but this make its sooooo mug easier! You don't even have to try, and it cleans really well with mac brush cleanser. I love it! If your thinking a out getting this brush, do it, you won't be disappointed.

Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo Foundation Brush
rated 5 of 5
LishWilliams 2/28/2013 12:49:00 PM

I haven't used a flat foundation brush in years. I always go for flat top brushes or buffing brushes for foundation, but after getting my colour match at Lancôme and adored the finish it gave me, I thought I'll buy one that's cheap and well reviewed. I brought this brush, and I wasn't let down at all. This brush is fantastic. I did, however find I needed more foundation then I would normally use with my sigma F80, but because the finish is so beautiful, I can forgive it. It comes in a pouch that you can reuse, the down side is you need to cut of the plastic that allows the brush to be hung up in the store. A more useful design would be a plastic thread that can be cut off once home, without having sharp plastic edges. All in all this foundation brush is amazing and boos have a deal at the moment on ecotool (buy one get one half price) so now I know there good, there's no stopping me. P.s I saw a few reviews that said the brush made there foundation streaky. One of the best ways to combat that is use swirling moments as well as quick strokes.

Blush -NARS - Taj Mahal
rated 1 of 5

After hearing rave reviews on here and YouTube, I thought what the hey, lm going to purchase this 'must have for woc' I tried it on at the store..... My boyfriends only description of this colour when it was on my face was 'it looks like sparkly vomit' well that's never good, but he's a man, and what did he know??? Well after I left the shop, it seems he knew everything. I was so embarrassed when I went into mac and looked in there very harsh lighted store mirror. I look awful. Maybe because I have yellow tones in my skin that this blush looked so horrible on me? But I'm now firmly sticking to my mac sweet as coca and my sleek Sahara. If you found this blusher a no go, then try out sleek Sahara, and save your self time and money.

Makeup Brushes -Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman - Setting Brush
rated 3 of 5
LishWilliams 2/28/2013 4:37:00 AM

This is a fantastic brush. I think it's the only real technique brush that I truly like. It was like a dream (like all real technique brushes) It's so soft which is perfect for around the eye area. I use It for contouring/highlighting/ powder/brush....anything that's a powder really. It's great if your traveling light, because this one brush can do so much. This brush regained my faith in real technique brush.

Makeup Brushes -Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman - Expert Face Brush
rated 3 of 5
LishWilliams 2/28/2013 4:27:00 AM

I love Sam, I think she's fantastic, but once again, I'm disappointed with another of her brushes. I brought this brush after so many amazing reviews. I used it with my Lancôme teint idole foundation, and this brush literally drank my foundation. I had to use about 4 pumps to do my face, when I normally do 1/1 and a half (with my sigma F80 brush) When I applied the brush to my face, it was so scratchy! I washed it, and now it's fine, which really surprised me, because so many reviews said it was so soft (I'm sure I had a bad one) It washes beautifully like all the other real technique brushes, which is a massive bonus. I haven't experienced the hair falling out at all, like a few people have said, but if i do I'll do an edit. The brush had a very slick professional design. I really like the light weight design + the brush is very dense. I'm disappointed because I can't use this with my liquid foundation as Lancôme isn't cheap and it's clear that I'm using more with this brush, but I think it will make a really good brush for applying powder to the face including contouring/highlighting and blush. My liquid foundation will be staying well clear of this thirty brush

Eye Shadow -MAC - Black Tied Eye Shadow
rated 2 of 5
LishWilliams 2/22/2013 11:21:00 AM

I have black tied and carbon. Black tied has sliver flecks of glitter that runs though the product, only problem is; if your buying it for the glitter don't, and it falls off or doesn't even make it on to your lids, which isn't a problem for me, but would be if I spent £13 for a eyeshadow that contains glitter for the glitter that doesn't stay on. It's not as black as carbon, but works if you want to soft black eyeliner and make it less harsh. You can also do thins with carbon, just use less product....so in short I would buy carbon if your not to sure which one to go for, and get some glitter separately to push on top of carbon

Blush -Unlisted Brand - Sleek Sahara Blush
rated 4 of 5
LishWilliams 2/22/2013 11:11:00 AM

If your looking for pigmented cheap blush colours look no further then sleek. This is a great peach shade that looks beautifully nude on dark skin. My only negative with these blushes is I find that they don't have staying power compared to MAC, but there a 3rd of the price of mac so I can't complain. I think sleek is a brilliant drugstore brand, and everyone should try a few product from sleek, as they had some fantastic dupe products

Eye Shadow -MAC - Handwritten Matte2
rated 4 of 5
LishWilliams 2/22/2013 11:05:00 AM

Great colour to use in the crease, if you don't want something different to black to create a smokey eye. I find it takes a while to blend, but this could be because of less the average blending technique, so hopefully as time goes on, I'll become better at it. I really like this colour and if you haven't got any dark browns in your palette think about getting this

Eye Shadow -MAC - Antiqued (Veluxe Pearl)
rated 4 of 5
LishWilliams 2/22/2013 11:00:00 AM

This is more of a golden copper brown on my NC50 skin. It goes on beautifully, and can be worm on its own with some brown kohl liner on the waterline and tight line, with a bit of mascara. It's easy to blend with other colours and I'll always have this colour in my palette EDIT: doing a really quick edit. I wore this yesterday and went out shopping at the makeup counters in Westfield, and so many makeup artist where asking what colour this was and how beautiful it looked. This eyeshadow is the 'ONE' get it!

Mascara -Revlon - Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara
rated 4 of 5
LishWilliams 2/22/2013 10:51:00 AM

For a drug store mascara, I found this a bit over priced at £10/£11. The brush is quite long, so it's hard to get right into the corner lashes. I find to build this mascara without clumps, you need to do one layer, let it dry, then do another layer. The key selling point of this mascara is growth... I haven't seen my lashes grow because of this product, and I doubt they will. This is a mascara that will be useful to people who have thicker fuller lashes, because if your lashes are a bit sparse the brush will do nothing but over load you lashes. It's ok for now, but I won't be buying it again. Edit: I love this mascara... I added an extra lippie! I didn't use this mascara for weeks, then thought I better finish it, so I started using it, then fell in love. All the above stands, but when I have it on (I've been using castor oil to thicken my lashes) my lashes look beautiful, full and fabulous.

Mascara -Superdrug - MUA Mascara - Shade 1 (Clear)
rated 4 of 5
LishWilliams 2/22/2013 8:20:00 AM

I haven't used any other eyebrow tammer gels/ mascara, but for £1 this stuff is amazing. I only use it on my brows and it's great! It doesn't make them look like there covered in plastic, but grooms them and keeps them in place. I normally use my MAC spiked pencil, them run this through my brows a couple of times. I love this product and will defiantly by again.

Eyes -E.L.F. - Dramatic Lash Kit
rated 4 of 5
LishWilliams 2/22/2013 8:13:00 AM

These lashes are fantastic value. I brought them online (because we don't have elf stores in the uk) they were 50 % off, so even more of a bargain. I don't use the glue that it comes with, I normally use my duo lash glue, so I can't comment on the glue that it comes with. The lash seam is really thin, which I was really surprised about because cheaper lashes normally have a really horrible think seam. The lashes are dramatic, and if you look after them you could get a few wears out of them. I personally think there great value for money, and great for people who want to practise applying false lashes.

Lip Liners -MAC - Nightmoth
rated 4 of 5
LishWilliams 2/22/2013 8:05:00 AM

I used this lip liner with MAC cyber lipstick. This lipliner is soft, easy to sharpen and glides on perfectly. You can use it on its own and add some gloss or with a dark plum lipstick for a beautiful sexy vamped up look. I'm an NC50, and it looks great on my skin tone.
