Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous - Black Cherry

Very pleasantly surprised by this lipstick. I have been brave enough to used a lipstick anywhere close to as dark at this, but because it's fall now I decided it was worth a shot. I was worried that such a dark shade would make me look washed out, but this color looks so luxurious and I think it would work well on most skin tones. What also amazed me was the fact that after applying it, I look instantly put together without trying very hard. It lasts absolutely forever, but it is fairly drying so it's good to make sure lips are well moisturized. The formulation is amazing. It goes on very smoothly, and doesn't feel thick or heavy. There is nothing really in the way of scent, which I prefer. But the best thing about this product, is that it can be used to its full potential color, or can be sheered out to any degree you're comfortable with and it will still look amazing. Ultimately this is such a beautiful color and I'm so happy I ventured out of my comfort zone.

Treatments -Garnier - Sleek and Shine Moroccan Sleek Oil Treatment
rated 5 of 5
LindseyAnne 10/11/2012 1:19:00 AM

This stuff is absolutely incredible. I didn't have the highest hopes for it only because it is a drugstore product that claims to contain the same ingredients as products that are quadruple the cost. But this stuff works significantly better than my Chi Silk Infusion which was my previous go to product to try and tame my coarse, unruly hair. And it's less than a quarter of the price. Though this is an oil, it's a very thin and watery oil that quickly is absorbed into the hair without leaving it looking even the slightest bit oily. Within seconds of working it into my hair, my hair felt SO much thinner, smoother, and healthier. I can't even express how much I love this product and I have nothing negative to say about it. So impressed. Well done, Garnier.

Polishes -OPI - Swimsuit... Nailed it!

SUCH a shame that this color stains so bad. The formulation and dimension are out of this world. Even with a base coat it still stains my nails and cuticles like crazy. And they stay stained for days.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow
rated 4 of 5
LindseyAnne 9/3/2012 9:07:00 PM

The only color I've tried in these is Bad To the Bronze. And for a drugstore creme shadow, it's pretty great. It doesn't tend to crease, at least not for hours. But I do find once this has been open and used a few times it does start to get a fair bit drier. And when it did get drier, I found the color to look a lot less bronze and more just brown. Using it alone on my eyes makes them look kind of muddy. But this looks beautiful as a subtle eyeliner, or it looks absolutely fabulous as a base for MAC's eye shadow in Woodwinked.

Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup
rated 5 of 5
LindseyAnne 9/3/2012 8:49:00 PM

This is my holy grail foundation. I was previously a huge fan of the original colorstay in the combination/oily formula, although it tended to be a bit cakey. The new colorstay whipped creme makeup has is everything that the original colorstay was, minus the cakey finish. But I was a little hesitant to buy the colorstay whipped because it wasn't the combination/oily formulation that I was used to. It doesn't seem to matter with this foundation though. I've worn it for up to 12 hours straight on my fairly oily skin without a single touch up. I got the shade 150 Buff because that's what I used in the original colorstay, and it was a perfect match. The packaging is a little annoying because it's so big and bulky, but it does look pretty and more expensive than it actually is. As far as application, the foundation looks good when you first apply it, but as the day goes on, it looks even BETTER. I just used a slightly damp stippling brush and it blends very nicely without using much product and it the coverage is amazing. My only complaint about this, is that I can't stand the thought of taking it off at night because I look more perfect and flawless than I did even when I first put it on. Great job, Revlon!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette
rated 4 of 5
LindseyAnne 8/22/2012 8:38:00 PM

Such a good neutral eye palette. The colors are flattering on any skin tone, and the combinations are endless. That being said however, I do with there were a few more matte eye shadows included in this palette. Though the packaging does tend to get dirty easily, it's really compact and easy to travel with. The only real issue I have with the naked palette is with the color 'Sidecar.' The base color is the most beautiful shade of silvery-taupe that I've ever seen, but there is way too much glitter in it. Not shimmer, but actual chunks of silver glitter. I've searched and search for a color that is the same or very similar minus the glitter, but I've has no luck. If someone comes across one, I'd really REALLY appreciate if they would let me know! :)

Liquid -Revlon - PhotoReady Airbrush Mousse Makeup
rated 1 of 5
LindseyAnne 8/21/2012 3:37:00 AM

There is nothing I like about this product what so ever except for maybe the initial concept, which isn't executed properly at all. This foundation is supposed to be lightweight and easy to work with. But it's hard to control the amount that comes out, it managed to get oily just when I tested it on my hand, and it feels so gross on your skin. And the smell of this is absolutely awful. I've tried a fair amount of foundations and I have never come across one that had such a smell that I couldn't wear it until I tried this. It's not a chemically or fragrant smell, but it almost smells sour. Not something that I could wear on my face. The fact that I haven't come across anyone else who mentions the smell makes me wonder if I got one that was expired or something. I hate to be so hard on this foundation, but I just can't find anything I like about this foundation.

Lipstick -MAC - Fanfare Cremesheen
rated 5 of 5

Perfect 'my lips but better' color. The formula feels amazing, and it's fairly long lasting. It's a very yellow toned pink, and I haven't met anyone that doesn't look good in it.

Polishes -Sephora - Sephora by OPI - Mermaid To Order
rated 4 of 5
LindseyAnne 8/20/2012 8:44:00 PM

This polish looks incredible on. It didn't have quite as much dimension on the nails as it does in the bottle, but what make up for it is the incredible shine. It dries very quickly as well. After applying three coats it only took about five minutes to dry. Very impressive.

Tinted Moisturizer -Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20
rated 3 of 5
LindseyAnne 8/20/2012 8:24:00 PM

This is a fairly good tinted moisturizer that doesn't cover very well, but it does a great job of evening out skintone. It works well used alone or with concealer and powder. However, it is fairly pricey for what you get. The smallest 30 ml size is $24 at Sephora. And I'm not sure if I ended up with a defective one, but the packaging was absolutely awful. It seemed fine in the store until I got it home and broke the seal. I discovered that it didn't have an air tight close. I could squeeze the tube and product would come out even when the lid was on as tight as it could be. Every time I went to grab it out of my make up bag, there was product all over the top and sides of it. Not at all what I expected for such an expensive product.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear - Pacific Blue
rated 4 of 5
LindseyAnne 8/15/2012 9:24:00 PM

This is a one of a kind nail color. It is absolutely beautiful. The polish is very cheap, but that is a pro and a con in my opinion. I love that I don't have to pay much for this gorgeous cobalt blue that is nearly opaque in one coat, but I also cant stand the brush and short wearing formula of these Sally Hansen polishes.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Clindoxyl Gel
rated 5 of 5
LindseyAnne 8/15/2012 9:18:00 PM

I've used this ever since I was about 12 or 13 years old. My doctor prescribed it to me along with a a few other things, but this was the only one that I really noticed a dramatic change in my skin. After only a few weeks of use, it made my skin perfectly clear applying it once a day before bed. I stopped using it for a while and sure enough, my skin started breaking out again. I stopped using it for about 2 years (I have no idea why) and have finally renewed my prescription. It works as well as it ever did, and I'm so thankful I have insurance that covers most of the cost of this product because it is a miracle.

BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream
rated 2 of 5
LindseyAnne 8/15/2012 9:11:00 PM

Initially I thought this product was great. Though the '8 in 1' claims aren't really significant (I didn't expect them to be for $8.99), I thought this was a a good drugstore alternative to my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. Also, the shade range is incredible compared to similar products. It applies well, doesn't cover well, but it does even out complexion as a bb cream or tinted moisturizer should. But after a week or so wearing this with a light powder on top, I was noticing that my skin wasn't breaking out with pimples, but with white heads. Little clusters of them appeared every where and we not that noticeable in an indoor setting. But in the wrong light, the texture of my skin looked uneven and bumpy. I've switched back to my Laura Mercier. Even though it's quadruple the price, it keeps my skin texture normal.
