Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation

Love this foundation! It's more of a medium coverage but it builds BEAUTIFULLY! I layer it over my concealer and it never looks like I added another layer (like a lot of foundations do). I also spot and blend this on my lighter blemishes after I've covered my whole face and it never gives you that horrible dark spot where you've added more. It doesn't look heavy or give you that masky look. I subtracted a lippy for packaging as the lid can pop off rather easily and squirt. (Ask my makeup bag). It doesn't irritate my VERY acne prone and oily skin. It last all day also (with primer and setting powder at least). This is great for anyone with sensitive skin but wants fuller coverage.
Being about 2 months away from my wedding, I decided as a last ditch effort to try lemon juice. Thank goodness I did! Mind you, I went at it hardcore. I've been using the standard lemon juice concentrate on a cotton ball without diluting it twice a day. It stings a little yes, but nothing to cry about. I've been VERY pleased with how much brighter my complexion is, the rapid fading of my chronic acne scars and hyperpigmentation, and how much it's helped control my moderate acne (including hormonal cystic ones). I did go through a brief 'purging' stage that lasted maybe a week or so but they cleared as soon as they came. When I started I had dull, oily, madly broken out skin with deep red and brown acne scarring. I'm not totally clear but I never have been...yet. Overall, my skin looks MUCH healthier and I will continue to use this permanently. I find myself having to use much less foundation and concealer. Please give this a shot if you have acne and especially scarring. I feel much more confident and hopeful about my skin!
Foundations -Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-hour Full-Coverage Foundation SPF 15

Great!!! I have been DYING to try this for MONTHS as a huge Tarte fan. Finally, after a 2 hour trip to Sephora with no luck and trolling my local Ulta for 2 months, they FINALLY had it in for me to try. I settled on Medium. I'm VERY happy with it's coverage and staying power. This covered my acne scarring and some hyper-pigmentation nicely. I use Clinique's acne clearing moisturizer under this as my primer with Tarte's Smooth Operator finishing powder on top. The consistency is rather thick but not to the point where I have to tug at my skin. After doing 'test runs' of a full day of work and errands, it stayed true and controlled my ridiculously oily skin very well. The only con is that I get some oxidation around my eyes, that may be due to my concealer. Overall, I recommend this to anyone that has oily, acne prone skin that needs the full coverage.
Blush -Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Dollface

I LOVE this color! It gives me a very fresh and sweet flush on my asian olive skin. Just use a soft hand when applying. This color is almost universal. I can see how many skin tones would work with this. It's all a matter of how you apply it. I also have Exposed, but prefer this as a more natural blush. I use Exposed during the summer for a more bronzey look. The thing I love the most is that it has Tarte's famous Amazonian Clay so it keeps my cheeks not only perfectly flush but shine free too!!!
Powder -Tarte - Smooth Operator Micronized Clay Finishing Powder

This is the BEST finishing powder EVER. It keeps me stubbornly shine free! Even if I get hot and sweaty, after I cool down I still don't look greasy! This has also helped "seal" my face on. My makeup stays put all day! I haven't had any breakout issues whatsoever. I believe it may be helping my skin keep clear and soft. I couldn't be happier with this!!! HG!!!!!!!
This stuff is a MIRACLE..........IF you use it on the right ones. You must use it on ONLY the cystic, deep, painful, knot-like zits as quickly as you realize it's developing. It's been pretty effective on cystic ones that are a bit more advanced. NEVER, EVER, EVER, NEVER use it on any other types of zits, including your typical surfaced ones. This will only exacerbate it by tenfold and make it only bigger and angrier. It's completely vanished my rare cystic ones overnight when I used this correctly. So as long as you apply this on the right type, you're golden! Apply to the wrong ones, you're in a world of misery. I know this review seems pretty bipolar but I do recommend it.
This is GREAT for those very angry, already at a head zits. I dab this on before bed and by morning its SIGNIFICANTLY reduced if not gone. It is exactly what it says 'Drying' so only use it on ones that are visibly ready to burst. On others that aren't quite there yet, I have found it does just dry the whole spot out, which is somewhat helpful but makes for a flaky spot. For me, this has been far more effective as an emergency fix than anything else I've tried...and I've tried a LOT! (Yes including proactive....meh!) It can sting a bit for a second but it fades quickly. (I like to think it's because it penetrating so well). I do like the plastic bottle. Other formulas like this come in glass ones but I prefer this. Over all, I love it and highly recommend it!!!
Treatments -Clinique - Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer Oil-Free

This is my FAVORITE part of my makeup routine! I have VERY fussy skin. I breakout easily and get horrifically oily. This lotion not only has kept breakouts completely away (besides the 1 or 2 during you-know-when) but it keeps me very, very matte all day long. By the end of a full day I have just barely a bit of shine breakthrough which is easily removed with a quick blot or grazing my kabuki over my T-zone. No more looking like I dunked my face in a bucket of baby oil! Also, it has very significantly increased my makeup's staying power! I could not love this any more than I already do!!! I will not put any makeup on before I put on this. Only tip I have on this is to apply a very thin layer of it on. If you use too much it will clump up in flakes and come off. It absorbs quickly so you're ready to apply foundation in a minute or two. If you have acne prone skin or get super greasy, please give this a try!
Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder

I used this for about a year. It DOES work. It DOES keep you matte for longer than other oil controlling powders I've tried, BUT it broke me out. I kept using it thinking it was something else until I changed my whole routine with different products but used this powder still, since I loved the oil control. I finally came to the sad realization it was indeed this powder. I ceased to use it and started using shine free maybelline loose powder instead. Since then, the breakouts have stopped. I LOVED this powder until it blew up my face! Bummer. Awful packaging, terrible thin powder poof! It may be a HG for others without acne prone skin.
