Moisturizers -Avene - Light Protective Hydrating Cream (Hydrance Optimale SPF 20)
LiliRoseVoice 4/25/2013 3:00:00 AM
Excellent light texture, hydrating moisturizer with SPF 20. I have very oily skin and this is the most comfortable daily moisturizer I have ever tried. The SPF is enough for most of the year, although, living in Italy, during the summer I need some more protection. It's so light and it absorbs so easily that it almost feels like you're not wearing anything. The only downside is the price: here it costs around 20 euros and I find I have to buy two a year. If you have oily skin definitely give this a try.

Treatments (Eye) -La Roche Posay - Hydraphase Intense Serum Gel Concentate
LiliRoseVoice 4/25/2013 2:47:00 AM
This is my first specific product for the eye area. I'm 25 going on 26 and I'm just starting to notice a little creasing around the eye area, mainly after a long day and if I'm really tired and stressed. I bought this after consulting with a pharmacist (la roche posay and avene products are sold in pharmacies here) who said that for my age I only needed something hydrating, light and de-puffing. This product is exactly this: it is a very light gel but gives intense hydration without feeling too heavy for this delicate area. It says it contains de- puffing ingredients (I think caffeine) although I can't vouch for this as I don't tend to puff up a lot. I use this at night with a gentle massage and in the morning I am line free and smooth. The hydration lasts during the day and my concealer doesn't crease up as much. It cost around 15 euros here but because of the texture you only need a very small amount, which means this tube will likely last around 6 months for me. All in all if you don't feel like you need a heavy duty eye cream, and simply require some hydration and smoothing, this is a good and simple product.

Treatments -La Roche Posay - Effaclar K
LiliRoseVoice 4/25/2013 2:40:00 AM
This product works. It's definitely my holy grail acne/renewal night cream! I have very oily, acne prone skin, which is also pale and delicate: which means every acne mark and scar lasts forever, every pimple gets infected at the speed of light and generally my skin is super picky. I tried this out and found that already after a week the red marks had faded, my skin looked clearer and the texture was improved. It doesn't sting, I only need a small amount, so the product lasts around six months for me. I don't think this would be enough for serious cystic acne, but for cloggish and oily skin this is perfect. The packaging could be better, as it is a squeezy alluminium tube with needs to be handled with care, but overall this product is absolutely worth the 16 euros I pay here in Italy As always, YMMV, but if you have oily and problematic skin give it a try.

Treatments -Vichy - Normaderm Night Chrono-Action Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care
LiliRoseVoice 8/4/2012 8:09:00 AM
Don't really like this. It cost 20 euros and seemed to only work the first couple of days I used it, then nothing. I previously was alternating between La Roche Posay Effaclar K and Avene Cleanance K as a night treatment for my oily, clog and acne prone skin, but the pharmacist convinced me to try it. Now I know never to stray again. It separates so I have to shake it really well before opening the tube and then as a result all the product comes pouring out, so I end up wasting so much. I will finish the tube because I hate chucking stuff out and because it doesn't really do anything bad to my skin, but I will never buy it again.

Cleansers -Bioderma - Sebium H2O
LiliRoseVoice 8/4/2012 8:04:00 AM
I bought this in Belgium as up to a few months ago it was not sold in Italy. I bought a two 500ml pack on offer in a chemists at 19 euros so I think it was a jolly good deal. The product is really straightforward to use: just pour a little bit on a cotton pad and go all over your face. It seems so unassumingly transparent but it works really well to take off my face makeup (I use a separate eyemakeup remover). I also use it if I'm home and not wearing makeup to freshen my face as I get really oily during the day. It has had no negative effect on my acne-prone skin so so far so good! I would recommend this totally!

Eye Primer -E.L.F. - Eyelid Primer
LiliRoseVoice 8/4/2012 7:55:00 AM
Honestly I didn't believe this could be this good. I had used both ArtDeco primer and UDPP primer and had loved those, but ArtDeco is no longer available in my country and UDPP is just too expensive for me, so I decided to try this product. It works! Amazingly! It has held up to an italian sweltering summer and I am so happy I finally found a primer that suits all of my needs. My only gripe is that it dries out after a while (I'm talking 6-7 months) but for what it costs I really don't mind.

Lipstick -E.L.F. - Lipstick
LiliRoseVoice 8/4/2012 7:41:00 AM
I have this lipstick in the colors Classy and Gypsy. Both of them have wonderful texture and smooth application of color, they simply glide on and are saturated in one swipe. Classy is a tricky color on me as it is quite cool and blue based, but with the right eye and cheek makeup it works. It's quite a "young" girly colour, very pretty and wearable. Gypsy is my favourite: I tend to orbit towards berry colors, and this is a really nice and muted color which I can still wear during daytime. The finish is smooth and not completely matte but definitely not shiny either. Love love these lipsticks, can't wait to try more!

Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF 15 - Goddess
LiliRoseVoice 8/4/2012 7:36:00 AM
Love this lipgloss! The color is very neutral and versitile and the shimmer is understated and simply pretty. It feels like it would last a good few hours, but admittedly it is a little on the heavier and stickier side, so if you are not a fan of sticky lipglosses beware. The only thing I don't like is the packaging which feels a little flimsy and I don't like the applicator, it always feels difficult to apply the gloss precisely. All in all I will repurchase and I would give it a try if you haven't!

Highlighters -E.L.F. - Shimmering Facial Whip in Lilac Petal
LiliRoseVoice 6/18/2012 12:20:00 PM
I really like this product because it highlights without looking greasy, feels light on the skin and doesn't break me out. The colour is very subtle: it looks quite pinky/lilac-y in the tube but goes on like a cool toned sheen. I'm pretty pale (nc15) and this looked really fresh and natural on me. The price is unbeatable, there is no chunky glitter and it feels great. I really recommend trying this if you are looking for a smooth hightlighter.

Concealers -MAC - Select Moisturecover
LiliRoseVoice 11/18/2011 2:46:00 PM
I bought this concealer after asking the sales assistant for something not drying, that would cover my medium dark circles and could also be used for occasional breakouts. The colour I was recommended is NW15, and it great with my NC 15 skin. The texture is good, not too runny, not too thick, it lasts well into 8 hours. Unfortunately it doesn't cover very much any blemish I may have. The price, 16 euros, is quite steep for the amount of product you get. I don't think I will repurchase, I'm sure I can Find a better option for cheaper.

Blush -E.L.F. - Shimmering blush in Glow
LiliRoseVoice 11/13/2011 4:58:00 AM
Very pretty as a highlighter but not pigmented enough to use as a regular blush on my fair skin. I love using it on top of Mac melba blush, or any peachy pinky blush to give some shimmer, but I can't wear it alone. Perhaps they should sell it as a highlighter? I would repurchase.

Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Luscious Liquid Lipstick - ALL
LiliRoseVoice 11/13/2011 4:52:00 AM
These liquid lipsticks are great! The texture is really smooth, comfortable on the lips and not overly sticky, the colour is quite pigmented and lasts long enough. Pity the amount you get is not enormous, but I don't mind repurchasing for the low price. I have the colours raspberry and pink lemonade and they look really good on my NC10 skin.

Palettes -Sleek - Storm Palette
LiliRoseVoice 10/28/2011 6:15:00 AM
I absolutely love this palette! The colors are really pigmented, there's a good choice of both light and dark colors, the texture is super soft and blendable. I love the packaging: the mirror is handy and a good size and the palette is slim enough to not occupy too much space. The price is incredibly affordable for the quality and the number of shadows. I totally recommend this palette!

Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Plumping Lip Glaze - Oasis
LiliRoseVoice 10/27/2011 3:21:00 AM
I got this product with my first Elf haul, and it's not a bad product. The trasparent side gives a fresh minty sensation and although it doesn't feel plumping it does give a nice smootheness to my lips. The coloured part is quite sheer, a soft warm pink with golden flecks. I Find this quite long lasting and wearable, but if you're looking for something really plumping I would go for something else. On the other hand it is quite a nice gloss.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Eyeshadow Brush
LiliRoseVoice 10/18/2011 3:09:00 PM
I love this brush! It's cheap and effective, although not super soft it doesn't feel scratchy, the bristles are tightly packed. It's also really cheap so I can buy a few of them to use in turns. I truly recommend it!!
