Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Liner - Black
LilMissDani 4/16/2012 1:17:00 AM
The best liquid liner that I've ever tried thus far! (coming from a glorified makeup addict) The color is very well pigmented & the liner has great staying power! The brush is exactly what I was looking for in a liquid liner. It's thin but sturdy, unlike many of the other liquid eyeliner brushes that are on the market. Also, for the individuals that have issues with this liner smearing, etc., I would definitely recommend using an eye primer so that it absorbs the oil from your eyes-making your eyeshadow and liners stay put all day! Overall, you get a ton of bang for your buck with this liner. Pros: doesn't dry out quickly, doesn't burn my eyes if I accidentally get some product in them, and it usually lasts me about 3 months (considering that I use it 2x per day, EVERY single day). I will continue to repurchase this liner time and time again!

Bronzers -Bobbi Brown - Bronzing Powder in Medium

Great Bronzer! Color is very pigmented, matte, and looks natural (against slight to medium tanned skin) when applied. Only a few swipes is all that you need for a healthy looking glow. Will repurchase over and over again!

Mascara -Giorgio Armani - Eyes to Kill
LilMissDani 4/8/2012 12:27:00 AM
LOVED this mascara (original formula)! I haven't bought this product for myself yet, but I did use it everyday for a week during a vacation because I left my makeup bag home and my friend had this mascara in her makeup bag. That being said, this mascara is phenomenal. I naturally have very long lashes so I primarily use mascara to curl my lashes and to emphasize my eyes, and let me tell you--this product delivers!! No clumps at all, added intense color, in addition to added length and curl (volume) to my lashes, which made them really stand out and pop (without looking spidery and fake). Just a few coats is all that you need for dramatic and vibrant lashes. I also thought the packaging was quite neat as the mascara is packaged in a cool metal tube (which is quite heavy, for a mascara at least lol). I will purchase this soon and see if it stands the test of time! Until then, I do recommend those looking for 'intense and dramatic' lashes to purchase this mascara :)

Polishes -OPI - Big Apple Red
LilMissDani 4/4/2011 2:45:00 AM
What can I possibly add to this review that others haven't? GREAT classic red color w/o any shimmer. Delivers a high amount of shine, and one to two coats is all you need. I get a perfect manicure for a few days (3-5 days) before it begins to chip. Also, it is reasonably priced and will last a fairly long time before you have to re-purchase it.

Treatments -Kate Somerville - Exfolikate
LilMissDani 4/4/2011 2:36:00 AM
This review is for the sample size tube ($20 USD) that Sephora carries. I love this product a lot. My skin looks a lot more radiant and blemish-free since I started using this exfoliator. I also noticied that a lot of my hyper-pigmented post acne marks have lightened substantially as well. I've had this exfoliator for about 3 months now and I use it about 2x a week- so this goes to say that a little product does indeed go a long way. I will be purchasing this product again, but I will stick to my small sample size as it is a lot cheaper and easier to carry around with me.

Concealers -Amazing Cosmetics - Amazing Concealer
LilMissDani 4/4/2011 2:26:00 AM
I always saw this concealer while waiting on the checkout line in Sephora, but never really had the temptation to purchase it. That being said, my friend left this concealer in my bathroom a few weeks ago so I decided to try it, and let me tell you I was blown away with the way this product delivered! It has EXCELLENT coverage, and the concealer itself is formulated in a thick, creamy texture so it literally melts into my skin. It also gave me a kind of dewy but natural finish that I always covet to achieve with other concealers but to no avail. I've tried many concealers (Lancome, Estee Lauder, Cle de Peau, Laura Mercier, Maybelline, and many more) and this is my new HG Concealer (thanks to my lovely friend)- with Cle de Peau coming in second place, and Makeup Forever in third. After raving to my girlfriend about this concealer- she generously told me that I could keep it for myself and I could not be any happier! Overall, this is a great product at a reasonable price, my only complaint is the tube that it comes in tends to make my makeup bag a little messy.

Concealers -Cle de Peau - Concealer
LilMissDani 4/4/2011 2:06:00 AM
I was looking for a concealer that would mainly cover my post acne marks and the dark circles under my eyes. After spending a ton of money on many other concealers ranging from cheap drugstore brands to highly expensive ones ($75 +), I finally decided to give in and went to buy it at Bergdorf Goodman. PRO: - Covers every mark/discoloration on my face flawlessly - Nice creamy formula makes it is easy to apply and product literally melts into your skin - Great quality (in terms of pigment and color intensity- *a little goes a VERY long way) - You don't get that chalky/drying effect that most concealer tend to produce when you apply it - Comes in a cute blue twisting tube, so you control how much you want to use without being wasteful (*and again a little goes a very long way- believe me when I say this because I usually go through products faster than anyone else I know) CON: - Extremely limited color selection, so major kudos to those that have found an exact match without having to mix this concealer with another one to get your shade like I do. - Pricey and I found that I can get similiar results for a cheaper price with Amazing Cosmetics Concealer (sold in Sephora), and with the Makeup Forever Pallette that a few other reviewers have mentioned. - If you apply too much concelear it will tend to crease into your fine lines and accentuate them due to the creamy formula. Therefore I highly recommend applying this product VERY liberally after moisturizing your face. I usually get the best results when I apply it with my ring finger (slight dabbing it) as opposed to with a brush- and this method will certainly conserve the life of this product since you will only be using what you applied on your finger. And lastly do NOT forget to set this concealer with any powder that you use or else you will definitely get creasing throughout the day. Overall: If you find the perfect color match then I would highly recommend this concealer to those that do not mind splurging on it. Hesitant to purchase? Then try taking other reviewers recommendations on cheaper alternatives to this product, and if all else fails then by all means go out and get this product- you will not be disappointed. (*Also just as a sidenote: I really believe that concealer should be something that you splurge on because it is the most powerful tool in your makeup bad that can diminish flaws instantly and give the illusion of radiant, flawless, and youthful skin*)

Lip Gloss -NARS - Turkish Delight
LilMissDani 12/10/2010 5:15:00 AM
To be honest, judging from my own personal experience, this lip gloss color is overly hyped and mediocre, at the very least. For me the color was a bit too "barbie" pale-pinkish, which is not the look that I was going for at all. (NC-30 skin tone). For the result that I got, I could have saved my money and bought a much cheaper drugstore lip gloss that at least smelled better than this one did!

Primer/ Corrector -NARS - Makeup primer
LilMissDani 7/7/2010 1:52:00 PM
Review on Nars Primer with SPF 20 Sunscreen: I Initially tried this out because I got a sample size of it from sephora using my beauty rewards points. Before I start, I must say that I am a HUGE fan of the NARS line, and their products never seem to disppoint me so I was excited to try this product. This primer is more like a mosturizer/lotion, so I was very skeptical of trying it on my face because I usually tend to break out from most silicon/oily based products that I apply to my face. However, I sure was surprised after a few weeks of trying this primer that I did not make me break out at all, and oddly enough I saw a significant reduction in my breakout cycle overall (weird huh, i thought so too). I've literally tried ALL kinds of primers such as Smashbox, Chanel, Cle de Peau, MAC, Victoria Secret's new primer, to name a few and sad to say I was disappointed by the results of each of these products. They not only made me break out horribly for the duration of the time that I used them, but they also didn't provide a good base that would keep my makeup lasting longer, and they made my face really really shiny throughout the day. The NARS primer on the other hand has the complete opposite effect for me, it provides a good base for longer lasting makeup and smoother application of concealer etc, reduces visibility of my large pores on my cheeks which is very important for me, and doesn't make my face look shiny throughout the day. For the summer I use this alone as a moisturizer/primer/sunscreen because I once did apply moisturizer underneath it and it made my face very oily throughout the day, as for the winter I apply a moisturizer prior to using this for added moisture due to the drying effect of the skin from the cold weather. Overall, this product is wonderful, and I will continue to keep on repurchasing for now! For the budget savy consumer this product multi-tasks and works as a moisturizer/sunscreen/primer so you are getting 3 products for the price of one, not bad!! So based on my own personal experience I would HIGHLY recommend it to everyone, but inevitably according to some of the reviews it just doesn't work well for all unforunately =(
