This was a Limited Edition Black Friday lipstick. I have been dying for a Grey lipstick for awhile now. This lipstick is exactly what the doctor ordered. It's greyish silver with some hint of black in it. It goes on smooth and lasts a pretty long time. On my lips it looks more purple with hints of grey in it, but you can mute it or add to it. I have mixed it with other lipsticks I have and they have all turned out beautiful. I also have to say for Cleo777 to have the audacity to review a product she has not even tried. Just to bash a great company like MAC because you don't like or understand a color is beyond comprehension. Didn't your mother ever teach you if you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all?! Just because you don't like shade doesn't mean others don't. This lipstick sold out within hours. I love unique shades and cannot wait for their black lipstick to come out. Sure, strange colors aren't for everyone, but if you have creativity, theatrical interests or just love makeup you should definitely try this lipstick. Would buy again!
Party Parrot is another one of the Iris Apfel collection lipsticks. I love this shade!!! It reminds me of a fruit punch color. Not too dark, not too bright, but unique enough to make me love it so. It's a deep pink on my lips. The new matte finish MAC has come up with is great. I usually hate matte lipsticks due to dryness. These new ones rock the house. A must have for any lipstick addicts collection.
Flamingo!!! What would I do without you?! What a gorgeous shade of coral-pink. Again, like Scarlet Ibis. A very unique color to have in your collection. This finish is a lustre, which I usually do not like due to my lips drying out. MAC has definitely stepped up it's game, because this new lustre finish is amazing. I wore Flamingo to work without any dryness of my lips or having to re-apply for at least three hours. This is a must have if you're like me and love unique colors of lipsticks. This will be my "go to" lipstick for the next few months. Absolutely love it!!
Scarlet Ibis was the first color I heard of when hearing about the Iris Apfel collection with MAC. It was the first shade of lipstick shown on the fashion shows and everyone was raving about it. Now I see why. What an unusual/unique shade of lipstick. It's an orange-red, but shows more orangey on my skin, less red. It's not a full neon orange, it's a subtle color, but so unusual. I have gotten tons of compliments on it and everyone I know went out to buy it...hence the sellout within a few hours online and in stores. This is a definite shade for the Spring/Summer. If you can get your hands on it, buy it! It's just the perfect color to have in your collection. I should have bought backups of it.
Blush -Tarte - Amazonian Clay Long-Wear Blush in Natural Beauty
Librakitten 11/19/2011 10:36:00 PM
I just purchased this blush today at Sephore from a recommendation from my bff. She had bought herself the DollFace blush and loved it. It looked amazing on her so I just had to run out & check out the blush. I saw the Natural blush and it caught my eye. I've been in the market for a "red(ish)" blush for sometime now. Revlon used to have an amazing Red blush, but they discontinued it unfortunately. This blush is amazing. I'm quite fair skinned. A little goes a long way and it lasts. It gives me a rosy cheek as if I was out in the cold all day, but not as wild as I normally look. It's a definite must have for any blush lovers or anyone that is interested in a unique shade. DollFace was very pretty, but I have two similar colors already. I would definitely buy again.
I love lavender lips. Lilac lips. Violets. You name something purple & I love it. Fresh Amour is a light (I mean LIGHT) lavender shade with pink undertones. I would have prefered blue undertones which purples are suppose to have. It's a beautiful shade and goes on way better than Potent Fig. It's just too light of a shade for me. I would have preferred it a tad darker with more of a darker lavender to it instead of the pink. Definitely worth trying though.
Well. I couldn't wait to try my first mattene lipstick. The minute I saw the description of Potent Fig I knew I had to have it. I LOVE purpley blue lipsticks. I have to say this is a beautiful color. It goes on a little blatchy, but I'm not sure if it's the lipstick formula or just that my lips have been extremely dry due to the sudden weather change. The color goes on extremely dark. Like a vampy dark purple, but it settles into a stain of dark lavender which I love. I would definitely buy again if the formula is changed or if they made this shade into a regular lipstick shade. If you love dark purple lips, give this one a try.
Lipstick -Revlon - Bordeaux in the Snow lip palette

Revlon has done it again. This beautiful Bordeaux In The Snow lip palette is from the Gucci Westman Expressionists Collection. This consists of a beautiful lipstick called Bordeaux which I do hope Revlon will make in a full size lipstick and four lip glosses. These are all beautiful lip shades and they are in a travel size palette. Makes it easy to travel with. A must have for every girl. Will definitely be buying a back-up.
Lipstick -Revlon - Superlustrous Lipstick Fuchsia Fusion

OMG! What a beautiful, bright actual fuchsia colored lipstick this is. I wanted MAC's Girl About Town and Fusian Pink, but wasn't 100% sure such bright colors would look good on me. I saw this shade from Revlon and the price was a lot cheaper than my beloved MAC, so I gave in and gave it a try. Great color! Great Price! Love Revlon lipsticks!!!
This brand new shade from Revlon is from the Expressionists Collection by Gucci Westman. What an amazing violet shade of lipstick this is. It's not a deep rich purple, it's more like a light violet. I love this color. It has a slight shine to it and it lasts a long time. Going to buy myself a back-up because this shade will go quick.
I'm absolutely in love with Amethyst Ablaze. It's a new lipstick from Maybelline. What an amazing Amethyst/lilac/lavender shade of lipstick. As a huge purple lipstick fanatic this is a definite shade for all purple lovers everywhere and for anyone who wants to try a purple shade of lipstick. It's not too dark or too light. It will suit all skin types. I need to run out and buy myself a back-up of it and fast. This will definitely sell out.
Runaway Red is a definite must have color for the Fall/Winter. It's part of the Mac Me Over Collection. I have Russian Red which is a brighter red than Runaway. On me Runaway Red is a deep rich red. It's not bright, but definitely not too vampy red either. I would recommend this shade for anyone who would like to try a red lipstick.
MAC's Prince Noir lipstick is from the Mac Me Over Collection that came out on August 25, 2011. I have wanted this lipstick since February when we started hearing buzz and seeing the face charts with it. It's everything I wanted in a matte lipstick. The only little thing I wasn't too pleased with was that the color description has it as a deep blue purple, but it's more of a burgundy/redish purple lipstick instead. MAC has really outdone itself with this new matte formula. The color payoff is intense, but you can make it less subtle if you prefer. The lipstick lasted about 4/5 hours on me w/o a touch up and as it fades it leaves a beautiful lip stain on your lips. This is definitely a must have shade for the Fall/Winter. Go for it ladies. You will not be disappointed.
I've been eyeing this lipstick for awhile now. Since it's a Pro item & I don't have a Pro card I couldn't get this lipstick until now. This beautiful matte shade of deep purple (eggplant color is a perfect way of describing it) is from the newly released Make Me Over collection. I'm LOVING this lipstick!!! You have to put it on gently so that it doesn't come off so dark. You can make it darker after. Since it's a matte I was scared it would be dry and hard to put on, it isn't. This must be a newer matte formula. It's so creamy and easy to wear. It's a definite must have for all you purple lipstick lovers out there like myself. Or if you just want a darker color for the Fall/Winter it's perfect.
I was so psyched when MAC's Make Me Over Collection came out. There were so many beautiful items to chose from. Since the beginning I wanted at least 5 of the lipsticks that were coming out: Prince Noir, Smoked Purple, Oh Oh Oh, Runaway Red & Offshoot. I decided against Offshoot to save a little money for the future collections that have even more unusual lipsticks coming out. Anyway. At first look Oh Oh Oh is a horrible brown puke(y) color in the tube, but when you put it on...AMAZING! It comes out like a berry-purple-pinkish-red-raspberry color on me. I am very light & usually prefer dark unique lipstick shades. This has more shine & a little glitter. It looks more like a gloss than a lipstick. It's an "everyday" shade you can wear at work, to the gym, just for meeting friends, etc. If you want you can always wear this shade and make your eyes more dramatic. I would definitely recommend this shade for anyone interested in a day-to-day shade of lipstick. MAC tricked up with the color in the tube. Don't be scared of it, it actually is a beautiful shade of lipstick.
