Lip Treatments -Alba Botanica - Coconut Cream Lip Balm

This stuff isn't anything to go head over heels for IMO. The texture is creamy and it does moisturize so I suppose its good for that. However, I don't like the strange film it leaves on my lips--it feels like I layered tons of regular chapstick on my lips and the product leaves a whitish tinge on my lips (I don't even pile the stuff on! maybe one or two swipes at most). It smells like tanning oil and has a waxy taste. I do like that majority of this product is organic. However, I will keep using this product so that it doesn't go to waste. I will not be repurchasing.
Tinted Moisturizer -Hard Candy - Sheer Envy Tinted Moisturizer spf15

This is an ok TM. I bought this in Medium. It wasn't an exact match because it had more of pink undertone whereas I have a more yellow undertone. The TM is in a squeeze tube and the formula is thick and creamy-like. I hate how thick it is because the thickness makes it difficult to spread without streaking. It smells like suntan oil by the way. In order to have a smoother application, I have to dot this around my face with some lotion. After it "settles", it looks ok. If my skin is dry, it will collect around the dry patches and accentuate the flakies, even with lotion. I don't think I will repurchase again. I'd like to try a TM that's more fluid in texture and not as thick. I liked that even though the color wasn't just right, once it dried my face did look even in skintone and I looked "healthier" haha. Maybe I just need to buy another color if I decide to take a chance.
Lip Gloss -C.O. Bigelow - Mentha Cinnamint Lip Shine

I love this lip gloss! I love the taste and the smell. It is very glossy and can get quite sticky if too much is applied so a little goes a long way IMO. I love how glossy my lips look too once applied. I don't know if I would go far as completely freshening breath, maybe if you decided to eat half the tube, haha. But, the taste is refreshing and cooling. My lips do not dry out from this product either. Also, the cinnamon oil increases the hue in my lips (makes them redder) so I really don't need to wear any lipstick for color. I am on my second tube and would definitely recommend this to anyone!
Lip Treatments -C.O. Bigelow - My Favorite Lip Balm

This stuff is ok...nothing spectacular. I don't like that it feels kind of oily but watery at the same time, on my lips. I feel like it runs off my lips even if I only apply a small amount. It has a weird taste to it, unpleasant. As far as the smell, eh...smells a little like almond, but I feel as though the shea butter smell is overpowering. It does moisturize my lips, but not for long. I feel like I need to apply it every hour or half hour because it wipes off so easily and it doesn't absorb well into my lips. Oh well, this one is a bust!
Mascara -Estee Lauder - Projectionist High Definition Volume Mascara

Ehh...this mascara isn't that great. It doesn't hold a curl, so my lashes fall straight in a matter of minutes. It does add a little length, but nothing spectacular. However, I liked that the formula washes off very easily and it didn't smudge after a few hours. Will not repurchase.
I agree with the review below by Jean550. This kit is great and very cheap. I would def buy this again!
I received this lip gloss as a gift. I sort of like this gloss because it doesn't taste bad at all (kinda sweet actually) and it provides quite the shine! A little tacky in regards to the formula and I don't like the whole squeeze tube thing because you def can squeeze out waaayyy too much. I'm not too crazy about the orange smell, it almost makes me nauseous because it's quite strong IMO. Maybe it's just not the right one for me. I'd like to try this product again, but in different flavors!
I really like this stuff and I love the way it makes my lips look soo moist and they feel so soft! It also tingles a little after application and doesn't feel very waxy or "heavy." I took away one lippie because I have to reapply it constantly so the staying power isn't that great. Other than that though, I like it so much that I will buy this again!
Eye Shadow -Revlon - Illuminance Creme Shadow Quad in Wild Orchids
LiLLatinaFLava 3/14/2010 1:33:00 PM
My friend gave me this palette as a gift. This is my first creme shadow quad and I love the colors, especially because it is purple based and I have very dark brown eyes. However, I haven't used it yet because previous reviewers have said you need to use a primer or else this will crease like that's its job. I gave it three lippies because I love the purple colors, especially the last color in the palette. They're all pretty shimmery, color payoff is pretty good (as a swatch on my hand at least). Once I purchase a primer, I will have to update this review once I try it out :) Edit: Well...i dont know if this is fair or not, but I tried this palette out without a primer...my goodness I did not like this at all. I had a hard time blending the colors together and the colors looked terrible. I definitely did not like how it made my eyelids feel cakey and "heavy." This is a no go for me!
Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Ultimate Minerals Loose Blush - 165 Barely Peach
LiLLatinaFLava 3/14/2010 3:04:00 AM
I was a little afraid to buy this blush because to me, it looked too intense of a color, judging by the color of the product on the bottom of the plastic tub (I know, I know, you can't judge by that alone, especially with blushes). I thought it would be too red or orange-y for my skin tone. I took a chance and bought it anyway (I got it at Rite Aid and if you hate the makeup, you can return it). Well, the sifter is a pain in the ass because if you don't tap the container hard enough, nothing comes out and the sifter is small so theres not much room to fit my Ecotools blush brush in. Instead, I just put some of the product in the lid & collect with my blush brush. My cheeks are reddish in color naturally, so I was careful to apply light pressure on my cheekbones to avoid a red, bumpy cheek. Low and behold, a truly nice finish. It wasn't too red, nor orange-y for my skin and I was satisfied. I would buy this again, but I will always have to use a light hand or else I'll look crazy! Overall, I like it! :)
I have this blush in Redefined Rose. I love the middle color because it gives me a very natural, pink flustered look. It looks so nice on my medium skin tone, I've even received compliments! I haven't experimented much with the darker pink for contouring and the lightest pink I do like for a highlighter. However, if I use it too much, I look wacky especially once the oils from my skin breaks through :( Other than that, I love this trio and would def buy it again!
Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Maple Sugar
LiLLatinaFLava 3/13/2010 3:06:00 PM
Unfortunately, my lips have greater pigment than this lipstick so it ends up looking like a nude color gloss with a slightly brownish cast (which was expected since it is kind of a brownish color). I've only tried it once and I wasn't sure about it. I really like that it's not too sticky and leaves my lips soft. I'll try it a few more times and provide an update!
Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Baby Lips

Unfortunately, my lips have greater pigment than this lipstick so it ends up looking like a nude color gloss. I've only tried it once and I wasn't sure about it. I really like that it's not too sticky and leaves my lips soft. I'll try it a few more times and provide an update! UPDATE: Well I tried it a few more times and I have to say, I had a change of heart. I really like this color because it gives a tiny amount of color but remains a nude color on my lips. It works really well especially if I want a neutral color on my lips with a smoky-eye look. I moved this up to 4 lippies, not quite 5 because it doesn't really last long (go figure, its a dollar) but I love the applicator (twist up & dispenses into a felt/foam-like applicator) so it gives you great control of the product. I'd def buy it again!
Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Plumping Lip Glaze - Fire Coral
LiLLatinaFLava 3/13/2010 3:00:00 PM
This color barely shows up on my pigmented lips (I should have read these reviews first!). It shows up on me as more of a clear gloss with some shimmer. Doesn't do much for plumping except make my lips redder and tingles a bit. The smell isn't good and neither is the taste.
Well, this product doesn't do anything for me in terms of plumping, except for making my lips slightly more pigmented and adds some sort of tingle. The color is a slightly dark berry color on my lips but remains sheer. The smell is not good and doesn't taste good either. I only like it for the color, but I won't purchase this one again.
