Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Sweet Mint
rated 5 of 5

This stuff is really nice. Works great to moisturize the lips, and it does`nt make them drier (like so many other lip balms do). I like everything about it. Cute packaging, too! The Body Shop Hemp Lip Conditioner is still the best, but I will keep eos for daytime use. The shape makes it very easy to locate in my bag.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Porridge Soap
rated 2 of 5

Soap that grows mold, anyone...? Well, here it is. I guess this one is OK if you use it up fairly quick. But I did not love it enough. So after 14 days with no attention from me, it became a furry little new pet that I could not remember to have adopted.

I like the smell, but I am never reaching for it. At all. Not going to repurchase, I just dont like it that much and tend to forget that I have it. Not impressed.

Hair Styling Tools -Goody - Spin Pin
rated 5 of 5
Leylani 1/31/2011 2:18:00 PM

I adore spin pins! The ones I have is from China, they are a little bit shorter than the Goody ones . And for me, that is a very good thing because my hair is very sleek and fine textured. Got them from Ebay, and paid only $4.50 (with shipping) for 10 of them . They only came in black, but still they do not show at all in my hair. Going to stock up on these. Nice to have some extras readily available in all of my bags, at work, etc. I rated the price a 5, because the Goody Spin Pin are extremly expensive compared to those Chinese ones at Ebay.

Hair -Moroccanoil - Moroccan Oil
rated 3 of 5
Leylani 11/6/2010 10:29:00 AM

For your information: My hair is silky fine textured, but with a zillion bunch of hairstrands popping out of my scalp ;-) I like this product. And I love the smell, it reminds me of the Yves Rocher fragrance Cocoon (very nice). But, this should really be named Moroccan Silicone. Because that is what it is. The amount of oil in this is minimal. My hair happen to love cones in small amounts. If you try to avoid silicone, read the label of ingredients before you decide to purcase. It is NOT an oil as in avocado oil, argan oil, EVOO and so on. I will not repurchase if my tiny bottle of it ever run out. And that is because I have found other oils/oiling methods that performs so much better on my hair for a fraction of the price. And OH.... I hate the packaging! This stuff have to be used in very tiny amounts, and the product really should have been sold with a drop-nozzle kind of bottle. Mine is a medicine/pour type. Very un-proffesional and cheap for the price I paid.

Eye Shadow -Everyday Minerals - On The Phone
rated 5 of 5

This is a light silvery beige color with a pink/lavender sheen to it. I got it three years ago, and did not like how it looked on my lids. So it have just been sitting together with my other "will throw away some day" eyeshadows. That was until today, when I decided to try it with the new primer I`ve got from E.L.F. some weeks ago. And VOILA! New favorite all over lid/basecolor shade!!! I just have the sample size, and have stopped ordering from EDM because the site wont let me log in anymore. Now I may have a reason to find a way to get around my login problem because of this eyeshadow. It make me wanna stock up on it as soon as possible, as EDM is known for discontinuing peoples HG makeup items :-/ Going to the site right now to check if it is still there. EDIT 30 sec later: YaY, they still have it! :-D And update: NO, did not buy it. Ordered some similar shades from Fyrrinae instead :-)

Conditioner -Redken - Smooth Down
rated 1 of 5
Leylani 10/31/2010 2:57:00 PM

After using this three times during 9 days, I decided that it just HAD to stop. The first use went fine, very lovely smell and my hair looked goooood! But after the second use, my hair started to matt the day after washing/cond. And after the third use, I got serious matting/tangling. My otherwise so silky (but frizzy) APL length hair was stiff, dull and coarse. And if I grabbed some of it and lifted it up and out into the air, it would stay there. Scary and really weird! But, I guess that is what buildup does. I use a shampoo with SLS every time I wash my hair, so not clarifying was`nt the problem here. This conditioner WAS also hard to rinse out. But; for the great result I was expecting I could have lived with that. So all in all, this conditioner disappointed me a lot. The only product I will use from Redken hereafter, is my beloved Anti-Snap. Edit 11/4/2010 My short journey with this conditioner have damaged my hair SO much. I now have to cut nearly two inches off of it (my last trim was only 5 weeks ago!!!). If I could remove the one lippie, I would!

Eye Shadow -MAC - All That Glitters
rated 3 of 5
Leylani 10/29/2010 3:58:00 AM

I decided to make All That Glitters one of the first e/s I bought from Mac. Due to the reviews here, it just HAD to be something special. An eyeshadow to worship and adore. I love love love golden/peachy eyeshadows, they are my go to colors for everyday wear. And now when I have this one, I really wonder how people can rave so much about it. To me, it is VERY mediocre. I have drugstore e/s of much better quality. And tons of eyeshadows in very similar shades. I should have listened to my gut feeling when I swatched it in the store. It told me that I did not need it at all. But hey, I thought that it had to look different when applied to my lids. Maybe something MAGIC would happen. Well, it did not! And by the way: This shade is not a neutral as in "would suit every skintone", it is definately very warm,

Foundations -Unlisted Brand - Lucy Minerals Foundation
rated 5 of 5
Leylani 10/23/2010 6:58:00 AM

I fully agree with the reviewer below. Finally a mineral foundation I can wear without making my fine lines stand out. Today I am going for the full size in Light Medium, as my sample is running out soon. This foundation is holy grail material to me. I love it! It is VERY creamy, and just a tiny amount gives me exactly the coverage I want. My skin is leaning towards dry, and this mmu is not drying at all on me. EDIT 11/06/2010: I ordered the express kit # 2, and changed it to two full sizes of foundation. And also, I asked for one of the jars to be a 50/50 mix of Bisque/Light Medium (to use as my winter shade). My order arrived today, and the custom mix jar has my name on it! You know, where the name of the shade is stated? There it is; My NAME, in professional print as if it was the name of the shade. Wonderful touch <3

Eye Shadow -Max Factor - eyeshadow singles
rated 5 of 5
Leylani 10/20/2010 12:59:00 PM

I have these in Burnt Bark, Almond and Inca Bronze. The best eyeshadows in my huge collection, and Inca Bronze is my HG golden eyeshadow. These are very pigmented, and super silky textured. Great stayingpower, and they do not need a primer to show up on the lid. Better than my MAC eyeshadows. I hope that these will never get discontinued! Planning to get more of the shades, and have already stocked up on Inca Bronze.

Eyeliner -BeneFit Cosmetics - Eye Bright
rated 5 of 5
Leylani 10/15/2010 12:20:00 PM

I love this pencil as an eyebrightener, because that is what it is. I only use it as recommended, and of course not as a concealer. There is no problem blending it at all, VERY CREAMY and it really works on my sometimes "tired old eyes". I once tried to use my NYX milk pencil in the same way, but oh my it looked ghostly and pale. But, I do use my NYX jumbo sharpener when i need to sharpen this baby. There is absolutely NO waste of product with that one. Definately repurchase in the future, but this pencil are going to last me many years. And, I have found my Everyday Minerals "Pots and Pans" e/s to be an exact dupe of Benefit EyeBright, both in the finish and color intensity.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Patina (Frost)
rated 3 of 5
Leylani 10/8/2010 7:55:00 PM

I have not found an other neutral color that equal this one yet, but I probably will some day. On me, it is an antiqued golden shade with olive in it. The shimmer is not over the top. I dont love it, but it is different enough to have a well deserved place in my collection of eyeshadows. The quality does`nt make me jump up and down in glorious joy (not silky enough, feels almost coarse/gritty going on), but it is okay.

Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Matte Mousse
rated 1 of 5
Leylani 10/1/2010 5:33:00 PM

If I only one word was allowed to describe this stuff, I would say: Urrrgh :-/ The first times I used this, I thought it was just the upper layer of it that had dried out. Maybe the product underneeth would perform better (yeah, I`m an optimist!). But no, it did not. Maybe this may suit you if your skin is really oily.

Eye Shadow -Everyday Minerals - Oasis
rated 1 of 5
Leylani 10/1/2010 3:28:00 PM

This is not a good eyeshadow at all. The fallout is crazy. I am pretty skilled when it comes to applying mineral eyeshadows, and of course I use different primers and the patting technique. So, with this one: A lot of fallout, creasing and and the small amount of base color in it faded so fast (basecolor and glitter particles separated). And very coarse glitter in it, also. Yuck!
