Fragrances -Stella McCartney - Stella- Eau de Parfum

I have nothing but praises for this fragrance. It's a lovely rose scent that lasts all day on me. I'm surprised to read other reviews saying that the scent fades too quickly as I can still smell it when I wake up the next morning. On me, the scent dries down to a slightly sweeter, more innocent scent than what you smell when you first spray it. I have been wearing this scent daily for the past few weeks and it's my new favorite. I encourage anyone who likes flowery scents to try it on.

Hair -Kiss My Face - Light Weight Conditioner
rated 5 of 5
Lexi314 12/6/2003 5:43:00 PM

I love the smell of this conditioner. It's energizing (lemony) but not the artificial smell that gives me a headache after a while. This conditioner is very light weight, which is perfect for my fine hair, but I think for people with thicker or drier hair, this would not be moisturizing enough at all. I need this because it eliminates the static mess my hair becomes during the winter, and it makes it soft and smoothe without weighing my very limp hair down any further. For more moisturizing properties, I would try something else.

Hair -Kiss My Face - Big Body Shampoo
rated 5 of 5

I really like this shampoo. I have fine hair that is always limp. This shampoo has given me some body and it's gentle enough for me to use everyday. It also doesn't dry out my hair so that I can skip the conditioner (except in the winter when my hair is a static mess!) I love the smell and find it very invigorating in the morning. It puts me in a good mood. I pair this with the Light Weight Conditioner and I am on my second set of each.

Makeup Brushes -Aromaleigh - Silky Star Kabuki Brush [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5

This brush is fantastic! I use this for applying the Aromaleigh pure powder and imho, it's perfect. It's not as soft as the Delectable/Luscious (it's close), but it applies the minerals so smoothly. It's not too expensive and I think it's the perfect all-purpose mineral foundation brush. I am so glad I caved and bought this. Edited to say: I'm still using this brush everyday and my brush only shed during the first two washings (about a week).

Makeup Brushes -Aromaleigh - Buffy Kabuki Brush [DISCONTINUED]

This is a nice brush for the price. It was my first kabuki brush. It is good for applying minerals, but it is just too rough for me. I like things that are super soft, especially since I have very sensitive skin. It's not a bad brush, just not what I prefer to use.

This is the softest brush I have ever felt. I use this for finishing powders and I love to just run it across my face because it's so soft. This is a high quality brush and well worth the price!

Fragrances -Lancome - Miracle
rated 5 of 5
Lexi314 5/18/2003 12:39:00 AM

I have this is in the stronger version that is supposed to have a deeper scent. On me, this has a light floral scent that smells young and fresh, but at the same time it reminds me of those old black and white movies (I think this is a good thing, personally). It's not an overpowering scent but it does last the whole day. It's in a clear bottle with a curved rectangular shape (hard to explain). The only problem I have with the packaging is that the corners dig into my hand when I spray it. It's not a problem with normal use because I only need one spray, but I was filling up an atomizer for my purse and it hurt to hold the bottle after a while (I had to spray it continuously because I was afraid of spilling.) I do really like this scent and this is the first floral fragrance that I've liked on me. I'd say it's worth a try.

Eye Shadow -Jane Iredale - Eye shadow
rated 5 of 5
Lexi314 5/18/2003 12:32:00 AM

I love these eyeshadows, but they are a bit expensive. It's a pressed mineral shadow, but when I touch my brush to the shadow, a little extra becomes loose everytime. The packaging is attractive, but when I have loose shadow, it makes it difficult to open without spilling the color. The packaging is a round container with the pressed shadow inside so that when it's filled, the packaging plus the shado is flat. There is a frosted plastic lid that snaps shut. The color has long staying power, but I do not think that it creases any less than other shadows. I hardly every have a problem with creasing with regular eye shadows, but I also occasionally have a creasing problem with these. The colors are nice and can be applied for light or dark intensity.

Lipstick -Jane Iredale - PureMoist LipColour
rated 5 of 5
Lexi314 5/18/2003 12:21:00 AM

I love this product. It's nice and light and gives a sheer color. I have Diana which is a little dark/bright for everyday for me, but it's perfect for those occasions when I get dressed up. Diana is a sheer reddish/mulberry color on me, but my lips are very pigmented. I plan on buying more of these in other colors.

Foundations -Aromaleigh - Pure Powder [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
Lexi314 5/18/2003 12:18:00 AM

I love this. The only other mineral foundation I have tried is Jane Iredale, but I couldn't find a good color match for my skin. Aromaleigh allows for mixing and custom blending and there are over 30 color choices to choose from. I have finally found that I am a 2L and 2N mix (sometimes a 1-2L). These are packaged in huge plastic sifter jars and you get a lot of product for the money. You only need to use a very little bit and I like to apply mine with the Aromaleigh Silky Star Kabuki. This has caused me no breakouts and I have been using this for several months. I do rinse off my face with jojoba oil prior to cleansing to be sure that all of the makeup is removed completely. However, that's not really necessary because I've skipped that step before with no problems. (I use the jojoba to remove eye makeup so I just spread the rest around my face anyways.) Overall, this is a great product for me as all other foundations have caused problems for my extremely sensitive skin. Samples are available in little baggies or little jars. This is a great way to try the product and find a good color match. Update: I still use this everyday. This is the best foundation I have ever tried and I have no problems with it disappearing or separating (unless I apply it too thickly).

Eyes -Aromaleigh - Eye shadows [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
Lexi314 5/18/2003 12:09:00 AM

This eyeshadow is great. It does crease on me sometimes after a long day, but usually I have no problems with that. There is a huge color selection and both the mattes and the frosts are very nice. These come in little plastic sifter jars and the colors can be mixed to create new colors if desired. I love how even if you buy a color that doesn't work for you, simply mixing it with something else will prevent the shadow from becoming a waste of money. Update: I love these so much that I now have around 50 or 60 of them. I like to make my own colors with the pure hues, the shadows, and the mica base. These are great and are the only eyeshadows I use on a regular basis (I have 4 Jane Iredale shadows I also like, but use rarely).

Blush -Aromaleigh - Champagne Pure Blush [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
Lexi314 5/18/2003 12:05:00 AM

I love this color! It gives my pale skin a nice, natural flush and I've been told it works well with darker skintones for highlighting purposes. I have experienced no breakouts. The blush can be rubbed in with your fingers or layered to create a deeper color so it's a very versatile product. It comes in a clear plastic sifter jar which is easy to use and it's not very messy. This is my favorite blush!

Other -Aromaleigh - Color Wash Sheer Face Color [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
Lexi314 5/18/2003 12:02:00 AM

I have this in Patina and I love the color. I also like the texture (I apply it with a lip brush). It's kind of creamy, but not sticky or waxy feeling. As someone else mentioned, I do wish it was in a tube. I have it in the tin packaging, which I hate because I never open these things without screwdrivers. I just lie the lid on top and seal it in a plastic bag so I can access the product easily. However, I gave the packaging a 3 because Aromaleigh has just changed the packaging to some sort of plastic swivel thing that I have not tried yet, but sounds very nice and easy to use. Overall, it's a great product and I will buy more. Update: I now have purchased all of the colors and I love them. The new packaging is a nice swiveling, stackable container. I like these, but I wouldn't carry them in my purse because (maybe I broke them) two of mine have a tendency to swing open easily. I love all of the colors. They are very wearable and adaptable. Personally I prefer to take a lipbrush and mix a little clear lipgloss (using Burt's Bees fruit thing now) or chapstick with the color wash because I prefer lighter colors. This gives it a shiny lipgloss appearance.

Gels/Soaps -Kiss My Face - Silky Soft skin smoother Shower Gel and Foaming Bath
rated 5 of 5
Lexi314 1/4/2003 4:11:00 PM

I love this! It smells nice, it's kinda flowery (like lavender). It makes lots of bubbles and my skin is softer after use. I've used as a shower gel, bubble bath, and I used it yesterday as a shaving gel and I liked it all three ways. Definitely a keeper!

Skincare - Face -Joey New York - Roll-on Blemish Fix
rated 1 of 5

I didn't like this. It was expensive and it didn't work for me. I don't like the smell of it and all it did for my blemishes was make them red. It was a waste of money.
