The dry down of this made me sick! Way to musky... it took on a masculine tone similar to a cologne my roommate wears but I cannot figure out which one. I washed my arms with a tea tree oil soap and then rubbed alcohol on the spot hoping to remove the smell. I guess I can say it has great lasting power (hence the 3 lippies), but definitely not something I would purchase. ICK!

Fragrances -Philosophy - Amazing Grace Concentrated Perfume Oil

I love the scent of Amazing Grace - I have worn it since first smelling it in Sephora a couple years ago. I thought I was making progress moving from the eau de toilette to the eau de parfum and when I saw the perfume oil I decided to try because I assumed the fragrance would last a very long time. Unfortunately, I think the eau de parfum last much longer.... disappointed but still it smells so, so good.

When I first sampled this, it reminded me alot of a salon product that was used on my head when I was a tween (not all that long ago as I am in my early 20s). But the problem was the drydown smelled powderish on me and kind of well - old. It smelled good on my clothes and on my mom, just not me where it really counts. So I decided that for Christmas I would just go ahead and regift it. My mom likes it so much, she can have it since on her it smells nice!

I wore this in junior high and never finished the bottle because one I day I went to put it on and hated it. The other day I sniffed a bottle and I still feel the same way! It smells far too masculine for me and I distinctly remember that me and a best guy friend used to wear it and it just smelled better on him. Something about the unisex quality works better with a man's body chemistry in my opinion.

Fragrances -Escada - Island Kiss (edt)

This is an interesting fragrance to me, but I like it! It definitely makes me see myself smelling wonderful dancing in the sun on some island. For some reason I could see someone thinking this has a juvenile smell because the smell is very fruity like those cheap girly body sprays before we learn what smelling beautiful really means. I say, if it smells cheap, oh well, I'm a broke student and it's perfect for a summer evening!

Since I have worn this fragrance for seveal years (it has carried me through plenty of important moments including falling in love for the first time) so maybe I have an emotional attachment! Whatever the case, on me it smells heavenly, I get compliments all the time and although it is or used to be a fairly popular fragrance it is just that for a reason - it works with you! I have since learned that variety is the spice of life and wear a variety of other fragrances but when I run out, I buy more of this. If for some reason, you don't like it, it simply wasn't meant to be!

Fragrances -Demeter - Sex on the Beach

For some reason I thought the idea of smelling like a fruity drink would be fun and adult all in the same realm - I was wrong. This brought everything it promised to the table, yet for some reason I absolutely hated it. It smells like the actual drink but everytime I put it on I just imagine someone spilling their drink all over me in a club and suddenly I want to shower, take away all traces of it, and run to something beautiful like my Cool Water or L'eau D'issey. They may be common, but they evoke happy memories.
