Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Morning Burst Skin Brightening Cleanser

I love this cleanser so much, I will buy it again and again. I tried this on a whim after my Clinique cleanser was making my skin feel tight and then I got another and it did not cleanse my face at all so I grabbed a product off the shelf which I thought looked quite good. It makes my skin feel really fresh and clean and my face doesn't feel really tight, and it also doesn't leave some kind of residue behind. I'm not really sure about spot preventing as I don't get spots anyway. The only thing I was kind of disappointed about is the beads that you see in the bottle, they get stuck in the pump and therefore don't make it onto your face.

Bronzers -Chanel - Soleil Tan de Chanel - 61 Desert Corail
rated 3 of 5

I generally like Chanel blushers, and since I wanted a bronzer I decided to go to Chanel for one. I chose Desert Corail as it is very light (in the terms of bronzers which seem to come up very dark on my extremely pale skin), and it is the perfect shade for me. I am very fair skinned (Mac NC15) and it only just shows up on me. The packaging is great, the mirror is really big and the brush is quite useful if the compact is in your handbag. I used this for a week and discovered that it was breaking me out. I've never had acne and I don't have particularly sensitive skin so I was quite surprised, but it was definitely the bronzer as the blemishes were where I put it. Such a shame as it was quite expensive and I do not like to waste Chanel products, but beware with this item if you have sensitive skin.

Powders -Guerlain - Perles D'Azur Meteorites by Emilio Pucci

I love this product so so much - it is my first Guerlain buy, and to be honest it won't be my last! Initially persuaded to buy it by a Youtuber (who said that she only really bought it because of the packaging which i never do), I was intrigued and googled Meteorites. The reviews were great so I set off to John Lewis the next week to have a look at the Guerlain counter. The sales assistant informed me that the limited edition Meteorites were £43 (a little out of my budget) and she applied the pearls to my face. The first thing I was hit with was the lovely lovely smell, which reminded me of parma violets. I enjoy the smell but it may be a little overpowering for those who do not like scented products. I don't really like them but this is so nice. You cannot really tell the effects of the powder on your face in the department store as it is really quite sheer and not in your face, but in the sunlight you are glowing (and not in a disco ball way!). It's such a nice highlighter and gives you a really healthy look. I didn't purchase the first time I went but the second time, the sales assistant gave me a discount that I could not turn down! To start with, I applied the product over concealer and Revlon Colour Stay foundation. It gives a lovely finish to your face (and is a great setting powder) but to be honest, I found it to be a little 'too much' and up close I didn't look too great, I found it was a little cakey which I did not like. The next day I left the foundation and applied Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer with the pearls dusted over and wow, my skin looked so good. It looked like I had foundation on (but it looked very natural) when I didn't, it evened out my skin and it looked flawless. I am seriously impressed. I do not suffer from acne and never have done but I have very bad dark circles, and I also suffer from redness in my skin. Using the concealer to cover my dark circles, my skin looks great. I do not think I will ever use foundation again.

Cleansers -Clinique - Liquid Facial Soap Extra Mild
rated 2 of 5
LeoniePhoto 2/24/2013 7:36:00 AM

I came to buy this product after using the normal Clinique Facial Cleanser for a year which felt terrible - it was far too harsh and drying to my combination skin. Upon using this, I found that it didn't do a good job of removing my make up at all, it just kind of washed over it and didn't foam up one. It kind of reminded me of milk which is a little disappointing. I find myself using a makeup wipe and then using the cleanser which seems to be pointless in my opinion. This may be very good to ladies (and men) with extremely sensitive skin, but to those who would like a cleansing facial soap I would suggest to stay away.

Cleansers -Clinique - Liquid Facial Soap - Mild
rated 2 of 5

I have combination skin, and this dries my skin out so much! I find that it is a very good facial soap - my skin feels very clean after using it but if I do not moisturise within about one minute of applying this it feels as though my face is going to seize up. I don't consider myself to have extra sensitive skin - I have never got acne in my life and I have been very blessed with having little to no spots in my teenage years, but the harshness of this soap is a little worrying. I asked for the milder soap for Christmas (the bottle almost lasts me a whole year) and I feel as though it does not cleanse my skin at all. I find that some drug store alternatives are much better.

Blush -Chanel - Joues Contraste in Pink Explosion 64
rated 5 of 5

Such a beautiful blush! I have tried numerous blushes on the market, and none compare to this. The colour is lovely and pigmented - but does not make you look like a doll. It gives you a fresh faced, rosy cheek look. The colour suits me perfectly (I'm very pale, Mac NC15) and it gives a nice burst of healthy colour to my face. I tried other Chanel blushes which didn't suit my colour but this one really does fit. The only thing I do not like is the brush that is provided within the compact. It really is quite impossible to blend the colour using it and get a even application but I guess it is okay for when you are on the go and are left with no brush! The mirror that is provided is really lovely and high quality. I bought the blush last summer (in May) and it is now February and I still have a little bit of product left after using it every day. Definitely a good buy :)
