Treatments -Kerastase - Initialiste
rated 5 of 5
Lenna0013 3/5/2013 4:14:00 PM

This is my first review after a long time, because I felt obliged to rave about this concentrate. I've always had itchy, flaky scalp and my hair is long, fine and very much highlighted (and lowlighted). I bought this primarily for my scalp issues and I've been using it 2 times a week for a month now. It smells of fresh apples and is very light, like scented water. I massage it accordingly to Kerastase instructions video. During the last two weeks I got more compliments on my hair than in the last couple of years, my hair is voluminous and shiny. It looks healthy and full of life. Initialiste is expensive, but will last a long time since you only need a tiny bit every time and all in all so worth the money, more than all other hair products combined. Edited: For proper usage, please see this video below (that's how I've been using it), since Kerastase usually doesn't put instructions on their product boxes because they rely on recommendations from their stylists. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQA2N6LGVGQ

Shampoo -Kerastase - Cristalliste Bain Cristal (Fine Hair)
rated 5 of 5
Lenna0013 7/18/2012 4:20:00 PM

Shocked looking at the low rating of this poo, I had to add my opinion. I have long, fine and slightly wavy highlighted blonde hair. Thin hair, but a lot of it. This shampoo was actually the cheapest out of all the Kerastase range, so I tried it thinking why not. I usually love Kerastase shampoos, they suit my hair and scalp (especially Specifique and Resistance range). This poo left me pleasantly surprised: my hair was left light, not greasy at the roots but not extremely dry at the ends (although since highlighting my long hair for over 10yrs I definitely need a conditioner or some sort of a treatment for dry ends with any shampoo). Smells lovely and fresh, yet not overwhelming and hair looks extremely natural, with movement and easy to comb through. Does exactly what it says.

Shampoo -Kerastase - Biotic Bain Bio Recharge Dry Hair
rated 5 of 5
Lenna0013 1/19/2010 4:20:00 PM

Let me start with my recent hair condition in order to review this right. In September I experienced the worst flakes and itchiness than ever before. The reason for my scalp issues could've been some chemical in L'Oreal Professional hair range that I was using at the time, maybe frequent usage of Revlon hairspray, but I suspect that the reason was my body's reaction to work-related stress and weather changes. Nothing was helping, not even olive oil treatments, and even the most sensitive shampoos did more bad than good after washing my hair. As I didn't have the time to go see a derm (too much work at the time), I purchased Kerastase Biotic shampoo. It really changed my perspective on shampoos, as I usually refuse to spend too much on hair & skincare (make-up not included lol). Also, Kerastase SA recommended Biotic for dry hair, which was a shock for me, as I am a girl with loads of fine, wavy hair, and I always used shampoos for volume or color. I always wanted more volume. But as my scalp problems were unbearable I took her advice and got Biotic for dry hair. First couple of washes, the situation didn't dramatically improve, but I was persistant, as my scalp felt comfortable and hair got shiny. By the time I finished the bottle, the flakes were gone and my hair felt hydrated and comfortable. The frizz and tangles were also gone, but not on the expense of volume and waviness of my hair. So I went back for more to Kerastase, and they explained that one should only use Biotic every now and then, and then recommended Dermo-Calm shampoo for dry hair (amazing how I went from believeing my hair was normal/slightly greasy to dry). SA explained to me that depending on your hair or scalp needs, it is always better to use a right treatment for your scalp (esp. if you experience problems with it), and then treat your hair with serums, creams or sprays for the hair itself (meaning, use a scalp shampoo, and then spray a conditioner for colored hair). In any case, I would recommend this to everyone with similar scalp problem as mine, and strongly advise an expert opinion, as many people seem to use wrong products for their hair condition. If you had problems like me, this might be the answer. Thanks for reading.

In any case, this stuff is amazing for my sensitive scalp. I'm on my third bottle right now and I'm loving it. It gently cleanses, not making my hair greasy at all. When I touch my scalp it feels soft and comfortable. I can comb my hair easily (I do use Vita-Cement Anti Usure once a week too) and my waves are still here. I want to try Bain Satin 1 (I had a sample of BS2 and it was too strong), but am afraid that I won't be satisfied as with this one. I would recommend this to everyone with sensitive scalp, and strongly advise an expert opinion, as many people seem to use wrong products for their hair condition. If you had problems like me, this might be the answer. Thanks for reading.

Liquid -Guerlain - Parure Extreme
rated 5 of 5
Lenna0013 3/30/2009 2:45:00 PM

I co-sign all the rave reviews below, this is my HG in foundations, much better than my prior HG Chanel's Teint Innocence and La Prairie's Skin Caviar Fndt. Parure Extreme covers my hyperpigmentation and is not cakey at all, you can spread it lightly and evenly. It doesn't make my normal skin oily or dry. I'm NC35 or NC40 (depending on the time of the year) and am wearing 04, although 03 would probably be a better colour choice. This baby lasts for 14 hours and am certainly going to stick with it.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Dazzleglass in Rags to Riches
rated 5 of 5
Lenna0013 5/25/2008 5:36:00 PM

This is one fantastic lipgloss! I have Baby Sparks (light baby pink) but I wanted something a bit mauvey, but still light, since light lippies suit me best (NC35, brunette, green eyes). Rags To Riches did not dissapoint I must say: wonderful thick texture (stickey, but it somehow glues to your lips), amazing 3D glitter and it stays on for hours, even after meal. Of course, it's not suitable if you want to kiss your bf, but for going out with girls or dancing all night, it will give you an effect that no other gloss will. I am also enchanted by the color, which is a light to medium pink with a hint of mauve, and the glitter is multicoloured. I advise you to wear it alone, the glitter will show best. I have had no problems with the smell like the other reviewers.

Polishes -OPI - Elephantastic Pink
rated 5 of 5
Lenna0013 3/26/2008 7:26:00 AM

As a fan of nude polishes, I've started to venture into brighter nail lacquers recently, in order to be more "springy - summery". I usually dislike bright pinks, but this color is true perfection! It is an opaque, warm, almost fluorescent bright pink, but in no means boring. Usually pinks have blue/cold undertones, and this baby can sometimes look corally/orangey, especially under artificial lightening. As a part of India collection, I find this to be a true "carnation pink", as stated on the site. Quality is superb, and this will look amazing on both warmer and neutral skintones. I'm in love with this color, definitely the best bright pink I've seen so far.

Treatments (Eye) -Garnier - Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller
rated 5 of 5
Lenna0013 2/17/2008 6:39:00 AM

I bought this product merely for the review below. I got it on eBay for a fraction of the price and I must say that the reviewer below was very right. This really works. I have multiple problems in my eye area: dark circles, fine lines, very thin skin and a bit of puffiness in the morning. I put this after cleansing in the morning, and I do follow with my LRP Hydraphase eye cream (love it to) after it dries. The packaging of this tiny roll-on is great, it lightens up my circles more than anything I've ever tried (and believe me, I tried them all) and it noticeably tightens my undereye area without being drying. It even enables me not to cake on concealer like I usually had to. I am in love with it, will continue to purchase forever (although it's not available in Croatia yet), and ladies you have to try it.

Misc Beauty Tools -Anastasia Of Beverly Hills - Anastasia Tweezers
rated 5 of 5

Absolutely the best tweezers on the planet. I also had surgical tweezers (due to my Mom working as a Medical Sales Rep. for a long while), but these are even better - they even pick up the littlest black spot hairs :) Love and would buy again and would purchase other Anastasia products.

Treatments (Eye) -Avene - Ystheal Anti-aging gel-cream
rated 5 of 5
Lenna0013 11/27/2007 5:54:00 AM

I bought this as a night cream and have been using it as such for the last 3 weeks. Let me just say that this is my 1st (but not last) Avene product that I bought to get rid of my crow's feet (not deep wrinkles, but prominent laughter lines). I'm 29 and at first I experienced some slight itching and a bit of a light peeling on my eye due to using this product during the first 10 days or so. However, girls on the board said it was usual when starting a retinol treatment, so I didn't give up. I looked at myself in the mirror this morning up-close, and I have to tell you that my crows feet are gone. Something I never thought would happen. I am very satisfied with this and will continue using it. I must add that I use a lighter treatment in the morning (La Roche Posay Hydraphase Eye), because I figured out it might be too much to use this twice a day. No more ultra-expensive eye creams for me.

Lipstick -MAC - Sandy B. lipstick
rated 4 of 5
Lenna0013 10/29/2007 6:45:00 AM

Got it as B2M w/a help of a lovely lady, I love this frosty light peachy pink colour (golden frost), love the vanilla scent and the packaging, but it's SOO drying that I have to be careful when I put it on my lips (just on the "good" days). The good part is that it's my "slick-on and go" lippie.

Eye Makeup Remover -L'Oreal - Dermo Expertise Gentle Eye Make Up Remover for Eyes and Lips - WATERPROOF
rated 5 of 5
Lenna0013 10/18/2007 5:32:00 PM

The biggest HG of all time! My sensitive dry eyes can't stand anything else, and boy have I tried: almost anything and everything on the market - from Chanel and Lancome to drugstore brands. This is absolute cleansing perfection (bi-phased, you have to shake well before usage), and I don't care that it comes in a silly plastic bottle, as long as it continues not hurting my poor eyes. Oh, also, takes off traces of even hardest working makeup. Love!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Midnight Cowboy Rides Again
rated 5 of 5
Lenna0013 10/5/2007 6:41:00 AM

Been wanting this baby for such a long time... I honestly didn't know what to expect in person, but it's a deeper beige shade with tons of silver glitter, and it's not gritty, and blends and stays on wonderfully. All the ladies who're afraid of glitter fallout should stay away though, but I personally don't mind it, I'm too amazed with the quality and look of glitter that stays on my lids - I got complimented wearing this yesterday too! So, this is a must for all glitter lovers. I like the packaging too, only wish it came w/a little applicator (Yes, I'm spoiled lol). EDIT: Girls, don't buy if you don't like glitter! I just read all the newer reviews and am surprised why give a glittery eyeshadow such bad reviews if it says SPECIFICALLY that it's a GLITTERY beige.

Red polish virgin, NC 40, light brunette. This creme baby looks amazing with tan, I'm impressed! I might be hooked. It looks more orange on me, but still with a definite red note. Excellent quality.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Moth Brown
rated 5 of 5
Lenna0013 9/13/2007 1:08:00 PM

Love this shadow! It looked dull and grey on my skin when I 1st tried it, but on my eyes it looks like the perfect smokey eye - smokey brown with a hint of greyish-purple (but more like it's hidden underneath the brown shade, if this makes any sense). It's frosty and I usually pair it with nudes, browns and greens, but I can't wait to try it with purples too. This looks exactly like I wanted Smut to look on me. That said, they go nicely together too. Would buy again, and I'm NC40, light brunette, green eyes.
