Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Pink Truffle

This is a lovely flattering rosy brown/pink colour. It is moisturising, has no scent and is quite shiny. It doesn't last long on the lips though. It is £5.99 in the UK. It reminds me of Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Blushed Rose.
I bought this in October 2012 and after using practically every day since then I have only a bit left in March 2013. This is the fastest I have ever used up a crease colour eyeshadow. I think it is because it is quite light so I feel I need to apply a lot to get any colour (and I am pale). I think I would purchase Cork again rather than this because as a darker colour it works out as better value for money as it lasts longer.
Eye Shadow -Revlon - Matte eyeshadow in Peach Sorbet
LeighS 3/24/2013 8:35:00 AM
I bought this as a cheap alternative to MAC Orb as it is similar. However, while Orb has a satin finish, this is more chalky matte and tends to show up eyelid crepeyness more which is a problem over the age of 40. I know this because I tested Peach Sorbet on one lid and Orb on the other.
Concealers -Laura Geller - Real Deal Full Coverage Cream Concealer
LeighS 3/24/2013 8:31:00 AM
I have this in Light and is a good match for my pale skin. I think this is the first concealer that I can use for both my under eye circles and the rest of my face. I tend to use it under the eyes and around the nose. My skin is quite good. I don't use foundation, just concealer where needed and powder. I put a tiny amount on the back of my hand and apply with a concealer brush. I think it will last a long time because it is very concentrated.
Moisturizers -Lacura - Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Night Cream

I am on a tight budget at the moment and you can't get any more economical than a pot of moisturiser for £1.99. It's nice for my sensitive/dry skin in the winter. I think they have toned down the fragrance since I first used it which is good.
Self Tanners -Unlisted Brand - St. Moriz Self Tanner Foam
LeighS 3/24/2013 8:24:00 AM
This is just as good as St Tropez in my opinion and is about a tenth of the price! I bought this for £2.75. It is easy to apply and gives my skin a lovely light golden tan. I will buy this from now on instead of St Tropez to save my pennies.
Warmish neutral golden brown. Can be built up to a dark smokey eye on my pale skin. Will definitely buy this again when it runs out.
I had to buy these after seeing the great reviews on MUA and because they were so cheap. Since I bought them over a year ago I have used them every day to apply eyeshadow to my crease. I usually use the bigger brush. They apply colour quite thickly so I then blend with MAC #224 or #217. They are soft and don't scratch the skin.
I am pale, about NC15. I used to always use Linen but am now finding that this is more flattering under eyeshadow. It makes a nice base for eyeshadow because it covers all darkness from my thin eyelid skin (unlike UDPP).
Cleansers -Boots - expert sensitive gentle cleansing wash
LeighS 3/24/2013 8:03:00 AM
This has changed its name and the packaging appearance. It is now called Boots Simply Sensitive Foaming Cleansing Wash and is in a pale green container. I have repurchased this several times and use it summer and winter as part of my double cleansing routine on a night. First I use Garnier Simply Essentials Soothing Cleansing Lotion and then I wash it off with this to make sure I get all my sunscreen and make up off. I have good skin which is quite sensitive and prone to dryness in the winter. This is very gentle and has no SLS or SLES.
I don't use this as a blush as I prefer powder blush and the colour is a bit too pink for me. I love it as a lipstick though. It is a very flattering rosy brownish pink.
Pressed Powders -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Medium Dark
LeighS 10/18/2012 9:11:00 AM
I went to the MAC counter to ask the SA to recommend a matte bronzer for my pale skin (NC15-ish). I don't tan naturally and rely on fake tan usually to 'take the glare off'. I was expecting her to recommend one of their bronzers but instead she suggested Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium Dark and showed me how to apply it with a brush around the edges of the forehead, into the hairline at the temples, on the cheekbones, nose, chin and along and just under the jaw. I was really impressed with the results and now this is a staple product for me. It looks natural and glowy and I have a much more healthy look to my skin compared to my natural 'undead vampire' colouring. Will definitely repurchase this!
Conditioner -TRESemme - Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner
LeighS 5/30/2012 9:29:00 AM
This is just as good as any expensive conditioner in my opinion. I have highlighted, fine, frizzy hair and this works well. It's so cheap and I just don't see any difference with high end conditioners to justify buying them instead of this. Best thing is that it has no unnecessary silicones. I have already repurchased it twice.
The best red I've ever tried. Really flattering.
I'm in the UK and this cost £1.50 from the website. That is the fraction of the cost of a MAC palette. It is so worth it when you think that you can keep MAC pro-palette eyeshadows in it. Also, I bought a MAC 4-pan palette once and the lid broke straight away. The E.L.F. one seems much more sturdy and unbreakable than the MAC.
