Skincare - Face -Osea - Advanced Protection Cream
Leftwing34 2/16/2013 7:11:00 PM
I love that this product is super hydrating, yet it doesn't make my skin oily feeling. It really minimizes the appearance of lines and is super protective in the winter. When I bought it, I was worried it would be too heavy, but I can use it in summer and winter with no problem. Love this product - I consider it a staple.

Wow! Great results. I had never heard of the product and picked up a sample packet at Ulta as part of an at home spa weekend. My hair is medium thickness with a wavy texture. I rarely blowdry or apply heat to my hair, but it still gets dry. This made my hair super soft and gave me nicely defined waves. I will definitely purchase the full size product. This is the most impressed I've been with a hair product ever.

Lipstick -100 Percent Pure - Lip Glaze
Leftwing34 8/21/2011 12:21:00 AM
I really love this lip glaze. I have never been a lipstick person, but was looking for a slightly more matte look than I could get from a gloss. The texture is creamy and it has pretty good staying power. I usually reapply twice during the work day. I wanted a neutral shade, and started with Lychee which is nice, but Rose Petal ended up being a perfect shade for me. It comes in a really pretty silver metal tube, which a nice switch from the plastic that most companies of similar price points use. LOVE this product.

Tinted Moisturizer -Jane Iredale - Dream Tint
Leftwing34 8/21/2011 12:15:00 AM
I really wanted to love this product. I normally wear mineral makeup, but as I get older, I notice sometime that my mineral makeup settles into my fine lines. I bought Dream Tint in the lightest shade, and have to say that the coverage is extremely minimal. My skin tone is fairly even, but I do have some old acne scars and sunspots. This does nothing to cover any of those. The texture is nice, but I can't say the product provided much moisture. I may use this on weekends, but for better coverage, I will go back to my loose mineral makeup.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Osmosis Pur Medical Skincare - Quench
Leftwing34 8/21/2011 12:09:00 AM
This is a really nice basic moisturizer. It is medium weight, and absorbs into my skin quickly. It makes a great base for serums, sunscreen and mineral makeup. I would describe my skin as normal, and I can wear this in the summer and not get oily. I can wear it in the winter and it stays nicely moisturized. I don't think this would be adequate for someone with dry skin, though. I will continue to use this product.

I have had great success with the Osmosis line in treating my rosacea. I purchased this serum because it has a whole laundry list of antioxidants. It is a nice light serum that soaks nicely into the skin under moisturizers, sunscreens and other serums. I am on my second bottle, and have to say, I don't really know if this is doing anything for my skin. I'm not sure if I will repurchase or not.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Osmosis Pur Medical Skincare - Calm

Osmosis has two products for rosacea, Mend and Calm. It is recommended that you start with Mend and work up to Calm. As with Mend, Calm has really helped minimize redness and inflammation caused by rosacea, better than any product I've ever used. It has also improved the texture of my skin slightly - nothing dramatic. The texture of the product is thick and dispenses from a pump bottle, which lasts 2 1/2 - 3 months using once a day. Several of the Osmosis products that I've used have a yellowish-gold color to them, including this one, which makes it impossible to wear during the day. I've considered buying Mend for daytime use, since it is lighter in color, but I've had so much success just using this product once a day, it doesn't seem necessary. I've been using this product over a year now, and my complexion has calmed down enough, that I can actually go without makeup, and not feel self-conscious. It is definitely worth a try if you suffer from rosacea.

This is a rosacea/sensitive skin serum. It contains several calming ingredients and trans retinal. Osmosis makes two rosacea/sensitive skin serums and this is the starter serum. I started out using it once a day under my sunscreen. I did have some mild flakiness, which persisted for about 4 weeks around my mouth, but not bad enough to give up on the product. After the flakiness subsided I began using the product twice a day. Overall I had less redness, definitely less breakouts and less inflammation on my super sensitive skin. The product is not only suppose to calm, but also help remodel the skin. I definitely experienced calming, but only very subtle remodeling. The product is a little tacky after you apply it, but once I applied my sunscreen it wasn't a problem. It comes in a pump bottle making it easy to use the entire contents. I used this product for three months and moved up to the Osmosis Calm which is the stronger of the two rosacea products (more trans retinal). I would recommend this product to anyone who has rosacea or very reactive skin.

Sunscreen -Unlisted Brand - Osmosis Pur Medical Skincare - Shelter, Sunblock Moisturizer SPF 29
Leftwing34 9/26/2010 6:13:00 PM
This is the BEST sunscreen I have ever used. I have been using it for 6 months now, including the spring, summer and early fall season. It didn't burn my eyes when I wore it for running in 90 degree weather. PROS: I've never experienced any problems with breakouts It makes a great base for my mineral makeup Active ingredient: 18% Micronized Zinc The pump allows you to get all of the product out Doesn't leave a white cast and absorbs quickly into the skin A good moisturizer, too CONS: The packaging is a little excessive A little pricey - $28 for 1 oz, but it also comes in a 4 oz size as well I bought mine from: http://www.karinherzog-jmilan.com Highly recommend!

Eyeliner -Unlisted Brand - Gabriel Cosmetics - ZuZu Luxe Eyeliner

Wow, this is the best eyeliner I've ever used. It glides on so nice and smooth. I haven't had any problems with transfer to my upper lid. It does fade a bit by the end of the day, but I prefer that to trying to chisel it off. : ) I love that it has no strange chemicals and it doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes. I purchased this in Tobacco, a dark brown, and can't wait to purchase more of the colors.

Moisturizers -Sukí - pure facial moisture - nourishing
Leftwing34 4/15/2010 12:30:00 AM
I purchased for the winter months when my skin needs a little more moisture. I comes in a glass dropper bottle, and a little goes a long way. I initially just used this at night, because I didn't think it would be a very good base for my mineral makeup during the day. I was completely wrong. It absorbs so nicely into the skin that I ended up using it day and night. As it gets warmer I continue to use it, and it has yet to feel too heavy for my skin, nor have I had any breakouts related to its use. I highly recommend even for combo skin!

Treatments -Sukí - Targeted Bio-Brightening Face Serum
Leftwing34 4/15/2010 12:23:00 AM
I use the Suki Pure Facial Moisture - Nourishing over the winter and was really impressed. I have several red acne scars on my face that I haven't had any results fading and thought I'd give this product a try. It comes in a glass dropper bottle which is OK, but I like when serums are dispensed from an airtight bottle, especially when you are spending $75 for them. The serum is extremely watery, and to be honest if I followed the application directions of warming 1-2 drops in the palms of my hands, it completely absorbed into my hands. I had the best success just gently spreading the 2 drops on the tips of my fingers and quickly applying to the areas needing lightening. Also, you really need to make sure your skin is still damp from toning, or else it didn't seem to absorb into the skin, instead it just dried right on top of the skin. I certainly didn't expect any results after three weeks, but what I got was extremely dry, scaly skin. I was very surprised because I even followed application of the serum with my Suki Pure Facial Moisture - Nourishing which is an oil based moisturizer. Perhaps someone with oilier skin would tolerate this treatment better.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Sophyto Deep Pore Foaming Cleanser
Leftwing34 4/15/2010 12:08:00 AM
I thought this was a "can't miss" purchase. I have combo skin, which is a tad bit oily during the warmer months and purchased this when I ran out of my creamy winter cleanser. I loved the packaging, a plastic bottle that dispenses a seemingly super gentle foam. The foam doesn't really suds at all, in fact it just kind of melts into the skin to dissolve make-up and dirt. I really liked that my face felt thoroughly clean, but I experienced severe dryness with this cleanser. I tried it on and off for three weeks and ended up sending it back. This would probably be a better product for someone with extremely oily skin.

Lotions/ Creams -Desert Essence - Pumpkin Hand Repair Cream

The scent of this cream is extremely strong, and it lasts with you all day. The cream itself seemed to moisturize very well and wasn't greasy, and I really like the plastic tube with the flip top lid. Definitely sample this first to see if you can tolerate the scent.

Cleansers -Naturopathica - Chamomile Cleansing Cream
Leftwing34 1/20/2010 9:55:00 AM
This cleanser has been a godsend for these cold winter months. I purchased due to the fact that my foaming cleanser was drying out my skin. As the name implies, this is a cream-based cleanser. I dampen my face and massage about a dime size amount into my skin, then rinse. The directions say to use a pea size amount, but I didn't find that adequate. It does thoroughly remove my make up (I use a separate eye make up remover). I've been using it for a month and I haven't had any problems with breaking out or clogging pores. It contains sunflower seed oil, aloe, chamomile, among other soothing ingredients, and no parabens. I also like the fact that it comes in a plastic bottle that I can keep in my shower. Would definitely repurchase! Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Rosa Damascena (Rose) Flower Water, Glycerin, Coco-Glucoside, Glyceryl Oleate, Sucrose Cocoate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Glucoside, Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Extract, Glucose, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Moringa Pterygosperma Seed Extract, Hydrogenated Soy Lecithin, Sclerotium Gum, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower/Leaf/Stem Oil, Dehydroacetic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol
