Cleansers -Purpose - Gentle Cleansing Wash

For the price, this is a great cleanser. It's very gentle and makes my skin feel clean and fresh. Sometimes I have to apply twice - first to take off my makeup and secondly to get everything clean. But this could be a reflection of the staying power of my Tarte Smooth Operator. Considering the low price, I don't mind using a little more. That said, my eye makeup comes right off, without any eye irritation. I like the pump top, but unfortunately there is no way to lock it closed. I have to put it another container for travel otherwise it leaks all over the place!

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara

I think this may be the most overrated product ever! It does not provide much volume or length and it smudges terribly. I can't imagine why so many people swear by it.

Tinted Moisturizer -Tarte - Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Mosturizer (Smooth Operator)

Love it! I have tried several different tinted moisturizers - Estee Lauder, Benefit, Laura Mercier, etc. EL was too light. Benefit was too cakey, LM was a bit streaky. But this one is just right. It's by far my favorite. It goes on like a dream. It's so smooth, with just enough coverage, but not so much that I can see it sitting on my skin. Very little goes a long way. I don't really even need concealer. My skin looks bright, radiant, and even. I think I have found my HG.

Sunscreen -Aveeno - Active Naturals Continuous Protection Sunblock Lotion - Face SPF 30

for the price, this is an OK sunscreen. It's not too greasy and wears pretty well under my tinted moisturizer. It hasn't caused an breakouts. But it's a little thick and takes a while to soak into my skin. I am not sure how the heavier consistency will hold up in the Texas summer...

I gave this 3 lippies because I am still on the fence. It has helped with a few fine lines and my skin texture seems smoother. But I haven't noticed much difference in the appearance of my pores. I did experience a few blemishes in the first week, but they were gone pretty quickly and I haven't had any since (now on week 6). My other issue is the pads. I feel like a lot of the product is wasted on them. I have to wonder how much is going in the trash and not on my skin. All that said, while I have seen some improvement, I am not sure it's worth the price.

I love this scrub. I was skeptical at first because the consistency is rather spongey. I was expecting something much coarser. But it does a great job. It smooths out the rough spots and is fairly moisturizing. Though for the calluses that come with summer flipflop season it may take a few applications... And a little goes a long way. I picked it up in a gift set that was on sale - so the price was right at the time. I love TBS, but they can be rather pricey. They have great sales though so keep an eye out. Join their frequent shopper club (I forget what they call it) for 10% off, lots of great offers, and points for every every purchase. Every other visit it seems I get $15-worth of free stuff.

Lips -Tarte - Natural Lip Stain (New Jumbo Pens)

Love love love it! My lips are softened and actually look a little plumper. Glides on beautifully and is sooo moisturizing. My only complaint - the color doesn't last quite as long as a typical stain. I apply in the morning and have to reapply after lunch. But overall, it's great. I bought Charmed which is a pale pink that works well with my fair skin. I actually received compliments on the color. $24 seems a little steep, but totally worth it, I plan to purchase another color once my Sephora can actually get them in!

Does a great job of soothing my very dry and cracked lips in just one night! I do sometimes wake up with a little residue on my lips the next morning - but it's not enough to deter me from continued use. It's the best and most consistently effective balm I have ever used.

What else can be said? This is a HG product for me. I rarely have any kind of product loyalty - always looking for something better. But I have gone through several tubes and I still love it. Brightens my shadow, holds everything in place without creasing, keeps my eyes looking great all day.

Scrubs -Bliss Labs - Pore Perfecting Facial Polish

I am kind of (totally) obsessed with my pores. And this scrub is the best I have found so far for shrinking them. I use it in the shower, so I have never had any problem with residue. On the contrary, my face feels fresh, smooth, and super clean each time I use it (usually twice a week). I've had this same tube for months, so the $30 goes a long way.

My lips tend to crack and flake, so I have to be very careful with balms and glosses. But this one is fantastic. The consistency is great - not too creamy or too waxy. It provides enough moisture so that even after it wears off and I have nothing on, my lips feel smooth and soft. And the color is nice - enhancing my natural lip color. The shade is a little bright, but without being loud. One drawback is the cost. It's an investment.

I agree with most of the positive reviews. The texture makes this great to apply around these eyes, blending easily without any tugging. Brightens dark circles and is perfect for highlighting eyebrows and at the inner and outer corners of your eyes, but don't get too heavy-handed. A little bit goes a long way

Mascara -BeneFit Cosmetics - BADgal Blue

I am a total sucker for Benefit and usually I like their products. But I was disappointed in the Bad Gal Blue. Even on my light-brown lashes, the blue was barely discernable. And to make matters worse, it smudged. A lot. I'm not a huge fan of the black formula either - for the same smudging problem - but at least it had a thickening/volumizing quality to it. The blue did nothing for my lashes. One positive note: it washed off easily.

Love this mascara! I am a mascara junkie and have tried almost everything out there and this one is my favorite. Don't get me wrong - it's not perfect but it comes pretty close. It goes on evenly, without clumping and washes off easily. It's definitely a buildable mascara - so a high volume look requires several coats. But the reason I love this one more than the other brands out there is how well it wears throughout the day. Most mascaras flake or run, leaving dark smudgies under my eyes. As I write it this, has been 6 hours since I applied my makeup and there is no black under my eyes at all!
