Firstly, they smell absolutely amazing. I would purchase again if just for the scent. As a makeup remover, though, they work as well as the Neutrogena makeup remover towlettes, but you get 5 more per pack and are cheaper. They remove my Revlon Colorstay foundation easily. The only thing they have trouble removing is my waterproof Lashblast mascara. It will take some off, but that mascara demands some special attention from an eye-makeup remover to get off, and even then it seems like the mascara leaves a small trace. So, even though it can't get all my mascara off, I don't blame the towelettes. I still say it's a HG product. I can't see myself switching, unless a same-quality product exists for much less.

Cleansers -Ponds - Morning Refresh Cleansing Towelettes

To me, this product is simply a face wash with little scrubby beads in towelette form. Having said that, the beads do tear off onto your skin. But as a cleanser, I always rinse my face afterwords. There are no claims on the package stating that it is a makeup remover, as they're meant to be used in the morning before makeup to remove any buildup over night, so I can't confirm if they can be used as such. It is definately a luxury item that any other face wash can be subsituted for. I prefer it to anything else as it is both a face wash and exfoliater, and I can easily remove the little bit of soapy residue left on my skin. The scent is a fake citrus-y smell, which I don't mind. And the beads do seem to exfoliate. I have tried another beaded towlette (Equate) with makeup remover claims when I couldn't find my prefered brand at the time, but it was far to dry to be used comfortably - this towlette is certainly more moist. As for the packaging, I keep mine in a plastic Neutrogena towelette container to prevent the loss of any moisture, but the nighttime version is sans container and hasn't noticably dried out. All in all, it's basically a towelette version of Clean and Clear's Morning Burst cleanser.
