Treatments -Neutrogena - Rapid Clear Acne Eliminating Gel

I was on the neutrogena website looking at spot treaments, and read a bunch of really good reviews on this product. I went to the store and bought some, and put it on my zits before I went to bed. When I woke up, I was very unhappy with what I saw in the mirror. My zits were bigger, inflamed, itchy and super red. At first, I thought "wow, this spot treatment sucks!" Then, I thought maybe I could be allergic to the salicylic acid. So I googled "allergy to salicylic acid" and sure enough, the symptoms were itching, irritation, stinging, dry, peeling, and redness. Everyones skin is different, so if this product made your acne worse, then you are probably just allergic to the salicylic acid in it. Instead of getting upset, try a spot treatment with benzoyl peroxide. That will be my next step as well! Gave 3 lippies because it works great for some people. Hope this helped ladies.
