Conditioner -Kerastase - Lait Vital Proteine
rated 5 of 5

This conditioner leaves my hair silky, soft, and moisturized. In Alabama, summers are very hot and humid and my hair usually looks frizzy and messy by the end of the day. This conditioner, paired with Bain Satin 2 keeps my hair looking as smooth as it does in the morning. Pricey but worth it!

Treatments -Jan Marini - Bioclear
rated 5 of 5

After reading the amazing reviews for this product, I decided to take the plunge. I ordered the Lotion from Dermstore.com, and it arrived very promptly. The first few days of usage, I broke out in a scattering of whiteheads but after a week, they quickly cleared up. My skintone is more even and best of all, I have no breakouts! Right before I began using Bioclear, I had several stubborn clogged pores on my jawline that had been on my skin for a long time and a few breakouts on my chin. But the Bioclear Lotion cleared them right up! This product is very potent, so I recommended using the tiniest amount when you began using it. I did experience some dryness and flaking for the first week, but it eventually went away (with the help of MB's Healing Cream). If you plan to use this product during the day, please apply a liberal amount of sunscreen about 15 minutes after you apply the Lotion. This product is my new HG!

Moisturizers -Olay - Complete Defense Daily UV Moisturizer SPF 30 - Sensitive Skin
rated 3 of 5
Laniecat 4/3/2004 3:09:00 PM

I hate to be the one that messes up the perfect rating, but this product broke me out horribly. But I did give it a few lipsticks for the reasonable price and the high SPF. I think someone who can wear a high level of zinc oxide will really like this product. It does not leave a whitish cast, like many other zinc oxide sunscreens. I just wished it worked for me. I'm going back to my HG, La Mer Fluid!

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Ginger Glossimer
rated 5 of 5
Laniecat 3/2/2004 12:29:00 PM

My perfect peach lipgloss for the Spring/Summer. It has a hint of pink to it, and it's not orange at all. It's a little darker then Pin-Up and not as frosty (a plus, IMO). Too bad this is not available in the U.S., but check Ebay for reasonable deals on this awesome glossimer.

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Spices Quadra
rated 5 of 5
Laniecat 2/16/2004 5:23:00 PM

I bought this based on the positive reviews, and I'm not disappointed! The shades almost remind me of Stila's coveted Summer Shades trio. When I went to try this out, the MA used the beige-white as a wash, the pale copper shade on my lid, the brown shade in my crease, and pink-gold shade in the middle of my crease. These shades create a gorgeous, natural look. Love it!

Eye Shadow -Shu Uemura - P Blue 631
rated 5 of 5
Laniecat 2/10/2004 11:53:00 AM

This color is a baby blue with a hint of silver. A perfect year-round color. This is my first Shu eyeshadow, and I've found the pigment to be unbeatable. It's not as easy to blend as my Stila eyeshadows, but the little extra work it takes is worth it. This eyeshadow looks terrific as a wash color, paired with P Blue 693 as a liner on the upper & lower lashline. Both are offered only from Sephora, and were featured in Sephora's Fall 2003 catalog.

Eye Shadow -NARS - Dream Lover Duo
rated 4 of 5

I really like this duo for a fresh, natural spring look. The lemon shade is my favorite of the two, and also looks nice paired with NARS new Heart of Glass eyeshadow single. I love NARS!

Eye Shadow -NARS - Island Fever duo
rated 5 of 5
Laniecat 2/6/2004 4:19:00 PM

Island Fever is from the Spring 2004 collection. It contains a taupe gray shade and a baby blue shade - both have shimmer. Like most of the other NARS duos, there is many different ways to wear this duo. So far I have worn the gray shade from lashline to browbone, and the baby blue shade in my crease; as well as the gray shade as a wash and the blue on the upper lashline, blended upwards towards my crease. This duo gets an A+ from me!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Chromezone #1
rated 5 of 5

This little gem of an eyeshadow palette is gorgeous! It comes with Pickle [LE] (dill green), Gleam (very shimmery pink-champagne shade), Brulé (creamy-beige), and Mystery (a warm plummy brown shade). So far I've worn Brulé as a wash, Gleam on the lids, Pickle in the center of the crease, and Mystery to line. Mystery can also be used as a brow powder. This palette gets an A+ from me! I just wish they would introduce Pickle into the permanent line.

Makeup Brushes -NARS - Wide Contour Brush 16
rated 5 of 5
Laniecat 1/31/2004 3:54:00 PM

This is one of my favorite brushes in my collection. I do need to note that I use this brush for blending and not for contouring. The brush hairs are soft and luxurious and feel like silk on my eyelids. With a few strokes, this brush blends my eyeshadows effortlessly. A staple in my brush collection.

Blush -NARS - The Multiple in Antibes
rated 4 of 5
Laniecat 1/31/2004 3:45:00 PM

I use this multiple underneath my blushes to give them an extra 'oomph.' It adds a subtle, pretty sheen to my cheeks. It's really more of a highlighter than blush, but definitely very pretty. I haven't tried it on my lips or my eyes.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Jaipur Glossimer
rated 5 of 5
Laniecat 1/27/2004 9:14:00 PM

Jaipur is an absolutely gorgeous lipgloss that can be worn year-round. It brightens up my face and adds a beautiful pink sheen to my pigmented lips. Like all of Chanel's glossimer, Jaipur is moisturizing and long-lasting. A definite HG. NOTE: Jaipur look terrific over Chanel's New Pink Sugar lipstick. Ask your Chanel counter for a sample of the lipstick - they should have sample tubes. :)

Palettes -NARS - Rapture
rated 5 of 5
Laniecat 1/25/2004 2:06:00 PM

I had been wanting to get my hands on this palette for the longest time. And thanks to the Saks sale, I finally have this palette. The eyeshadows are a pleasant surprise - the Charade duo brings out the blue in my eyes and the white shade makes a nice highlighter. However, Ashes to Ashes is the real standout eyeshadow in this palette. Similar to Chanel's Vega, AtoA is a taupe brown shade with shimmer. Sin looks nice on my MAC20 skin when applied with a light hand. And I'm absolutely in love with the lipsticks. I definitely plan to purchase Dolce Vita and Gipsy in full-sizes when I run out. I am traveling to NYC in a few months, and I plan to bring my foundation, this palette, and my Cat Cosmetic's mini brush set.
