Powder -Illamasqua - Powder Foundation
LadyLilithI 8/13/2009 2:57:00 PM
I was looking for a powder foundation which offers a little more coverage than a pressed powder to apply over my concealer. In addition it has to match my extremely fair, cool toned skin. No easy task but this product is exactly what I wanted. I’m glad that the coverage is light because thus it doesn’t look cakey at all and provides a natural finish. It isn’t as dry and matte as a pressed powder, either. It just evens out the skin tone where I don’t apply concealer and where I don’t need a lot of coverage. I’ve got acne-prone skin and it hasn’t broken me out, yet. The shade PF105 is a perfect match for me and this one doesn’t contain Carmine.

Lips -Just for Redheads - SPF 15 Lip Tints Palette
LadyLilithI 3/6/2009 1:11:00 PM
I've got this kindly as a gift and I'm positively surprised. The Lip Tints are moisturizing (especially with the included Vitamin-E Lip Butter) and impart a sheer, natural hue and subtle shine (no shimmer). The lasting power is average for a sheer lip product, I think. I like that the colour fades away evenly. My favourite shade is Seduction (a medium brownish rose/mauve) which is MLBB, closely followed by Tiramisu (a darker rosy brown). I would describe Pout as a medium pinkish coral (too warm for my cool skin tone) and Antigua as a light warm pink (too light for my medium pigmented lips). The sheer formula and the SPF 15 make this a great lip product for spring/summer. The vanilla scent is also nice. I'll buy the full size of Seduction when the sample is used up.

Lipstick -NARS - Flaming Dust
LadyLilithI 10/3/2006 9:11:00 AM
Despite the sheer formula Flaming Dust is just too bright and pink toned for me. (I’m a cool – neutral toned PPP with red hair and blue eyes). I also dislike the golden shimmer that for some reason nobody mentions here. The formula itself is great. Although it's sheer it has some staying power and doesn’t dry out my lips.

Blush -Bobbi Brown - Blush in Nectar
LadyLilithI 8/28/2006 8:43:00 AM
I’m a natural redhead with extremely fair, cool to neutral toned skin. This blush is one of my favorites. It shows up as a matte, subtle, coral pink flush – exceptionally natural and fresh. Being rather neutral it harmonizes very well with my coloring; it keeps balance between my cool skin tone and my warm hair color. On me this blush lasts the whole day, irrespective of season or climate. In the summer, when my skin is oilier, it even gets a dewy finish that’s equal to a good cream/gel blush or stain.

Treatments -Paul Mitchell - Hair Repair Treatment
LadyLilithI 8/28/2006 7:26:00 AM
What can I add … This treatment really precludes your ends from splitting! But since it’s intended for damaged, fragile and chemically-treated hair, I don’t use it anymore. I would buy it again, if I experienced major splitting, or if I dyed my hair again. The latter won’t happen so soon. ;)

Eye Primer -Just for Redheads - Creme to Powder Shadow Base
LadyLilithI 8/28/2006 6:05:00 AM
I always use this, even when I don't wear eye shadow at all. It covers and lightens the lid area and blends very well with my extremely fair skin. Because of the cream to powder formula and the lack of mineral oil the finish is matte. It noticeably improves the intensity and the durability of eye shadow.

Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Eye Shadow in White
LadyLilithI 8/27/2006 4:45:00 PM
A matte, pure white eye shadow I (cool toned PPP) use as a wash all over the lid and at the inner corners of the eyes to brighten the eye area. I don’t think you necessarily need shimmer in a highlighting shade when a matte formula looks much more natural, especially if it’s as sheer as this one.

Mascara -Just for Redheads - Mascara Supreme
LadyLilithI 8/27/2006 3:43:00 PM
I've tried the Spice Supreme Waterproof Mascara. Its shade is great and it actually is waterproof, it never smears. It emphasized my lashes nicely and I have experienced no clumping. However, I just couldn’t stand the smell. It was very intense and even during wear I could detect it sometimes. Maybe the smell was also the reason, why I found this product somewhat aggressive. There was no visible irritation but the feel wasn’t as pleasant as that of other mascaras by JFR. A lot of waterproof mascaras are drying and this one is no exception, unfortunately. I’d buy it again if the formula was improved.

Eyes -Just for Redheads - GingerRed Brow Stick
LadyLilithI 8/27/2006 3:07:00 PM
The shade of this brow stick matches my golden copper red hair perfectly. To achieve a remarkably natural effect I recommend drawing lots of light, short strokes over your brows and taking off excess with cotton-wool tips until the desired color intensity is achieved. Brush your brows with a brow brush afterwards. I also recommend storing the stick at a cool place in hot weather. Otherwise it gets too waxy.

Mascara -Max Factor - Max Factor 2000 Calorie-Deep Auburn
LadyLilithI 8/27/2006 2:09:00 PM
I've bought this mascara because of its many positive reviews on this board and I'm not disappointed. It’s really a good, more dramatic alternative to JFR’s GingerRed. The shade is darker and has more blue undertones. It strongly reminds me of dark chestnuts, simply deep auburn. The texture is richer and keeps the lashes separated making them appear longer and thicker. It does smell a bit weird but the smell is not so intense that it’s perceptible during wear. I recommend wiping off any access with a tissue prior to application. Although I’m not TOTALLY happy with the shade – I find it slightly too cool and plumy – I’ll buy this product again because of the dramatic look it provides.

Blush -Just for Redheads - NOT JFR- Redhead's Fancy tea rose blush
LadyLilithI 7/19/2006 11:05:00 AM
I’m a natural redhead with very fair, cool to neutral toned skin. I bought this product after I had read the previous review by Fhorn and I totally agree with her. The packaging is rather poor but you get a very flattering blush for a reasonable price ($7.50 each). I would describe the shade as a matte, neutral, peachy rose and it’s EXACTLY the shade my cheeks turn when they flush up. One application tip: Although I use a high quality blush brush (by Bobbi Brown), too much of the blush sticks to it as it's very pigmented. You’ll have to wipe or blow off a bit before you apply it to your cheeks. You may place an order online at www.redheadsfancy.com. International shipping is possible – another big plus. Moreover, the delivery is fast; I live in Germany and received my order just a few days after I had placed it. For products by Just for Redheads I always have to wait for weeks and the shipping costs are higher there. Needless to say that I’ll definitely buy this product again when I run out of it. Actually, I'm thinking about getting a back-up. :)
