Concealers -Ellis Faas - Concealer

I bought this in the lightest shade on Sephora's website, 201, and it ended up being too light for my nc15 skin (under eye area). I loved the formula, so I made the color work by mixing it with a darker concealer (armani corrector). The two main issues I have with this product is that 1.) TERRIBLE packaging. The clicker pen is so inconsistent in terms of how much product comes out, I would get so frustrated and just dread using the product. 2) there is very little product in the packaging for the price. I'm trying By Terry next.

Hair -A/G - Control Shampoo

This is my HG shampoo for controlling dandruff. Doesn't dry out my hair as badly as the other dandruff shampoos I've tried and it works! Love the smell too.

Mascara -Sephora - Full Action Extreme Effect Mascara

I've only used a sample of this for the last month, but so far I LOVE. This gives me amazing volume without the crunch, and I love how I can layer and layer this on. I don't have to wipe the brush first too, like I have to do with just about every mascara. Give it a try!

Concealers -Inglot - Under Eye Concealer

I bought shade MC1 for my NC 15 skin and it was too dark, so I ended up mixing it with a concealer that was too light (Ellis Faas in 201). The texture is very light and runny; it reminded me of the Garnier Rollerball concealer, however the Garnier has more coverage. I think this concealer would be good for someone who doesnt have much to cover, yet wants a little bit of something.

Eyeliner -Ulta - Automatic Eye Liner - Black/Brown
rated 3 of 5
LTcurlygirl 3/13/2013 11:32:00 PM

I bought this on sale, and would not re-purchase. I used this as a regular eyeliner (on the top lid, not on the waterline) and this would smudge on me. The texture reminds me of Revlon Colorstay eyeliner, however the Colorstay has better lasting power for me.

Cleansers -Alpha Hydrox - Foaming Facial Cleanser
rated 2 of 5
LTcurlygirl 3/9/2013 5:12:00 AM

I have dry, sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts. I bought this cleanser to remove residual makeup after using cleansing oil and for use in the mornings; it is very mediocre. I don't feel it did a good job cleansing my skin, yet it always left it feeling tight and parched. Would not repurchase.

Cleansers -Clarins - Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Cottonseed for Normal or Combination Skin
rated 4 of 5
LTcurlygirl 2/23/2013 11:37:00 PM

This is the most luxurious cleanser I've used to date! I really hate washing my makeup off at night, but this cleanser makes it less of a chore. Its very creamy and silky and just feels great on my skin (no tightness) I have to use an oil cleanser first in order to remove makeup, however and it is expensive, but you really only need a tiny amount for each use.

This is an HG can't live without it cleanser for me. It's gentile, yet removes everything. Love it! I buy it by the case.

Brows -Sephora - waterproof retractable eye brow pencil
rated 4 of 5
LTcurlygirl 8/21/2012 7:07:00 PM

I'm happy to have found this! I used the blonde/lightest color and it was a good match for my dark auburn hair. The pencil itself is very thin and precise, making it easy to use. I also appreciate the little comb on the other end. The only major problem I have is that I went through a whole pencil so fast! There doesn't seem to be much product in the twist tube, so I'm not sure if it's actually a good deal or not.

Concealers -Lancome - Effacernes
rated 3 of 5
LTcurlygirl 8/21/2012 7:02:00 PM

This is decent concealer. I use it under my eyes to hide bluish circles, and it doesn't cover them completely, but it does make the area look much better. It has a good lasting power, and only a little bit is needed to cover my entire under eye area. It does settle into fine lines a tiny bit, but far less than the majority of concealers i have tried, both drugstore and high end. Although this is fine, I'm still looking for something better....something that perhaps will be a tad less drying.

Styling Products -Carol's Daughter - Hair Milk
rated 2 of 5
LTcurlygirl 8/21/2012 6:57:00 PM

I have to use this in combination with other products because this gives me no hold or frizz taming; all it does is makes my hair soft, so I use it under gel or curl cream. I don't notice much of a difference if i don't use it, so will not re-purchase. Too expensive for what it does.

Mascara -Korres - Provitamin B5 & Rice Bran Mascara
rated 4 of 5
LTcurlygirl 8/17/2012 10:48:00 PM

Love, love, love! This mascara is awesome for giving thick fluttery doll eye lashes. I love it because you can put layer after layer of it without any fear of clumps. The only drawback is that it's a very dry formula, so a tube will only last a couple months before drying out. But so far, this has been the only non-drugstore mascara I would consider buying again.

Foundations -Kevyn Aucoin - Sensual Skin Enhancer SX03
rated 2 of 5
LTcurlygirl 8/15/2012 2:38:00 AM

I bought this foundation because of the raves on here, but I'm going to have to return it for several reasons. 1) It clings to my dry areas and emphasizes flakes. 2) It settles in my pores 3) it emphasizes fine lines This foundation reminds me of Bobbi Brown Stick foundation, which acts the same way with my skin. I'm really disappointed this didn't work out for me, as I had such high hopes, but it really looks terrible. I tried using it on straight up with fingers, a beauty blender, and also mixed with a moisturizer. On a positive note, you really do only need a little bit, and it is good for travel. Also SX3 is a decent match for NC15.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Aloe Body Butter
rated 5 of 5
LTcurlygirl 8/4/2012 2:48:00 AM

This is my HG moisturizer for my legs, which get very dry and sensitive after shaving. This moisturizer is very effective and makes my legs so soft. I also love that it is scent free, and a little goes a long way. Packaging is great too, because you can easily get every last bit of lotion out before throwing the container away.
