Palettes -Sonia Kashuk - Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette
LJorg 1/21/2012 5:27:00 PM
I love this concealer! Having natural raccoon circles 24/7, it's difficult finding something that's not too thin and doesn't look cakey. This had the right amount of coverage, and it wasn't too light or too dark either. I was worried that the green section for acne would look like a weird green patch on my skin, but it blended perfectly! This is also very layerable and buildable, which is good for someone like me who has a tendency to put concealer on thick.

Tinted Moisturizer -Sonia Kashuk - Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 (tube)
LJorg 1/21/2012 5:19:00 PM
A terrible product. Not only did it smell pretty bad, it also took out all of the glow from my skin and made my face look incredibly dull and orange. I haven't see any breakouts yet, but I've also only used it two days. At least I kept the receipt.

Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous
LJorg 12/9/2011 9:28:00 PM
Love these! They're relatively cheap, don't have a bad smell, and have a wide color selection. So far, I only have Fuchsia and Sassy Mauve. The Fuchsia one was kind of an experiment, and it looked awful with my skin tone. Trying to scrub it off was definitely one way of finding out these lipsticks have staying power! On the other hand, Sassy Mauve looks good no matter what I pair it with. It's neutral enough for a casual look, but has enough color where I can wear it out to dinner.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst in Soft Rose [DISCONTINUED]
LJorg 12/9/2011 9:18:00 PM
I love these lipsticks! They go on smooth and strong, and they have good staying power. I have five colors: Soft Nude, Petal, Carnation, Raspberry, and Plum. The only one I didn't like was Raspberry because it was FAR too orange-y on me. Plum, on the other hand, is my favorite red lipstick (though it may be too dark for some people). I strongly recommend these, especially if you can get them on sale at CVS or even Target. They are a little pricy.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser
LJorg 12/9/2011 9:08:00 PM
Just awful. Did nothing for my skin except dry it out very badly. My acne stayed exactly the same. Was majorly disappointed because I had heard such wonderful things about it. I wanted so badly to have this work--used it once, then eventually twice a day for four months with no improvement whatsoever.

Primer/ Corrector -Physicians Formula - Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Correcting Primer
LJorg 9/23/2011 6:05:00 PM
I've never tried a primer before, but this was definitely a good first experience! My usual makeup generally has no problems lasting, so I really only wanted something to even out my skin a little bit before I put on foundation and concealer. This did an excellent job! I absolutely hated the packaging though. You have to click the icky brush part way too many times to get enough product out. Also, it's a little bit pricy for only half an ounce.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - eye studio color explosion in pink punch
LJorg 9/3/2011 5:43:00 PM
Let me start by saying that if you don't like glittery/sparkly makeup, stop reading now and just don't buy it. You'll hate it. Since my Target only had the green, brown, and pink pallets, I went for Pink Punch. I definitely don't need more brown eye shadows! I thought I was making a mistake at first since pinks usually make me look crazy or tired. I was delighted to find this made me look fabulous instead! It gave my lids a nice shimmer which didn't irritate my contact lenses. I love it! Great colors, amazing payoff, and a silky smooth formula! This is definitely my new favorite pallet. The luminizing top coat makes it super incredibly glittery. Probably too much so for most people. The sparkles get EVERYWHERE if you're not careful. It's not like you have to use it though.

Blush -Maybelline - Dream Mousse Blush in Peach Satin ] ] [DISCONTINUED]
LJorg 9/3/2011 5:23:00 PM
When I first applied it, I absolutely loved it! I thought I had found The Holy Grail of Drug Store Blushes! That's when I realized that in the 30 seconds to apply my lipgloss, the blush had already completely faded from my cheeks. Maybe my skin was somehow too oily for it to stay. Maybe I just needed a darker color. Either way, I'm not getting it again (at least not in Peach Satin). It would've been PERFECT had it actually stayed.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner
LJorg 9/3/2011 5:11:00 PM
This wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The tip was pretty precise, but I had some difficulty creating my usual cat eye look with it. It lasted pretty well for a waterproof liner, and washed off easily. Sometimes it came out a bit heavy or too fluid for my taste, but that happens. However, when compared to my usual liner, Maybelline Line Stiletto, it just wasn't as good. It was nowhere near as pigmented as I wanted (kind of a weak grey), and I found it sometimes tended to smear before it dried--a problem I had never had with the Maybelline one.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Up & Up: Daily Facial Moisturizing Lotion (Sensitive Skin)
LJorg 8/18/2011 3:12:00 AM
It has a slight sunscreen smell when I first apply it, but that goes away quickly. It doesn't give me breakouts or anything, but it also takes a while to absorb into my skin. Still, for $6 I'll definitely buy it again. It does exactly what it's supposed to.

Blush -Physicians Formula - Happy Booster™ Glow & Mood Boosting Blush in rose
LJorg 6/1/2011 11:51:00 PM
I loved the Translucent one, but the Rose one was just too pigmented to use. I'm pretty pale, and have a tendency to be heavy-handed with makeup. Put those two together and Happy Booster in Rose just doesn't work well for me. It just comes on too strong and looks clownish on me, no matter how hard I try! :- It doesn't boost my mood, which would be really disappointing if I had ever actually expected it to. At least it looks cute sitting in my ever-growing stash of makeup!

Pressed Powders -Physicians Formula - Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Powder in Translucent
LJorg 6/1/2011 11:43:00 PM
I really like it! Very cute packaging, and adds a nice glow to my face. The hearts are adorable, and it smells great! Has good lasting time, and you only need a little bit of it to get it to show up nicely. Of course, the brush is a little piece of shedding junk, but who actually uses the ones that come with anyways? It also might be a bit shimmery for some people. Kind of expensive too, so better to wait for it on sale. Would recommend, and would buy again if I needed to!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast
LJorg 6/1/2011 11:31:00 PM
Wow! I'm surprised by all the positive reviews on this one! I definitely didn't like this mascara at all. It felt like I was jabbing a club at my eye with the ginormous wand for starters..... After applying it carefully through my lashes, wiggling at the base and pulling through like a good girl, I still noticed absolutely no improvements in volume or definition, even after many coats. Many, many coats. Also tended to clump together after it had dried, and then flake off. Made my lashes feel crunchy and weird! It added a little length at least, and was cheap. Never buying this again!

Mascara -Rimmel - Glam Eyes
LJorg 6/1/2011 11:13:00 PM
Didn't care much for this one. I like bold, dramatic lashes, and this one just didn't have enough impact for me. Would work nice for a natural look probably. Formula also seemed kind of dry and flaky on my lashes, and took many swipes to get enough product on. I liked that it was cheap though, and thought the tube was kind of cute.

Concealers -Neutrogena - Mineral Sheers Concealer
LJorg 6/1/2011 11:01:00 PM
Overall, a nice concealer. Doesn't work that great for for under eyes, but covers acne well (as was already mentioned). I find it a bit yellow for me, and it takes more effort to blend then I would like. Seems to just sit on my skin! It does have a very thick, creamy texture, which I like, and it lasts pretty decent. It comes in a nice little case with a setting base powder in the bottom. Even though it's not my fave concealer, this one's good to just throw in my purse to have on hand. However, it probably costs WAY more money then it should, so wait for a sale if you really want to get it. I paid almost $14 for this! Yikes.
