I hesitated to buy this. Normally I wear Smashbox Halo or Diorskin powder foundation, but lately my face has been looking washed out. I do not have dry or oily skin, but my skin is very sensitive. I really do like this BB cream. It is a little dry and thick. I put a light moisturizer on before I apply it (1 lippie off for that). You need to work quickly with this product and in sections. I put a small drop on my forehead, then blend it in, then another small drop on my nose and blend and so on until my face is done. This way the product applies smoothly. It provides more coverage than most TMs but does not feel heavy like a cream foundation. It imparts a nice subtle glow to my skin, not matte, but not shiny, perfect. It does not settle into fine lines and after 2 weeks of use, I have not had any adverse reactions to this product. I find it looks better on my skin without any powder on top. If you have very dry or very oily skin this may not work for you. It does seem a little pricey for the small amount, but I think this should last a long time. I use 5 small dots for my entire face. I got this in medium which is the color I use in Halo and it's a perfect shade for me. In Dior I use 040.
Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Double Intensite - Rose Morganite
LILYFISH 7/21/2011 8:21:00 AM
I love Chanel's Rouge Double Intensites and so I was very exited to see this new color for Fall 2011. No need to wait for fall to wear this one if you are medium skin or darker or if you have lighter skin and like a bold lip. This is a beautiful cool toned deep rose if applied full on, Applied with a light hand, it is a beautiful berry stain. Rose Morganite wears very well, like most in this line (the frosted/pearl colors don't wear as well IMO). For me, the color wears off evenly and is mostly gone after about 8 hours. BTW, if you caved (like me) and bought the Chanel Rouge Shine only to find that they are way to sheer and lack staying power, they look lovely applied over this.
The reviews on this are to be expected and are exactly what made me want to try this. Anytime a scent produces extreme love and hate, I know that in all likelihood I will love it. I am a fan of Thierry Mugler scents and Angel le Lys is my most often worn scent. Womanity is true love for me. I love the sea, but had never found an aquatic scent I could wear. This one is perfect. The opening sweet fig notes subside somewhat to reveal a delicious salty sweetness (caviar?). I don't care for the name and the bottle is not appealing to me, but I don't care what it looks like or what they call it, I'll be buying this again and again.
This wax is very creamy in texture when you put it on, but does behave as a light wax. I have very fine, thick long hair. This product gives some texture, smoothes frizz, allows quick re-styling with my hands and adds volume. It only takes a small amount for my hair, so for $10, I think the price is quite reasonable. If you have very thick coarse hair, it might require a lot of this product.
Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Double Intensite - Rose Agate
LILYFISH 6/23/2010 8:41:00 AM
I love these Chanel lippies and I own many. I was exited to try the rose agate as I was looking for a pink rose natural looking lippe for the summer. The quality is great as always and I will use this, but on me, it shows as a peachy nude and not a rose, which is why I gave it a 4 and not a 5. This is probably due to my coloring, Many times, colors turn orange on my skin. Chanel color swatches online for these is always way off. I should have bought this at the Saks counter instead of ordering online. For now, I'll stick with Rose Garnet. For you ladies that have trouble with application of these, apply a very light layer (I dab it on and then spread with a lip brush) then let dry until it is no longer tacky and apply the gloss.
Polishes -Sally Hansen - Complete Salon Manicure - Shell We Dance
LILYFISH 3/27/2010 9:09:00 AM
Cheap and fast. Sometimes that just what a girl needs. Two coats of this and you are out the door. This polish has the best brush I've ever used. I put this polish on bare nails 3 days ago and it still looks perfect. I picked up the color "Sheel We Dance", a very sheer milky pink. This is a great product for in between manicure appointments.
I got the sample from Sephora too. I didn't have high expectations for this as I am not a big BE fan. To my surprise, I really like this mascara. Buxom is probably not the best name for this mascara. It's is not, as others have said, dramatic at all. It is, however, a great everyday mascara. It doesn't smudge or flake, applies beautifully, makes my long, but thin eyelashes look feathery and full, and it doesn't make my lashes feel hard and crunchy. I've been using it everyday since I got it. I still use Diorshow for a nightime dramatic look, but I'll definately buy this one when my sample runs out.
Beautiful cool toned deep berry red with a lot of depth (2 coats). I chose this for my pedi today. It really is more of a Fall/Winter color, but I couldn't wait to try it!
Oh, stupid me! Why didn't I research this first? I saw this at fragrancenet and bought it, not realizing it wasn't the delightful fragrance from the 80's. This is a very cheap shallow drugstore fragrance in a cute bottle. Not offensive really, but not worth wearing. Air freshener it will be!
Lip Gloss -Chanel - Rouge Double Intensite in Rose Garnet
LILYFISH 6/2/2009 1:48:00 PM
This is my everyday lippie. For me, it is just slightly darker/pinker than my natural lips. (I'm a cool/neutral medium skin). It does not look at all purple on me. The key to these Chanel lippies is to apply lightly, let dry and then apply the gloss. I'm always tempted to buy other lippies and when I do, I always regret it. These last all day, do not make my lips dry and do not wear off in an unattractive way like the DS versions. I think application is the key.
My new favorite scent. I only wish it wasn't so expensive (not so expensive that I won't buy it mind you). I find myself drawn to these types of fragrances, you know the ones people love or hate, the "in your face" types. As a reference, I love Angel and 1969 Revolt. This scent is not for you if you like a light clean scent that doesn't demand attention. As others have mentioned, there is a lot going on in this fragrance, which is why I like it. I get bored with scents easily. This one keeps me (my nose) interested all day. It is the combination I love of fruit and incense and it is a sophisticated blend that lasts and lasts.
My first impression was like others, Where's the vanilla? This opens very green, like fresh cut grass on me. Not a bad smell, but not what I like either. But, after I had it on for an hour or so, it developed into something so soft and wonderful, just a little vanilla and a diluted lily. I got a sample from the Perfume Court. Not sure yet if I will buy this or not. I love the drydown, the opening - not so much. If you are looking for a true vanilla scent - this one is not for you. If you like lily and you don't want a generic scent - give this a try.
A perfect pink. Looks great as mani or pedi. Very natural looking, not too sheer, just enough pink, just enough shimmer. Love it. I don't usually buy polishes because I have my nails done, but this one I will buy to use in between appointments. I think this would work well for all skin tones.
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Histoires de Parfums - 1969 Revolte

LOVE! I only wish it was easier to find. Starts out fruity and morphs into a lovely soft patchouli on me. It gets better throughout the day and lasts a LONG time.
Eyes -Revlon - Marble-ous Match Liner/Crayon - Orchid You Not
LILYFISH 10/10/2008 11:38:00 AM
Picked this up at Walgreen's today on impulse. I was attracted to the colors. The shadow end is okay. It's soft enough so that it doesn't pull and it's good for placing shadow along the lower lash line. The liner end color looks gorgeous, but infortunately isn't dark enough for my medium skin tone. It's blendable and so I will use it as shadow as well. I like it okay, but probably won't purchase it again as there are so many other products like it (many of them collecting dust in my overflowing makeup drawer).I didn't really notice the marble-ous effect when applied and that was disappointing.
