Treatments -TRESemme - Split Remedy Leave-in Conditioning Treatment

I have very fine, color-treated, damaged hair, and most products are too heavy for my hair, but I NEED something or else my hair looks fried. This product, along with the conditioner, has been amazing so far! I only need about 2 pumps onto wet hair. It works best if allow it to set it while I do my makeup, and then I blow dry and flat iron. It doesn't weigh my fine hair down at all; it actually seems to give it more texture and bounce. This product keeps my hair tamed and less static-y. I highly recommend this line for anyone with fine, damaged hair!

Lotions/ Creams -Avon - Avon Basics - Silicone Glove Hand Cream

In high school, I had a job in a nursing home kitchen, so my hands would constantly be dry and irritated from being in water and wearing rubber gloves. Finally, my mom bought this for me and suggested I use it. She talked about how she had the same problem and this was the only stuff that helped her. I was hesitant at first, because I can't STAND greasy hand lotions.. they drive me crazy. But once I tried this stuff, I was in love. This really seems to penetrate the skin and help heal it as well as protect it.. without feeling gross and slippery. I found that even after washing my hands with soap my hands still felt soft and protected. This stuff really did save my hands from my job. The scent is the only (very minor!) complaint I have, it's a little too perfume-y for my liking, but it's not too bad at all once you get used to it. This is a staple in my purse and school bag, I use it all the time and will continue to repurchase and have for years :)

Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Aquaphor Healing Ointment

This stuff is seriously the best! I always get severly dry, itchy, cracked skin on my hands when it gets cold out, and this product provides the most relief and healing! It IS greasy- but hey, it's derived from an oil product, so it makes sense. I'm suprised to read some people use this on their face because it contains mineral oil- this stuff WILL make you break out. Maybe not right away, but eventually any product that contains mineral oil that I've used on my face has caused my acne to flare up, so just be cautious. I bought it in the tub, and I'm only 1/3 of the way through it and I bought it 3 or 4 months ago.. a little of this goes a LONG way! Definitely worth the purchase for anyone who suffers from severly dry, cracked skin or even just seasonally dry skin.. this stuff really does work WONDERS :)

Cleansers -St. Ives - Naturally Clear Green Tea Cleanser
LESLiEx90 11/18/2010 1:13:00 AM
I got this product about 2 months ago. I really loved it at first- I love the scent and it really did help calm my redness a little. It's good for removing makeup, but I really haven't seen an improvement in my acne, which is why I bought the product in the first place. Lately I've noticed that my skin has felt really tight after washing with this product, and I've gotten a dry, flakey patch on my cheek.. nothing a heavier moisturizer can't handle, and I'm sure it's due to the colder weather as well, but annoying nevertheless. I also use this in the shower on my body- back and chest- and I think it's better suited for that than a face wash. I'll finish the botte but I will not be repurchasing.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Combination Skin Moisture Oil Free
LESLiEx90 11/18/2010 12:59:00 AM
After Clean & Clear discontinued their Day moisturizer which I had been using for years, I was on a search for a new moisturizer that works just as well under makeup and doesn't make me break out. I tend to break out on my chin and around my nose area, but my cheeks are usually dry, so I figured this lotion would be a good choice for that, and I've had generally good experiences with Neutrogena products. However, this lotion changed that.. I found that it actually seemed to make me break out after a month or so of using it. I would have to apply several layers to feel like the lotion was actually doing anything, and then it would leave a weird film on my skin. If I applied more than one layer before applying my foundation, it would rub off in little balls and ruin my foundation application.. very irritating. However, I feel like there is a lot of product for a reasonal price, and I do like the packaging. Overall, I think this product is pretty low quality and not worth purchasing for any skin type, especially combination or acne prone. I'm going back to Clean & Clear brand and hoping for the best!
