Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo 6 Piece Eye Brush Set

I heard neutral to good things about these brushes, and of course, seen their use in one of Michelle's videos. Uses: I purchased these brushes for the use of drugstore eyeshadows only. The set comes with five brushes with name labels on their handles: Blend (looks like a large shader brush) , Highlight (looks like a standard brush), Crease (angled brush), Shade (small), and Smudge. Performance: Fair-poor, in all drugstore brands, some brushes can pick up product, others cannot. I can't seem to pick up any product at all with the large flat shader labelled Blend. The highlight brush is simple and can pick up most drugstore brands which makes me happy, but it's blendability with other colors are poor-fair (as expected with most drugstore eyeshadow brushes). I do not use the Crease brush since i'm not a fan of angled eyeshadow brushes (and it sheds). I don't really use the small Shade brush for anything other than highlighting under the browbone. Lastly, I use the Smudge brush for the inner corners instead for traditional smudging (and I already have a smudger I use regularly) because it fits right in there. Overall: Three Lip rating since I bought the set mainly for 3 brushes (Highlight, Smudge, and Shade), and they work with most of the drugstore eyeshadows I purchase. I definitely do not use or recommend these brushes with more expensive brands.
At first this pencil seemed okay for me, but after a course of 2 months, this pencil is overrated. For tan-deep tones, the color can be a bit too off to be blended in the tear ducts and brow bone, I'd go for a more light beige/peach for that. It DID make a nice brightener for the waterline, however, the lasting power doesn't cut it for me (about 1 hour, 2 if my eyes aren't that watery) and of course we all hate the fading chalky look on our eyes. The other day, someone actually asked me if I had baby powder in my eyes! How embarrassing! **Update** I finally tried it for the inner corners and browbone. One word: CHALKY. It goes on smoothly and blends out ok, but in the next couple of minutes it chalks and drags little pieces where you tried to blend it out. Awful.
Makeup Brushes -MAC - #210 Precise Eye Liner (Fine Point)

Any other designs or ways I want to apply my eyeliner; this brush definitely does the job. I love the sleekness of it. It's also not too short or long for a paint liner brush.
Concealers -Hard Candy - Nobody's Perfect concealer palette

I originally got this as a small gift from a cousin in the pallet shade Medium. Immediately I was anxious to open it and play around with all the colors. I noticed the pink and yellow pans were pretty useless, it actually highlighted my dark circles with it's shiny glitter specs. The green pan was too sheer to actually cover a lot of redness or blemishes. And I do not know if it was just me, but all three of the skintone pans had different consistencies to them! The lightest shade was very thick and creamy ( a bit hard to dish out), the second lightest shade had a slippery feel to it, and the deepest shade (which was the only one closest to me) was even more oily and slippery when dishing it out, far too sheer also. Overall, I think this pallet is best for those with very minor imperfections. What surprised me the most was the price, eight dollars? Pass.
My sister got this quad to do her makeup for prom. and i absolutely loved the way the MAC employees did my sister's eyes. She still has this quad today (too bad the purple eyeshadow got smashed in). I love the colors; maybe I'll find a dupe for the purple shade and wear this myself :)
I only bought the Baby pink shade as an eye brightener. It actually works pretty well. It's not as creamy as Stila's apricot liner, but that just makes it much better because it does not transfer to your bottom eyelashes.
Mascara -L'Oreal - Double Extend Mascara with Lash Boosting Serum

I find this mascara better than the Beauty Tubes version. Maybe it's the whole fiber formula difference between the two, nonetheless, it's a very nice mascara. The serum maybe added a lash or two, but my lashes hardly ever fell out with continued use of this mascara and the separate night Serum L'Oreal sells. For some reason the blue (mascara) side would run out first than the gold (fiber) side.
This was actually the first mascara I tried. At first I loved it, but eh, over the years you find better ones. The plastic bristles didn't do well on the eyelashes, I feel like it doesn't fully catch and separate all of them.
Eh, again, I'm picky on certain browns. This was a real nice brown, but it wasn't deep enough for me. The lasting power was not impressing at all, I thought it'd be just as great as their shadows or lipsticks.
Eyeliner -Cover Girl - Liquiline Blast in Brown Blaze

I was actually going to do a rage review for this product because of its absolute horrible lasting power, but then I completely forgot about the method of putting primer before and eye shadow after. I guess it's been THAT long since I've used Drugstore liners, well, Pencil liners for that matter! Hahaha.. Too bad you gotta stick this in the freezer for a while just to sharpen it, but with its great lasting power, I do not mind at all :)
Eyeliner -Rimmel - Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil in Pure White
KrystalEmmaMarie 1/31/2012 12:09:00 AM
I was really hoping to like this, since some blogs raved about it being cheap and long lasting. The liner seemed soft enough, but it can look seriously chalky on your waterline if more than three swatches are applied. The liner flaked off completely onto the bottom lashes in twenty minutes.
Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo Angled Eyeliner Brush

I purchased this for eye shadow application on the brow bone, tear ducts, and on top of my eyeliner. It's very dense and packed, so it washes with ease. Any thin gel liner wearers out there wouldn't like the thickness of this brush, but it does have other great uses for eye shadow :)
This has got to be my most favorite frost shade. It looks absolutely amazing when paired with most eye shadows. In light, you will get so much compliments about your eyes looking like pearls/opals :)
Holy crap. What a trip down to memory lane! This was the first eyeliner I tried in the sixth grade. With eye shadow on top, these liners lasted all day on my waterline. It's been a long while since I've actually used perfect blend eye pencil, but as far as remembering, it was definitely a great beginner pencil :)
Eye Shadow -Revlon - Colorstay 12-Hour Eyeshadow -General

The Coffee Bean package was very pigmented. It listed steps to combine all four shades to create a nice smokey eye effect, BUT it only takes ONE hour for your creation to turn into a brown, faded mash that covers the entire lid. Anyone you meet an hour later would think you apply eye shadow like a one year old.
