Hair -Garnier - Fall Fight shampoo and conditioner

My hair was dyed black, then I went blonde then brown then blonde and back to brown. My hair is in terrible condition and deep fried with texture like straw! I decided to try Garnier's Fall Fight shampoo and conditioner for breaking shedding hair not expecting much from it at all. I am so happy I tried it and will be going back to buy the large size bottles. It makes my hair silky soft, shiny, bouncy and healthy looking. I mean HEALTHY and SUPER SOFT! I can't say that I notice less fall out but it doesn't claim to prevent that, just treats or eliminates breakage and yes it has helped with breakage, I no longer hear that snapping sound of my hair breaking so maybe it has made my hair stronger. I noticed a difference in the texture of my hair with first use(softer, silkier) Has a nice light scent, typical Garnier hair product scent that lingers in hair all day. It contains caffeine and biotin. I highly recommend this product. If you seen my hair two weeks ago before I started using this stuff you would be running out the door right this second and hoard every bottle on the shelf at the drugstore that's the huge change this has made in my hair!!

Polishes -Essie - Ballet Slippers

Not at all pleased with this nail polish! It bubbles up on your nails after it dries! No I did not shake the bottle, as I know this causes bubbles. It also stinks after it dries, I applied in the evening and the next morning I could smell it still on my nails! I tried another Essie polish in a deep burgundy and that one did the same thing. It is a pretty milky pale pink shade, does last a good few days without chipping, and is glossy. Maybe it is the way I am applying it, but I doubt it as I only get the bubbles with this brand. I will not be purchasing Essie polishes anymore, unfortunately. The colors are cute and great quality intensity without alot of coats, and I love the shine, but those darn bubbles!

Hair Color -Clairol - Nice 'n Easy Hair Color

I dyed my natural medium chestnut brown hair in Natural Black #122 about 5 months ago. I am very pleased with how long this color has lasted in my hair, did NOT fade at all during the summer months, and I sat outside in the sun almost everyday! I just need to touch up my root growth that is all. This dye did not dry out my baby fine fragile weak and thin hair at all, my hair stayed soft and tangle free! Also I did not notice any hair loss after using this dye and my hair usually falls out in chunks after coloring, that is why I avoided dying my hair for years. At first, right after coloring my hair, it did look alot blacker than I wanted, but after a few washings it did fade to a natural not artificial looking black, so if you decide to use this shade do not be alarmed by the intense black you get, after a few washings it will tone down, but the color will last for a long time without fading afterward, you will just need to buy the Root Touch Up kit. Maybe it was the shampoo that I have been using that keeps my color looking fresh? I don't know, but if it helps I have been faithfully using Dove Damage Therapy Moisturizing Color shampoo and conditioner since coloring my hair.

Conditioner -LUSH - Veganese conditioner

I used Veganese together with Daddyo shampoo on my box dyed black hair and love the results. My hair is super glossy and shiny, looks like I just colored hair! I hate the scent of these two products. Veganese smells like lemon furniture polish! If you can get past the scent, you should try this if you want incredibly shiny glossy hair!

Shampoo -LUSH - Daddyo shampoo

When I bought this shampoo my hair was a medium chestnut brown, I felt it was looking a little drab and moussey with a little bit of yellow a tinge to it, so even though this shampoo is made for blond grey hair I wanted to try it. The sales girl promised me that it would not lighten my hair, but would bring out my natural red tone highlights and make my hair really shiny, so I bought it. It did make my hair very shiny and did bring out some of my natural brown and red highlights and took away the yellowish tinge. I didn't use it for a very long time, it eventually expired, the expirey date on the bottle was in 2009! I called the store and they said it would be fine to use still. Anyway, I forgot I had this and decided to try it again on my hair. My hair is now box dyed black from Nice n Easy. I tried this on my black hair and loooooooooove the results, wow! My hair has NEVER been soooo freaking SHINY! love this shampoo for the results, but HATE the hippie scent it leaves in my hair! This did not lighten my hair, just brightened my color, it actually looks like I just colored my hair, and trust me I am way overdue, my color was starting to look drab, but this shampoo together with Veganese conditioner left my color looking fresh, shiny and brand new! I have a friend who is a blond and she used this shampoo for a few days and it did lighten her hair, I asked her if she got highlights, she said no, just been using Daddyo for a week! Huge difference in her color-wow! Great quality product but don't care for the scent.

Shave Products -Avon - Silky Stay Shave Gel

Leaves legs greasy, dulls the razer and because it is greasy, you don't get a great shave, I hate this stuff, it really clogs the razer bad, I used it twice hoping the second time would be better, but wasn't! Try to rinse the razer, forget it, I had to TRY to wash the oilness off, as you know oil and water do not mix! My poor legs were red and had little bumps and ended up with ingrown hairs from this crap! To make things worse, it leaked allover my other products in my cosmetics drawer and left a gross slick oily mess! Don't buy, boycot this crap, wish Avon would discontinue this, it's the worst product from them EVER!!!!!!

I buy these when they go on sale for 78cents and keep them in my makeup bag in my purse, thet work great Silicone Glove and Intensive Therapy mini lotions are my at work staple hand lotions I must have to keep my hands from getting dry and rough! Silicone Glove obviously has alot of silicone in it. Keeps my hands slippery soft and smooth, I dont mean slippery as in greasy, but as in that is how soft my hands become. Has a nice light grown up hand lotion scent.

Bath Treatments -Avon - Skin So Soft Bath Oil

I have used this along with my family as a bug and mosquito repellent, rather than using a chemical stinky Off or other product, and yes it WORKS!! So not only do we smell nice, we are moisturized and no itchy bites, I actually was standing at the bus stop last summer with this oil in, and watched as a mosquito was preparing to land on my arm, he landed then flew off as fast as he could! No bites! Just make sure to wear a sunscreen with this oul, as it will attract the sun with the sheen, it soaks in, so don't worry about being a greasy mess, wear your hair uo as you are applying it and at least until the oil dries so you don't end up with slicked ends. I apply in the morning rifght out of shower on damp skin, that way it soaks in faster and locks in moisture for softer skin, also like that I'm not going to work stinking like bug spray! You can also add a cap full to your bath water, this can also be found in a spray mist bottle form, I simply buy the huge bath oil one, then just refill the spray bottle to use as a bug repellent. Trust me I live in mosquito ville and this works, keeps ticks away too, black flyes etc... I apply to my dog too, her coat is shiny and soft and it is safe - no chemicals!

Lotions/ Creams -St. Ives - Vanilla Body Lotion

The reason St Ives Vanilla body lotion has been hard to find is because they were changing the packaging, I worried it was being discontinued, so I investigated lol. I like the old version scent better, i'm not sure if the formula has also been changed along with the look, but it just doesn't seem to be as strong and vanilla-y as before. I still love this product though, it is a softer more muted vanilla, smells alot like almond extract/almond sugar cookies. The scent also doesn't last very long at all.I must admit though that I love really sweet vanilla scents, and this is just not sweet enough for me anymore, but I will continue to buy for those days when I want a faint scented body lotion, and because it gives great moisturization, and doesn't make my sensitive skin rashy or itchy! It is a very thin lotion, but very smoothing and moisturizing, it leaves my skin very soft in the harsh cold Winnipeg winters standing at the bus stop daily in ice wind! I also like to apply at night before bed for its soft relaxing scent, I keep a huge 600ml bottle by my bed. I will use this even when I find a sweeter vanilla lotion. St Ives doesn't test on animals,doesn't contain animal ingredients, contains no parabens or phthalates.

Styling Products -Alberto Vo5 - Vo5 Miracle Mist Heat Defense Style Spray

This product has been renamed MIRACLE MIST HEAT DEFENCE STYLE SPRAY and comes in a blue misting bottle. I apply this before I do ANY heat styling at all, first I apply Infusium 23 moisturologie leave in treatment to damp hair, then I apply this heat protector. It keeps my hair from drying out with the two combined products, considering that all styling products have alcohol and other drying ingredients in them, plus the heat from the hairdryer, then either the curling iron or extreme heat from the straight iron. Won't heat style unless I have this! I love that it gives out a very fine mist and not a huge blast of prodct that soaks the hair like some others I have tried. I also love the scent. HG!

Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Hard as Nails - Clear

Every woman should have a bottle of Sally Hanse Hard As Nails clear in their nail polish collection! I use it as a base and top coat, adds a nice gloss to polish when used as a tip coat. Strenghthens nails and protects from splitting. If you do happen to split or brak a nail apply this over the problem to mend until it grows out. Also a must to use after removing acrylics to strenghthen and build up the nail again. Keeps nails from yellowing if you are a dark polish addict as I am! Apply to corners of nails when using a dark polish to help the staining come off easier. I also use this alone by itself on my nails when I just want a simple clean but shiny look to them, with the added bonus of the protection and strenghthening than just applying a clear polish. Also amazing to stop nylon runs!

Treatments -Infusium 23 - Moisturizing Leave-in Treatment

I have very baby fine thin easy breakage fragile hair, so before I do any kind of heat styling this spray leave in moisturizing treatment goes on my hair before anything else and it truly daves and protects my hair and actually adds more healthy benefits and deeper moisturization when used with heat. I feel the heat pulls it deeper into my hair. It doesnt weigh my thin hair down, is very light, leaves hair soft, and smooth, no frizz or little hairs flying around or sticking up. Adds lots of shine, makes hair swingy like in hair commercials! Nice light clean scent. I apply to towel dried damp hair, spray on palms of hands then I rub them together and smooth over hair then use a wide tooth comb to distribute evenly through hair. Next I apply Herbal Essencess Tousle Me Softly mousse if I am going for a big hair volume or wavy look, if going for a natural, smooth straight hair look I use Dove Smoothing Frizz Control cream, either way, whichever product I am using for whatever look I then apply a heat protecting mist from Alberto VO5 called Miracle Mist Heat Defense.

Loose Powders -Avon - Ideal Shade Loose Powder

I only gave this a rating of four lippies, but it deserves 4 1/2 and that is just because I have dry skin and this seems to dry it and add flakiness. But other than that, amazing coverage when applied over liquid foundation, totally covers up flaws, redness and dark circles. I apply my blush before this to tone down the blush, looks more natural and pretty but not makeup-y. I use a foundation brush or my Quo eyeshadow brush to apply this over undereye concealer. This powder is ultra fine and soft, so it doesn't fall into or emphasize creases or lines, it actually smoothes them out if not layered on too thick. I wear this to perfect the look of my skin with liquid foundation usully Cover Girl Clean Makeup. and I use a shade darker than my white skin tone to act as a non orange fake bronzer. Comes in a shaker jar, I shake upside down with lid on obviously then swirl in my cheapy Walmart brand powder brush(with silver grey handle, looks like Quo's) and lightly apply all over face, then I go over to blend in around eyes and around nose with a foundation brush. I will be purchasing again, besides the drying of this powder (every powder does this to me, so I'm not blaming it on this powder quality, as I find the quality wonderful), but first I want to try out Avon's new mineral loose powder and hope that is the one powder in the world that wont suck up the moisture from my skin.

Cleansers -Ponds - Deep Cleanser Cold Cream

Smells faintly of roses. Perfect for thorough and gentle removal of even the thickest everyday and stage or halloween makeup. No need to tug or rub skin to remove stubborn mascara. Simply apply to skin first-cheeks, forehead and hin everywhere but eyes, then gently massage to breakup the face makeup, once done that start removing eye makeup, massage a teeny teeny tiny little bit to eye lids, lashes and lower lash line, don't get into eyes, keep them closed. Grab a soft tissue and lightly give a couple of swipes acreoss eyes,lashes and lower lash line and voila, stubborn waterproof makeup is totally gone like as if it was never there in the first place. Now grab a clean tissue and softly swipe and remove cold cream and makeup from face. Then while you still have a bit of cold cream film left on skin, lather up with a bar of Dove soap, and water in hands, and gently massage into face, eyes too, but keep closed, I use both Dove original and sensitive bars on my face. After lathering rinse off with luke warm water 15 splashes, then a touch cooler water for another 15 splashes and pat not rub skin with a soft towel. Your skin will be so soft and moist after this cleansing and makeup removal. The Pond's Cold Cream leftover film residue from the makeup removal adds protection from drying out your skin when using the dove soap, and the soap cleanses your skin deep into pores and you want clean skin for that fresh glow perfect skin look. To finish off I apply a layer of Dove Dry Skin Cream. This program is really cheap and simple and it really works for me, you won't believe the compliments I get on how nice my skin looks, or how many times I am asked what is it I use. I trust this regime and these products, my neighbor who I grew up next door to was in her fifties and had been using this regime since her twenties and had gorgeous skin, she is now in her mid 70s, still doing this and NO wrinkles or lines on her face, xcept for a few smile lines around her eyes. No wrinkles, no lines, no pores that are noticible!

Styling Products -Clairol - Tousle Me Softly Mousse

OMG!! HG!! I cannot believe this mousse actually gives my wimpy baby fine thin do nothing hair serious volume!! That lasts the whole ENTIRE day!! No Joke!! This mousse doesn't even claim to add or hold volume in the hair, it is more for wavy hair. It keeps frizz away and no little flyaways when I use this, not sticky, or hard but soft hair with and I am not exagerating here but TONS of VOLUME!! I styled my hair for volume and then went out in a wet snowy day and this stuff held up and my hair didn't fall down or lose it's style. The smell is devine too, I love it! I hate the feel of styling products, they make my head itchy, feel heavy or dirty, I can't even feel it in my hair, my hair feels totally soft and natural with this mousse!
