I am surprised by how much I love this lip gloss! I bought this one as the 2nd choice in a BOGOF. It looked dark in the tube and that turned me off but I decided to go for it because I ahve so many pinky looking glosses already. It goes on nearly nude,
I was first introduced to these when a friend gave me the Dr. Pepper lip smacker in junior high school. She was shocked I had never heard of them before. Well since junior high I have loved Lip Smackers. Some are a bit gritty, glittery, frosty - but there are so many to choose from and so inexpensive that it does not hurt when you lose one.
Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve

This was a good lip balm, not great but good. I like that sheer pinkish color. I like that it does not leave my looking like I have super slick wet lips - not that there is anything wront with that - just some days you want to be more natural. I like that I can keep it in my backpack, my jeans pocket and it never leaks. I like that I can keep it on my desk at work, and it does not look like I have a lip gloss laying around. I even like the smell. I would definitely buy it again if I ever run out but it was not a life altering moment for me when I first tried it.
I love these. They smell is heavenly, they are not too thick and tacky like a lot of glosses. They have staying power and come in a wide variety of shades. Definitely try them out if you are on the fence.
Love the tingly cooling sensation this gives. Is very moisturizing and can't be beat for the price.
This stuff is so cheap and so good! I only use it on my T Zone once a week or whenever I begin to look shiny. It reminds me of toothpaste and speariment chewing gum. And while I would never want to put those on my face I love using Queen Helene. It does not overly dry out my face, make me red & blotchy or burn at all. Definitly worth more then the amount I paid for it!
Eye Shadow -Chantecaille - Lasting Eye Shade - Cinnamon

This is by far my favorite Chantecaille eye shadow. I was originally afraid to wear any bronze or browns as I am a PPP and thought browns would be overwhelming on me. I was wrong! Chantecaille e/s are so soft and silky that you can apply them as sheer or opaque as you like. Cinnamon is a gorgeous light warm brown which I use as a wash from lash to brow. Looks great paired with Cola. It really makes the green in my eyes pop.
I like this but I find it tends to dry my skin out. I don't have very oily skin so maybe it would work better if my skin was not so dry already.
Lip Treatments -Philosophy - The Candyman dreamdates yummy lip balm

Yuck!!! This was awful. I wanted to like it - I really did!!! I love Philosophy and I love lip glosses - thought this would be perfect. What were you thinking Philosophy???? I am not sure what was more disturbing - the unnaturally bright hot coral pink color, the gawd awful plastic-ey sweet smell which gave me an instant headache or the scary serial killer looking "ice cream" man on the tube!!!
Treatments -Philosophy - ON A CLEAR DAY blemish gel [DISCONTINUED]
Koobie 9/27/2003 9:28:00 PM
I am not sure if I would buy this again or not. I don't often get pimples but when I do I like to have an arsenal to back me up! I have found that this definitly helps dry up zits but it has never dried them to the point of making them disappear for me. If anything, I notice that every time I use it lightly, 2 days later I am red and peeling where I applied it. The zit might be better then having a dry red peeling blotchy spot on your face!
Skincare - Face -Philosophy - Hope in a Jar Eye & Lip Cream
Koobie 9/27/2003 9:25:00 PM
This did not do anything for me. I have dry sensitive skin and it seemed to make my eyes burn. I really wanted to love it!
I have tried this in the tub and was "bleh" on it. I then recieved a free Eye Believe in the tube form and I like it better. The consistency seems more fluid. Still I doubt I'd purchase this again.
I use this nearly every morning, mix it in with my Hope in a Jar with a squirt of Shelter SPF and I am set! I did not notice a differance in my skin at first but now after using this vitamin C for @ 5 months I can defnitly tell when I don't use it. The only bad thing about it is it is a bit awkward to dispense as I don't have a counter in my bathroom. The other odd thing I have noticed about this is if I use Visine and the tears run down my face after applying this Vitamin C with my moisturizer, it leaves bright red steaks down my face!!! Isn't visine supposed to get the red out?? They fade eventually but it is quite scary looking. The worst part of it was I was already late for work and was trying to figure out how I was going to explain the red streaks running down from my eyes, knife fight scars from riding the subway?? So please don't use Visine when using this!!!
I loved this but will not repurchase it. It was too expensive and my hair sucks up conditioner. If someone was giving it to me for free I'd jump at the chance - heck if someone was selling it for a 1/3 of what it costs I'd jump for it! I did not like the tub it came in either - when you are in the shower and have sudsy hands the last thing you want to do it struggle to unscrew a lid. I have found that Garnier's deep conditioner works nearly as well as this product and only costs $3
I am surprised by the negative reviews on this. This stuff is amazing to me!!! I use it in conjunction with the Greatest Love scrub. But I really enjoy using the Great Mystery more. When I first got it a few months ago I'd be at work and could not wait to get home and use it. It is so refreshing. Perhaps the other reviewers were confused about this product - it is not a scrub. it is not supposed to be gritty. It is a gentle mask - can even be used over your eyes!
