I don't actually own this product, I have only used the tester in Ulta and OMG it smells SOOOO good! I really smell the mango, which I like a lot. If you are a mango fan, this one is for you. It also seemed to last a decent amount of time as well. I normally use testers and then leave without purchasing to make sure that the perfume mixes well with my body chemistry and this one smells fruity and delicious! LOVE! I will be purchasing this one!
This is probably one of the first blushes I ever bought. I LOVE the color. It is a very flattering rosey pink and is probably one of the best blush colors I have ever used. It's kind of like my go to shade that I can pair with anything and it always looks good. My only complaint would be the noxzema-like smell, but I love the color so much, I won't even take off for that. Plus, I have had mine so long that either I have gotten used to the smell or it has faded because it doesn't bother me as much anymore. You NEED this color!
Okay...so I bought this lipstick based on the good reviews and I'm really disappointed. It added a weird almost clay-like color to my lips. It overshadows my natural lip pigment. Personally, I don't like the nude lip, but if you do, you might like this. I like the formula and I love the chic black packaging. I will probably purchase this again in a different color, though it is expensive as far as elf products go.
Concealers -Almay - Bright Eyes Eye Base + Concealer
KittyKat131 6/3/2010 12:08:00 AM
OMG OMG OMG!!! I am SO happy right now! Recently I have noticed more creasing in my eyeshadow. I don't know if my eyelids have gotten oilier or what, but it's straight up annoying when you spend so much time getting it perfect and then you end up with every last bit of it stuck in the crease. EW! Okay, so I've never used a primer before other than just concealer (which didn't really work), so I have nothing to compare this to, but...I AM IN LOVE!!! This stuff works amazing-ly well as a primer. As a concealer, it's pretty good...nothing too special. But as a base? OMG! LOVE! It works perfectly. I have currently had my makeup on for 14 hours...and...NO CREASING! NONE! ZILCH! NADA! I did use a new eyeshadow today, but it was just Cover Girl, so I'm pretty sure that's not the culprit for my lack of creasing. Anyway, I don't understand the bad reviews because...well...this is a total HG for me!
Okay, let me first say, I HATE matte shadows. But the colors in this duo were just so darn pretty I couldn't pass it up. I bought it when it was on sale for $5, but I had a coupon so I got it for 4. Now, I'm super cheap, and this was a little expensive for my taste, as the pan isn't very large. However, TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! These colors make my blue eyes pop. They are super pigmented and gorgeous! I've only used it once, so if my opinion changes, I will update, but for now, I'm in love with the colors! I hate the packaging, but I can deal. They are hard to open and I have to stick a nail file under the tab to open it. But once you do open them, the colors are vibrant and absolutely amazing! <3
Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Metallic Duo - Sculpted #106
KittyKat131 4/22/2010 10:28:00 PM
I really like the colors in this duo. They are very pretty. The metallic pinky shade is very flirty and girly, almost fuchsia and the purple is deep and gorgeous with little fuchsia shimmers. My only complaint is the packaging, which I CAN'T STAND! It is so friggin hard to open. I ended up jamming a nail file up under there to open it up. But, despite that, I fight with it all the time because the colors are very pretty, the payoff is great, they blend well, and they are super pigmented. What more could you ask?
I love this product! I have tried brow pencils and was looking to try a powder, as I thought it would look more natural. Boy was I right!!! I don't know why I waited so long! I have sparse eyebrows and this really helps fill them out and make them look natural. I am a red head, so I have no problem with the redness others keep referring to (though I don't notice it). I totally recommend this product...my HG of brow fillers!
Eyeliner -Jordana - kohl kajal eyeliner--bashful blue
KittyKat131 4/9/2010 1:01:00 AM
Okay, I'll admit it, this was a complete impulse purchase. Nothing more. Darn those clearance bins at the checkout! The color grabbed my attention right away. It is soo pretty and I just wish I could wear it! It is WAY too light for me and makes me look like a cheap clown at a children's party. Hmm...maybe I can find come sort of arts and crafts project to do with this... In the picture it is the 2nd swatch down. EDIT: added one lippie because it makes a nice highlight shade. It can also be used instead of white to line the waterline. it has the same effect, but not as harsh.
Eyeliner -Revlon - Luxurious Color Eyeliner - Blackened Sapphire
KittyKat131 4/9/2010 12:57:00 AM
This color is sooo pretty! It smudges a little more than I would like, but I can deal. It's a deep blue with just a tinge of sparkle and a purple undertone. So pretty! It's the 4th swatch from the bottom in the picture.
Eyeliner -Avon - Ultra Luxury eyeliner -- Midnight Blue
KittyKat131 4/9/2010 12:54:00 AM
This is a pretty eyeliner and I love how smoothly it applies. It smudges really easily, which can be good or bad, depending on how much you like to smudge your eyeliner. My favorite thing about this liner is the color. It is a rich metallic-y blue, but it's not too over the top. It's a good product, but not my favorite. I might repurchase if I ran out. If you are looking for a gorgeous eyeliner, try Avon's glimmersticks diamonds in twilight sparkle...now THAT is a gorgeous blue! In the picture, it is the third swatch from the bottom.
Eyeliner -Jane - Be Pure Mineral Gliding Liner--slate blue
KittyKat131 4/9/2010 12:50:00 AM
I only paid a dollar for this when Walgreens was getting rid of all of their Jane stuff, but it wasn't worth it. This eyeliner isn't necessarily bay, but it's not necessarily good either. The only word to describe it is average. Average color, average staying powder, average smudging. In fact this eyeliner is probably one of the most boring I have ever used. All I can say is, "eh." It is the 4th swatch from the top in the picture.
Eyeliner -Unlisted Brand - Icing by Claires Sparkle Stix
KittyKat131 4/9/2010 12:46:00 AM
I guess I can't complain much because I only paid $1.50 for it, but I really wasn't expecting the huge scratchy glitter chunks in this pencil. I mean, I know I have sensitive skin and all, but this is intense! The color is okay, but this pencil is soooo uncomfortable to apply. Needless to say, I wouldn't repurchase. In the picture, it's the middle swatch.
This is an okay eyeliner. The color is pretty but it's a little too light for my liking. It also doesn't really stay put. It smudges easily, but I don't feel like I've wasted my money because I still bring it out from time to time. It's also really soft (duh--the name says so...thank you captain obvious) which I kind of like, but I don't like that I have to sharpen it ALL THE TIME.But oh well, the color is still pretty. It's the third swatch down in the picture.
I really like this green. It is a deep, rich forest green and a really pretty color. It does smudge a little, but it's sooo pretty. It's not my favorite, because of the smudging, but I would probably buy this one again. I've added a swatch, it's the top color.
Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HIP Color Rich Cream Crayon in Authentic
KittyKat131 4/9/2010 12:34:00 AM
In general, this is a pretty decent eyeliner. It could be used as an eyeliner, but I tried that once and it was way too dark and intense for me to pull off. My main problem with this is that it is a bit too thick to be used as an eyeliner and it can be hard to control. Other than that, pretty color, long-lasting, doesn't smudge, but not my favorite. I probably wouldn't buy again simply because NYC waterproof teal is my HG green eyeliner. I've added a swatch for it. It is the bottom color.
