Masks -LUSH - Cupcake Mask
Kittea 10/15/2012 8:59:00 PM
Okay, I have to be honest. I have no idea if this does anything super amazing for my skin, other than lightly exfoliating it and just making it feel comfortable. I don't suffer from too much acne, and though my skin is oily, I do not really expect a $7 mask to change that. But, this is such a treat to use, it smells so lovely! It doesn't irritate my skin, or break it out... It just makes it feel cool, and delicious. Great for pampering yourself while you're relaxing in a bath.

Liquid -Giorgio Armani - Maestro Fusion Makeup
Kittea 9/21/2012 11:02:00 PM
This foundation is simply amazing, it looks exactly like skin. It literally feels like nothing on my skin, it is completely weightless. With a product as thin and light as this, you would expect it to be sheer, but this foundation is anything but. It covers the redness in my skin perfectly, this is most definitely a medium foundation, though I am sure it can be worn sheerly if so desired. The way this product is bottled is very unique, but very effective at dispensing just the right amount of product. It applies flawlessly with fingers, it takes almost no time at all. It lasted quite a long time on my mildly oily skin, even when I was active all day. This is definitely HG material for me, I am in love!

Primer/ Corrector -Clarins - Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch
Kittea 8/5/2012 9:47:00 PM
I have repurchased this about 5 times already. I adore this primer, it fills in my lines ridiculously well. Personally, I do not have terrible fine lines or wrinkles as of yet, but if I apply foundation or concealer under my eyes, I look much older. This totally fills in my lines and cancels the effect concealer has on me. I don't really have large pores, but I find that this does not do much to fill what pores I have, personally... It definitely helps my foundation last longer and apply more smoothly though. Since this is a rather thick product (it doesn't feel terribly heavy though), you should definitely wait a good amount of time before applying makeup over it. I know this is probably a deal breaker for many, but even if I rush in the morning I find it works /almost/ just as well. I would also recommend applying this to areas where you need it, and not ALL over your face if you don't feel like you need it. I usually apply a decent layer to my undereye area (gently, of course) and use whatever is left over to cover my cheeks and nose area. This certainly has never aggravated my skin, or caused any pimples or excess oil. Love, love, would highly recommend.

Blush -Lancome - Blush Subtil Palette 158 Pêche Savvy
Kittea 8/3/2012 4:53:00 PM
I could not resist these adorable palettes when I saw them at a Lancome counter. The packaging is compact and sleek and it is so nice to have everything you need for a perfect complexion in this little palette. The quality of the powders is just beautiful, I love how soft and blendable they are. The blush is very pigmented, I was worried it would be too shimmery, but I find it has /just/ enough of a sheen to it. I love this particular shade, but I am sure everyone's tastes will vary. The contour is really nice, I like the fact that it is very easily blended out, as I have super fair skin. It is a true neutral tan, not orange or red, and despite it appearing to have slight shimmer in the pan, it is matte (I am sure the shimmer from the blush&highlight migrated to the top, but it doesn't transfer noticeably to the skin). The highlight is nice, nothing life changing, but it certainly does its job without being too shimmery or obvious. It imparts a nice subtle glow, it blends into my skin tone perfectly. I adore this product, and recommend it if you can find a combination that works for your skintone.

Mascara -Laura Mercier - Full Blown Volume Lash Building Mascara
Kittea 7/28/2012 1:39:00 PM
I went through 2 samples of this, and I am dying to pick up a full size one a.s.a.p. It gives me so much length and volume, even more than Lancome Hypnose. It is not clumpy, smudgy, or flaky on me, and it is definitely my new favorite mascara. It's also a /few/ bucks cheaper than Hypnose, so yay. :P

Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup
Kittea 7/15/2012 2:27:00 PM
Overall, I find this foundation to be mediocre at best. It applies rather patchily, fingers, brushes, sponges, nothing can give me a flawless application. It looks well enough (sometimes) that I am willing to wear it out, but it just cannot compare to my favorite liquid foundations. I can see no reason why anyone would choose this product over a liquid foundation suited to their skin type. Liquid products are much smoother and more natural looking, and offer better coverage without the heavy feeling this particular product gives. For the thickness and heavy feel this has on the skin, I'd expect it to have more coverage, but surprisingly it's very light. I like light coverage, but only if the product is also lightweight on my skin too. Not my favorite product, but it does its job well enough, I suppose. The chance I'll reach for it again are pretty slim, though!

Toners -DDF - Glycolic Toner 10%
Kittea 7/15/2012 2:13:00 PM
I have never suffered from a ton of acne, but it was pretty rare for me NOT to have at least one pimple on my face at any given time. I found it annoying enough to want to do something about it, so I picked this up after reading all the reviews. It definitely keeps pimples at bay, except during my TOTM. It does help heal up those pimples faster than before though. I do not really have any problems with fine lines or pore size, so I can't really speak to how well it works on that end. But, I find it to be great for my needs, it doesn't strip or dry out my skin, the tingle actually feels cooling in the summer, and the smell is just something I can deal with for the 30 seconds it takes for it to go away. I think I have about 60% of my bottle left and I have had it for a little under 2 months, I would estimate this lasting at least 4 months if used twice daily, so it is kind of worth the price. :P

Polishes -Essie - Bikini So teeny
Kittea 7/8/2012 6:12:00 PM
I adore this color, it is just the most beautiful cornflower blue I have, I can't stop looking at my nails. The formula is actually quite decent, it is not terribly thin, but it is not terribly thick either. It took me 2 coats on my nails, and 2 coats on my toenails to get a perfect, even looking color. I will say that the shimmer in this polish did not dry well, for some reason... I felt like it left a somewhat gritty finish, but I am a big fan of topcoat, both for extending the longevity of my polish, and for correcting any shortcomings a formula might have. After one coat of Seche Vite, the finish was perfectly smooth and gorgeous. I do not find this polish to be too tricky to work with, it isn't perfect, but I honestly can't imagine needing 3 + coats to get opaque coverage! I find some polishes need to be applied more thickly right off the bat, that way they level themselves off and you aren't spending 2 hours doing your nails, haha.

Lipstick -MAC - Vegas Volt
Kittea 7/8/2012 5:49:00 PM
I think like quite a few other ladies, I was expecting this to be a pit pinker and more coral like in the pictures shown above. I think the color of my very pigmented, cool red lips turns this lipstick into a more orange shade on me. I really like it though! It is not as hard to pull off as so many straight up orange lipsticks, but it definitely still has that pop. Amplified formulas are the most drying on me though, and also the most difficult to work with. I always just dab them very lightly over my lips until I get the intensity I desire, rather that gliding them on.

Highlighters -MAC - Light Year
Kittea 7/7/2012 2:10:00 PM
This product is a gorgeous peachy highlight, with a golden sheen. On me, the color of the product is pretty noticeable, it does not entirely disappear into my skin. While it is not a strong color, if I apply it down the center & on the tip of my nose, it gives an extremely subtle sun kissed glow, which I adore for these warmer months. The sheen it gives off is beautiful, there are no chunks of glitter or anything sitting on the tops of my cheeks. The product itself is very fine, my brush kicks up a bit of powder in the pan, but I would not say it is overly powdery. I love this MSF to bits, not only is it beautiful to look at, but it performs spectacularly as well.

Blush -MAC - Ring of Saturn
Kittea 7/7/2012 1:50:00 PM
When I first swatched this product at a counter, I instantly thought of NARS Orgasm. Well, I was totally wrong! Orgasm is much pinker, this shade is much peachier. They both have a golden sheen, but I find the sheen in Ring of Saturn to be much smoother and more flattering on myself. The pigmentation of this blush is pretty amazing, since I am very pale I have to be careful not to overdo it. While this blush is very warm toned, it suits my cool-neutral complexion very well. The powder is very fine, but it does not kick up too much dust when I swirl my brush in it. Overall, I adore this blush, I will probably be hopelessly addicted to using for months to come.

Primer/ Corrector -Urban Decay - De-Slick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray
Kittea 6/22/2012 2:45:00 PM
I love this stuff, it definitely keeps my makeup looking fresher longer in the summer. Does it completely battle oily skin? No... But it seriously prolongs the lifespan of my makeup, and helps me need a lot less powder during the day. I am a fix+ kind of girl though, I love how comfortable that product makes my skin feel after applying makeup. But unfortunately, it just doesn't cut it in the summer when I need something to actually prevent my makeup from sliding off of my face, haha. This feels quite nice going on, but after it dries it doesn't really feel that great. But, it IS an oil control product, so what can I expect? Of course it is going to have drying properties. Oh well, I still subtract a lippie for that! Nothing's perfect, but this is pretty great and I wouldn't skip it on a hot, humid NYC day for any reason.

Lipstick -Chantecaille - Camellia Lip Chic
Kittea 6/17/2012 2:27:00 PM
Wowww, I will definitely be picking up more of these colors when I get the chance. The formula is just absolutely perfect, it is so amazingly comfortable on my lips. I do not even need a balm underneath, it really provides long lasting hydration. The pigment is also quite good for this type of product, with this particular color being a MLBB shade on me. It is very wearable, and just helps me look polished. I probably will not buy this shade again, it isn't bad, but just not very exciting on me. I'll use this up though, and will be looking into getting some more colorful ones soon.

Liquid -Shiseido - Sun Protection Liquid Foundation SPF 42 PA+++
Kittea 6/14/2012 8:55:00 PM
Okay, so I have had this foundation for awhile now. I used it maybe a grand total of 3 times last summer and tossed back into my drawer until I came here and read all the glowing reviews & HAD to give it another chance. My first experience was not really all that great... This foundation slid around my face quite a bit, sunk into my pores, and generally did not look that fantastic after an average day (not outside for too long). Again, I have been testing it out in the humid, hot early days of June and honestly . . . My feelings have not really changed THAT much. I definitely do not dislike it as much as I did to begin with, then I would have given it a 1 but now a 3, which is an average score. I put it on at about 6:45 this morning, it is 8:45ish pm now, and I spend a good amount of time just doing nothing but sitting indoors, or riding in a car and it is still pretty darn crummy looking. My skin is not really that terrible either, it is quite smooth, but oily (I use foundation to cover some redness). It is passable though, but I honestly like Chanel VA much better, or even ELDW sheered out with moisturizer. Both come out looking much better than this by the end of the day, and while I appreciate the SPF in this, I already wear a 50 SPF primer so I do not really need it. :[

Lips -Shiseido - Water in Lip
Kittea 6/8/2012 8:24:00 PM
I have this in the Raspberry scented version, and I love it. It just melts onto my lips with no trouble at all, it leaves no residue or strange color, just comfortable, smooth lips. It is wonderful under lipstick, I can't wait to pick up more of these. :)
